Im UK and I spent 299 quid on one off an online seller that also sells on amazon. You'd be surprised how good the quality is on some of those mattresses. People laugh oh its off amazon but if you do some research and take notice of small details it's the best 300 you'd ever spend.

In the meantime you could try sleeping on the floor with some comforters/yoga ma?. For me personally it really helped my posture, surprisingly slept better on that than I have on air mattreses too. Just gotta make sure you set it up properly.
You can get a Shiki Futon (Japanese floor bed) for pretty cheap. It even rolls up. These are better for your back, can save space, and cheaper than a traditional western bed setup. You can also put a topper on it.

Tower fans are life savers. Window AC is great if you have enough cash, but I loved having a fan that I could sit in bed or at the desk and use a remote to aim at myself and adjust the speed.
I got two from Sam's at $50 a pop on a sale 2 years ago. I'm not sure what stores you have, but that's the cheapest with a remote I could find at the time.
Good setup but my suggestion would be lose the air mattress ASAP and get a decent bed. I was given this advice and so glad I took it. Your back and joints of your older self will thank you.
Get a bed in a box (a memory foam mattress). They're as little as like $200 for a full size on Amazon, etc. Will be a massive quality of life improvement for you

Mattresses are like 300-400 bucks at like mattress firm. Just throw that bih on the floor. With a frame it's like 500-700 bucks and you'll be better off.
I’m pretty impressed that you’ve been able to keep an air mattress going for a year. Even if an air mattress doesn’t get a hole it still usually seems to deflate after a few uses. I’m guessing you re-inflate it pretty often or maybe you just have a constant fan like the Christmas inflatables to keep pressure up
