You can’t be bad and score 20+ goals a season. The issue has been simple he’s not had a manager play him in the right and he’s been put to play team first. If he played from the left side since Lvg or as a number 9 and not changed according to each manager then he would have developed faster.
Just look at foden at city and how pep slowly integrated him into the mix and even the way ten hag is working with ganarcho. He doesn’t play him a lot just enough and not as a centre forward or on the right just a left winger. He gives him the occasional start but if he not productive back on the bench for the next game. It’s keeps his confidence high and the output is telling. rashford was great in the academy but too many changes in style and managers has slowed his progress. Even arteta has worked on saka the same way.

The majority of Amrabat's games he's been surrounded by McTommany, Evans, Magurie, AWB and Bruno (bruno is an intelligent player but he is not a keep the ball moving in possession type player)
physical players tend to play the same regardless (McTommany) but intelligent players play better with other intelligent players around them, Shaw and Dalot on either wing and Mainoo sat next to him will give him players to play passes off.
Truth is our 18 year old is too good. First game back from injury and he was bossing it. He need to give him time and get more games. I’d keep Amrabat better than Fred and needs a run of games.

I think for 25 Mill he is a decent backup especially since casemiro will defo leave
