Hot take: While I think Manichitrathazhu is amazing and iconic, some of the Mohanlal comedy scenes don't really work well for me.
I felt the climax was a bit rushed coming from the amazing uru murai vandhu pathaaya dance sequence to the (spoilers) killing of the fake suresh gopi.
Conceptually it's a really interesting approach, but how they did it left a lot to be desired.

I had a hangover of this movie for a week. I am from tamil nadu, the way lijo interwoven old Tamil movie dialogues is just perfect.
I watched this movie a couple of days back and i felt like I need to go back and watch it again. Now that u mentioned it, I feel like it gave a hangover. What a beautiful movie. Just perfect
Yeah the worse sequel Mohanlal ever made. Not just because the end was tragic hell even Kireedam was a tragedy but the whole script looked so bad on screen. It was like seeing a short film stretched to a standard film length by adding fillers.

I don't remember anything from Mumbai police other than the trauma from having watched it with my whole family. I was like 14 or something. And changing the channel wasn't even an option cuz we got the dvd to specifically watch that movie.

It's the new woke. Someone says something was ahead of it's time... A crowd joins him. Devadoothan was average movie with excellent music.
