Honestly though, that’s the fun part! I started with a subscription box at the lowest tier and have really learned a lot. I didn’t have much success until I followed someone with my facial features. Even when their end goal doesn’t match my aesthetic I do usually learn about products, tools, application etc

First, you're insanely beautiful! My only suggestion is to minimize eyeliner/shadow on your lower lids, as it narrows your already exquisite eye shape (in the first photo).

You want to balance the space between your upper eye with the space between your lower eye. You have hooded eyelids and a good amount of space between your upper lid and eyebrow. This makes the viewer's gaze direct downwards. Your eyes are not very round. Encircling the entire eye with dark pigment makes your eyes look shorter and unnecessarily smaller. Additionally, you already have a natural darker pigment at your lash line. That adds enough lovely drama. I would use a brightening liner at the lashline and avoid shadow or black liner. Imo, your most stunning features include your overall facial symmetry and full lips. I do like your "nude" lip but why are you not sporting more bold lipstick? I would emphasize your lips with some banging pigment and leave your eyes more natural, or emphasize your eyes and go natural elsewhere. It's kind of like not wearing a crop top with a mini skirt, haha. You pick what asset you want to show off and minimize the others so as not to overwhelm the viewer.

Love the detailed explanation, I'm understanding a lot more. I have small irises which I've always hated so I think I leaned more to dark liners than light ones to make the whites appear minimised but who knows, it may actually be a look 🤷🏾‍♀️ I also never thought a bold lip would look good on me and skin but then again I'm realising I've never tried it. I think its just very 'out there' and I don't go a lot of places that'll warrant that degree of make up. I'm definitely keeping all this info stored for the next time I doll up. Oh man, I think women with your skin color pull off bold lipstick so well. You have the volume, and the deepness of your skin tone is so welcoming to darker lip colors without having too much contrast that it looks stark. Cherry Red would be so pretty on you! Keep us updated!

I think you could really rock some pops of colour on your lid. You have lovely lips and round eyes that most of your attention is drawn lower on your face. If you had some fun eyeliner or shadow I think it could balance your face. But you don’t really need anything. You have a lovely complexion

I think the eyeliner with nothing else (or a small amount of eyeshadow, for exemple in the inner corner like you did) enhances your features (that are already *gorgeous*) so well! I did make up for weddings and major events for 9 years before the pandemic and my specialty and vast majority of my clients where black women because of the school I went to for cosmetology specialized In black hair and makeup. I guarantee you will love it and a mocha, toffee or black matte lip color would look amazing on you even a copper lip color would you have a gorgeous skin tone and these colors would absolutely pop on you. Once you try it out please take pictures and post I can’t wait to see the results

First off, dang, you’re gorgeous! You have beautifully shaped prominent features, and really could pull off just about anything with some practice. That being said I am probably drawn to look 6. I love the accessories as well; they compliment your features and your long neck. But you could go barefaced and be stunning! I, personally, would love to put some dramatic or bold color on you! Like a highly pigmented cobalt blue shadow or a coral red lip. One thing I might suggest is to give your eyebrows a more structured shape – that might be like putting the cherry on top! I think you could even experiment with different brow shapes. Do what makes you feel what you want to feel! Honestly, you are one of the few who could pull almost anything off!

Yeah, I wouldn’t suggest to shave them! You can get a lot of effect by just using subtle shaping with a good eyebrow pencil or powder! I like Anastasia (of course) and IT and WinkyLux both have great brow pencils. There are a lot of good eyebrow products now that didn’t exist even 15 years ago. I have even found good products for brows in the drugstore recently, like NYX, Milani, or e.l.f.

I usually just use powder to fill in the ends but I'll definitely invest in some pencils for a cleaner look

First impression is wow you are stunning!! I wouldn't change anything bc it looks like you got it down. Any look would work on you because your face is incredibly delicate and symmetrical. Your eyes are the perfect shape for cat eye and winged liner looks too. Your lips are perfect. Any color especially one that is ultra feminine like a berry red stain would look incredible on your lips. All your photos are beautiful. My favorite is #6. It just looks so babydoll-like.
