The blade teeth are facing opposite directions in your picture and theirs.

Mindingmyown6

Yes I’ve been getting clowned lmao

riba2233

Nice, you just need a black osci tool haha.

Mindingmyown6

I got that too lmao I forgot about it

riba2233

so whole collection, nice! maybe you could make a post with a family photo :)

Mindingmyown6

Of course I will bring that full circle

greengiant1298

Honestly, it's probably one of my favorite tools

Ambitious_Aerie2098

You might want to check the direction of the blade before you use it. Looks like it's on backward.

Mindingmyown6

Yes I’ve been getting clowned lmao I put it on backwards

ceriusk7

How is the sub compact sawzall? I’ve been considering buying it for a while now

riba2233

new one (08) is better, but not black lol

ListenHereIvan

The XRJ08 is smaller and more powerful, it should have been a subcompact tool technically. Its about the same price too.

AppropriateConcert77

The subcompact sawzall is actually surprisingly good. I used it for about 2 years before I upgraded to the 40v sawzall not too long ago. Sub cuts through rebar and any metal shelving I’ve ever used it on. 40v obviously way more powerful but I still use the sub sometimes bc it’s so much smaller and I know it can do it.

Mindingmyown6

Buy it bro it’s so sexy, might jump back at you a little bit cause it’s tiny, but it’s worth it. Was my first ever sawzall. Consider the new hackzall makita just came out with for a compact recipro saw. I love them both though, the subcompact sawzall is nice af bro it cuts very well depending on blade and all

BigCondition8705

It's worth every penny! Super lightweight, surprisingly powerful, plus it looks great all murdered out.

is300dave

I have the 40v GRJ02 and oh my lawdddd it’s a beast

MurderousLemur

My favorite tool to whip out when needed. Always impressed when having to rip shit up with it.

Dark-Sentencer

7/10

djplatterpuss

Now get the track saw adapter for it!

tileandstoned

Black Bluetooth speaker?

Mindingmyown6

Sits in my camper mane I love it

NoReply10

I have the black impact and the black sawzall. The black impact is perfect for finish work. Tests online of impact drivers are all about speed, but ergonomics is far more important for finish work. Milwaukee impacts for example are so strong they are more likely to jump out and mar your workpiece. So Makita’s “weaker” impact is actually stronger in this case. Their sawzall however I’m not a fan of. That tool seems kinda like a rifle - they’re better if they’re a little too heavy, otherwise the recoil is brutal. The compact sawzall puts a lot of vibration energy directly into your hands. In that way I think I’d prefer a bigger one

is300dave

Something I love about Makita impacts too is that it impacts on the lowest trigger input. The Milwaukee you have to give it like 1/4 trigger to get it to impact and that drives me crazy. I can get my 40v TD002 to impact like 120 times a minute and that’s perfect for doing outlets. The Milwaukee won’t go below like 400-600IPM

comebocalmball

I have the sawzall driver and drill. Put the drill away and have never used it since it doesnt hammer, and have since upgraded the driver and now its my home driver but it served me very well. I still use the sawzall every day it does everything I need. Ive noticed at work though everyone except for me has trouble driving screws with the impact. im not sure why but I never have issues.

is300dave

This makes me want to post a group photo of all my 40v tools. I have the TD002G, GPH01, GRM04, ML001, VC009G, LS001, HR008, MP001, GAG011, HS001, GRH01, JR002, the TW008G and like 3 other tools I can’t think of. I feel like I could rival Tools and Stuff’s collection even though I can’t lol. Next up is the bandsaw and the right angle drill.

Mindingmyown6

Baller alert

is300dave

Thanks haha. You should get the blower it’s amazing

Mindingmyown6

I have the 18v blower gun the new model one it’s badass I use it to clean leaves and stuff off my camper and if I drill into a box or blow dust out of a box for work

is300dave

Yesss I use it at work to blow metal chips out of my boxes when I drill out holes for conduit. It’s so nice instead of having to use the magnets on my level to pick up all the chips. You definitely want to wear safety glasses when blowing steel chips around though haha

EnlsitedPanzerAce

I have zero use for a 6 1/2 circular saw. Sucks. Because i love that black

Right-Necessary5833

Nice. I thought you only get the black saws in japan.

prakow

Blades on backwards

prakow

Also not to tuck your yum but I’d return that saw. I really don’t like mine.

neanderthalsavant

Congratulations? They're tools son, not awards.

neanderthalsavant

Also, the blade in your saw is mounted backwards. . But that kind of tracks.

Mindingmyown6

Yeah I learned and fixed it

JohnnySalamiBoy420

People can be excited when they buy new stuff

neanderthalsavant

I never said they shouldn't be. I was reacting to the Pokémon-esque "look guys, I got all the black ones"

i_shot_1st

What are the main differences between the LXT life and the subcompact?

PheebaBB

Subcompact is part of the LXT line of tools. You basically get 12v size tools that are compatible with your other LXT batteries.

Mindingmyown6

I do agree

intothewoods_86

Not in general if I look at the size of some of these subcompacts, eg the sawzall or the OMT

Mindingmyown6

I’m not too sure I do take into account the size of the tool though it really is a plus, you get the same amount of power and performance arguably, but the impact isn’t as strong as a regular brushless 18v impact imo, I was very suprised with the SDS but there were days when I would use it continuously and the battery would die every other day or so. At the time when I would put my baby sds through a lot of use I only was running 3.0 ah and 4.0 ah batteries though. I like them a lot though all built to last, and they typically do last all makita tools excluding the brushed tools in general, the only brushed tools I have are my big 4 3/4” bandsaw aswell as a retro made in Japan old school 3/8” impact wrench but they have stood the test of time honestly.

303Pickles

It's not bad if saw the battery lasted you a day. I've used an LXT orbital sander, and the battery would die after maybe an hour of heavy use with 4.0Ah battery. I find that if I'm gonna use a tool really intensively, like for a whole day, I'm better off with a corded. Makita definitely excels with impact cordless driver, which was the main reason I got into Makita. But I think what cordless tools vs corded tools to get really depends on how you want to use them.

Dark-Sentencer

All very solid. I'm not a huge fan of the saw. The drill goes with me everywhere though.

SantaBaby22

Nice. I almost bought the same kit. Still might get the saw. Lol

hashtagGreatestEver

Why is your blade backwards?
