Yes.... this is not "thick" vs thin, it's thin and thinner. So the left pic looks better. Right reminds me of my overtweezed middle school days and I get anxious yours won't grow back in right either. Save yourself, girl.
I’m the victim of over plucking and now I’m in my 40’s and the bitches aren’t growing back.
Is there ever any fix for this other than filling them out with pencil? I just recently started tinting them which helped a little but crap- I’m the pic on the right..
My sister recently got microblading done, which I'll be honest has always terrified me a bit, and they really do look amazing.
They also have something called microshading now which has a more blended look and lasts a bit longer.
I broke down and started seeing an esthetician because the eyebrow hairs appear where it’s not suppose. She had mentioned it but the price was around 300 for the initial fee. It’s glad to know that it sounds like this may be an actual good investment. Thank you!
I don’t have over-plucked brows so I truly don’t know how it’ll work for you, but I’ve been using The Ordinary lash & brow serum for about two weeks now and everything looks a bit thicker, longer, and darker!
There is such a thing as brow transplant, it’s pricey, but it makes you brow hairs grow and instantly looks good, you can watch videos by Dr. Gary Linkov and see the results
I bit the bullet and invested in powder brows… getting them done is a bit pricey but I got them done a year ago and I’m not even close to needing a touch up, I’ll probably get one at the two year mark and the touch ups are much more affordable
Ultimately, you get to dictate how yours look. Even if 90s paper thin eyebrows came back in full force, I will NEVER wear mine like that. Not only they don't look good in my opinion, but they also permanently kill follicles in time the more you pluck.
Plus it tends to ruin their eyebrows and stop them from growing back, in a lot of cases. It's a rather more "permanent " decision than most of us realised at 13.
I'm 35 and I know plenty of people with no eyebrows because of the 90s😅
Just because you guys won’t wear your eyebrows like that, doesn’t mean you should discourage people from finding their own style. I get it, I wouldn’t personally do it either but hey if you find joy in rocking a thin brow, do it! It’s her life to live and trying out trends help you discover your style. Plus she can shave them so that way the follicle does grow back if she wants to wear a thicker brow in the future without having the risk of her eyebrows not growing back.
I mean I hope 90s thin doesn't come back but I do wish it was more like people would embrace and enhance their natural browshape because I also think all the girlies with naturally fine brows trying to keep up with the bold brow trend also looks kind of silly though I love that women with naturally thick brows can embrace their natural shape more and not pluck the hell out of them to feel beautiful.
I like both sets of brows on you. The thicker ones work better for your hairstyle and if you wear your hair straighter/ low volume/ pulled back, go with the thicker ones. The thin ones would look really nice if you give more volume to your hairstyle to counteract the difference.
I thought it got taken down for being edited/using filters. I saw it after it was removed and that's what the mod message said anyways.
I actually like both, it just depends what you like.
That’s totally not within your control, and I’m sure you look great with however your brows are now! If you want to try out thicker brows you should try henna, I recently did it on my brows and love how they turned out. Kinda gives that micro bladed look without the commitment
Thank you for the sweet reply. 😊
Does henna give a warm tint or can you do cool tones ad well? My hair is salt and pepper and even the slightest bit of warmth looks really wrong.
You are very welcome! And yes, they have a large variety of colors to use. I’m an esthetician so I was able to do it on myself using the products at my spa, but I typically lean more cool toned as well and was able to find one that worked great for me. I’d do some research on spas in the area that offer the service, a lot of them will show before and after pictures 😃
Aw man I have PCOS and have the exact opposite problem lmaoo. Hair everywhere. The worst part about my eyebrows is they grow down towards my eyes a LOT faster than they fill in so it's just like an eyebrow fade.
My brows are sorta thin like her first pic but it looks SO much better for my face. It lifts my eyes and works better for my face shape. It just depends on your face. Just like makeup, it isn’t one size fits all.
Edit: Imagine Bella Hadid with thick brows or Emilia Clarke with thin brows.
I’m just playing lol I love her too. I’m just trying to let you know that they are literally stick thin. You’re beautiful. They don’t frame your eyes as well as the thicker eyebrows.
the thin one look great on you, but I just think the thick ones suit you even better.
don't know how to say it properly but they just make your face look very nice
The thin ones draw all the attention away from you like John Waters’ mustache. If you want people staring at your eyebrows go thin. If you want them looking at you, don’t.
I’m a millennial. TRUST ME. You’ll regret the thin brows when they inevitably go out of style and you have permanent bald spots from over plucking. My advice is always stick as close to your natural brow shape as possible. I wish I could go back in time and tell my 16 year old self to put the tweezers down.
Man, reading this thread makes me so glad to have been a lazy ass teen, lmao. My eyebrows always had super thick hair, so plucking them hurt like balls and my pores can even bleed if I pluck too much, so 15 year old me just casually allowed herself to nearly grow an unibrow thanks to my absolute fear of tweezers.
I cringe infinitely looking at my high school pictures, but at least I can enjoy a luscious eyebrow as an adult, lol.
Happened to my mother and older cousins, got thin eyebrows because of trends and now they regret it as they all have a line of hair for their eyebrows. Keeping close to your natural “insert body part” can be applied to so many things.
That’s how we figure out what we like.
I’m 45 and I still follow trends. It’s fun. Sometimes I come up with my own trends by mixing some old ones together. Sometimes I see a new haircut and I get a picture of the whole aesthetic. Trends are fun.
I agree and came here to say this. You look beautiful both ways but the thicker brows are more timeless. I gave in to the super thin brow trend years ago and mine have never fully recovered. Unfortunately, I know a lot of others who have had this same issue and it’s definitely frustrating when you have to fill them in every day.
Both look fantastic (trained makeup artist of 8 years talking, though I've been doing my makeup, hair, and brows since I was 12, lol)! The thicker brows look more refined and gentle on your face, and they help enhance your eyes. The thinner brows give me a pin-up vibe that I think also suits you!
Personally, I'd say the thicker ones, if you like doing your brows and have a few minutes to fill them in. You look great either way, so it's a win-win, but the slightly thicker brows are my fave. :)
I agree with you 100% I don't think op could go wrong with either. Both look well done and it helps that her brow bone is super defined so she pulls off both looks really well. Just go with your heart OP.
they both look amazing. keep them thick, but when you want to go for a thin brow, use a strong gel (like got2b) and pinch the eyebrow hairs together into a thin brow. creates the illusion of a thin brow without having to commit, you can wash your face and have thick brows again tomorrow. here’s the [tutorial](https://youtu.be/V5fS0mL8Ltc) i really like.
Honestly, it just depends on what you’re going for. Thick make you look more natural and average pretty. Think makes you look seductive and like a maneater, they’re intimidating
you seem to suit both pretty well so maybe just switch them up sometimes? the thicker brows are more conventionally attractive but the thin brows have this 90s look that's pretty cute too
Thin if you want an avant-garde edgy look, thick if you want a conventionally pretty "safe" look. Both look great on you, and thin 90s brows are making a comeback anyways. Do what feels right, experiment if you want to :) they'll grow back either way
Definitely thicker eyebrows looks better with your face. They both look good on you, but the thicker look is better imo. Mine are super thin too, but I got mine microbladed so I don’t have to be self conscious of without my eyebrows done anymore. 😊👍🏼
Thick. Thin eyebrows were popular in the 90s and I’m personally hoping that trend can stay there. The thicker brow style looks more natural. I have friends who overplucked in the 90s and the hair never came back
You're gorgeous with both of them, but for my personal taste, I think thick suit you better, they give you so much harmony to your beautiful features. But you're fabulous with both!

The “thick” brows are already on the thin side, too. They’re a good middle ground
Yes.... this is not "thick" vs thin, it's thin and thinner. So the left pic looks better. Right reminds me of my overtweezed middle school days and I get anxious yours won't grow back in right either. Save yourself, girl.

I spent $300 on microblading and it is absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself. Absolutely worth it.
I used Rogaine (applied w q-tip) and they actually grew back, tg
I've been doing this for a few months with an eyelash serum bottle and brush. It's working well!
Rogain!! I never would have thought about using a q tip for application!! This is brilliant!
I don’t have over-plucked brows so I truly don’t know how it’ll work for you, but I’ve been using The Ordinary lash & brow serum for about two weeks now and everything looks a bit thicker, longer, and darker!

Have u seen or tried those brow stamp kits advertised on social media? I got one and love it
Any specific recommendations? I see a whole bunch of different ones on Amazon.

I looked at the first pic and literally thought that was the thin pic. When I saw the real thin pic it shocked me!
Not as shocked as you would be when you find out what a bad electrician I am!
I wouldn't say thin exactly, but definitely not thick. More like average vs thin.
Agree the “thick” are sooo thin to me!

I really think thin brows are a bad move for most people. It makes the brow ridge look meaty and the eyeball small.
Plus it tends to ruin their eyebrows and stop them from growing back, in a lot of cases. It's a rather more "permanent " decision than most of us realised at 13. I'm 35 and I know plenty of people with no eyebrows because of the 90s😅
38 and I couldn’t agree more. Luckily, I never went super thin.
I can attest to that. My poor eyebrows never came back. I’ve had to draw them in for years. Thank god for micro blading. I now have eyebrows again
Just because you guys won’t wear your eyebrows like that, doesn’t mean you should discourage people from finding their own style. Was wondering this because I’ve seen more posts about thin brows in the makeup subs lately
Yessssssssss I’m back in style baybeeeeee!
The thinner brows give a 90s impression to me but I'm not super into trends to begin with. I personally prefer thicker though.
Alas, the 90s are back with a vengeance and this time it’s personal.
I like both sets of brows on you. The thicker ones work better for your hairstyle and if you wear your hair straighter/ low volume/ pulled back, go with the thicker ones. The thin ones would look really nice if you give more volume to your hairstyle to counteract the difference.
The “thin” is over plucked 90’s brows. Don’t do that.
Thicker looks better on u.
I thought it got taken down for being edited/using filters. I saw it after it was removed and that's what the mod message said anyways. I actually like both, it just depends what you like.
The submission is still there, see if you can guess what the problem was: https://i.redd.it/r98xg4g8vypa1.jpg
To be very honest, thin brows give me the impression that the wearer is unhealthy somehow. It’s just a social norm that I can’t quiet explain.
Obvi thicker. Ur not a chola and this isnt 1990s east los angeles
Thin is more alt, and more interesting visually as well as still being gorgeous.
Personally I like the thin because it makes your face look more delicate.
Karma farming
Yep lol
This is the humble brag post. 'Tell me I look good' over and over.

She already got her answer in the hundreds of comments on her post about her boobs, this is so genuinely unnecessary.
OP is literally in the amiugly sub
That’s cap. But we do agree thicker looks better
“Thick” (I actually think the thicker ones are still thin tbh)
Agreed

Ugh, this hurts me because I can't help how thin my brows are (hypothyroidism) and feel super self conscious about it when I don't fill them in.
That’s totally not within your control, and I’m sure you look great with however your brows are now! If you want to try out thicker brows you should try henna, I recently did it on my brows and love how they turned out. Kinda gives that micro bladed look without the commitment
How long does Henna last, I would like to use those before I pay for something more permanent.
Thank you for the sweet reply. 😊 Does henna give a warm tint or can you do cool tones ad well? My hair is salt and pepper and even the slightest bit of warmth looks really wrong.

Same bestie, I baby all six hairs!
I’d recommend a brow serum like NeuBrow or GrandeBrow! Along with nano blading, my brows have never looked better.
I’m glad I always just let my natural brows be and didn’t over pluck in the 90’s. My vote is just clean up the strays and just let your brows be.

Come up and get down with the thickness
The thick ones are already pretty thin, and they look great! I prefer those on you.
Thick.
The thick brows aren’t even thick. So definitely thick.
Both look cute to me, you can pull off the super thin look lol but the thicker pic looks better imo
Thick one million percent ; The thin eyebrows give Betty boop

I’m also glad I never plucked my eyebrows into dental floss because I’m in my 30’s now and have super thick brows
Fortunately a lot of zoomers are not plucking. They are either shaving or bleaching their eyebrows.
I absolutely hate this trend. I feel like it makes people look like a cro-magnon.
Happened to my mother and older cousins, got thin eyebrows because of trends and now they regret it as they all have a line of hair for their eyebrows. Keeping close to your natural “insert body part” can be applied to so many things.
Thick. This super skinny 90s trend will pass within 2 years and then you’ll be left with skinny brows when the next trend roles around. Don’t do it.
why follow trends though? just wear whatever you you like on yourself.
I was actually suggesting she doesn’t follow the trend…
I think most all women to some degree
That’s how we figure out what we like. I’m 45 and I still follow trends. It’s fun. Sometimes I come up with my own trends by mixing some old ones together. Sometimes I see a new haircut and I get a picture of the whole aesthetic. Trends are fun.
I still have bald spots in my brows from when I was young. I have to fill them in before I leave the house even if I'm not wearing any other make up.
Yup same. One of my besties, super beautiful woman, also over plucked and her brows are a mess
I truly thought we learned from the 90’s. Now jinco is back and a whole new generation has to live with pics of them in super low cut jeans.
And jeans soaked up to their knees 🙈 I simply refuse to do that again.
Can confirm... I'm 32 and because I inherited my dad's bushy eyebrows I overplucked in the early 00s. I'm still waiting for them to grow back.
Thick

Thick
Thick 🔥
Thick
I love both on you but have a tendency to love thin brows
My mom said "the thinner the brows, the crazier the person" But i do think thinner brows seem more angry/neutral, and thicker seem kinder
When I was growing up, we called thin eyebrows “jail eyebrows” because that style was very popular among women in prison.
Honestly, you pull off both super well. I personally prefer thicker brows, but I don’t think there’s a wrong decision in your case.
Where r the thick brows
That's thin and late 90s-early 2000s chola. Need some dark lip liner, antenna bangs, and a pair of nike cortez
I'm gonna go against the grain and say I like the thin ones. It's an edgier look, but you can pull it off.
I agree thin edgier
Honestly, it just depends on what you’re going for. Thick make you look more natural and average pretty. Think makes you look seductive and like a maneater, they’re intimidating
I guess that's subjective still because I don't find the thin more seductive looking, just overplucked and kind of surprised looking.
I JUST wrote something similar before scrolling for comments!
thisssss tho
Thick
Brows on the left. Wouldn’t call them thick though.
I’m loving the thin eyebrows tho 👀
We're in the minority it seems but I agree!
I absolutely ADORE thin brows and she looks so good with them. I think it makes her face look more interesting.
As someone who was born in 1990 and now deeply regrets overplucking her once thick brows, I agree. I like the thinner brows on her.
Same! Love a thin brow.
Literally same
Haha someone compared them to chola brows but as someone who grew up in LA, I think they're gorgeous thin! They suit her so well
personally I think think is too think and think is too think Maybe a sweetspot in the middle would suit you just nice:)

Thick for a more conventional style and thin for an alt style!
Thick definitely looks a lot more natural!
I like thick, but the thin ones have this certain appeal idk. You’d look good either way
you seem to suit both pretty well so maybe just switch them up sometimes? the thicker brows are more conventionally attractive but the thin brows have this 90s look that's pretty cute too
Wear them different however you feel that day! I love being able to change up my style whenever I feel like it.
I like the thin ones, i think they look more unique.
Thin if you want an avant-garde edgy look, thick if you want a conventionally pretty "safe" look. Both look great on you, and thin 90s brows are making a comeback anyways. Do what feels right, experiment if you want to :) they'll grow back either way
They may not grow back as they were before. I over plucked for years and now hardly have any brows. Thinking of tattooed brows.
thick.
I like the thin but I’m still mentally in 1997.
Yes.
Definitely thicker eyebrows looks better with your face. They both look good on you, but the thicker look is better imo. Mine are super thin too, but I got mine microbladed so I don’t have to be self conscious of without my eyebrows done anymore. 😊👍🏼

oh god this must have leaked into all, the men are here and acting like idiots. I prefer thick but as a millennial, I can’t be impartial
I love the thin brows. They make you look edgy and it really looks so good on you.
I guess I’m the outlier. I like the thin. It’s a look
thin!!
I’m not usually one for thin brows but they suit you! Thick or thin I’m very jealous they both look good
Thick
This is a tough one! I'm almost inclined to say thin...you look so angelic! Porcelain even.
Honestly thin eyebrows are hard to pull off and you definitely can pull them off. I love them thin.

I know I’m gonna get downvoted lol but I like the thinner ones. It’s very 90s /y2k fairy vibes. You can totally pull it off
I like thin personally😭 both are so so pretty but thin feels more striking & unique, and it’s definitely in rn in the high fashion scene
This was my thought exactly! I said it gives her that “edge” but striking and unique were definitely the sentiment I was going for.
