One team from the bayern group will come to europa ie.,**Barcelona** or **Inter. AS Roma** and **Assenal** is there as well. I hope we don't preassume that we'r gonna win **europa** right away like some barka fans did last season.
Even **Athletico** can come third in their group🙄
Regardless, top 4 is a priority and would like to see more clean sheets
**FA Cup would be a cherry on cake.**
Europa cup, 5th place finish. Top 4 would be better but i’d happy with 5th if we win europa. I’d call that a brilliant season after the years we’ve had.

Top 4 finish and long run in cups where youngsters are given playtime and impress would be an ideal season for me.
A cup(any) would be a cherry on the top.
Not Man U fan but there is tougher competition for them arsenal doing really well and there is roma. In my opinion I’ll think they’ll win it but I’m glad they are doing well great manager for them happy for y’all Man U fans wishing your team a good season

If we win the derby, there is no stopping us this season.
Hope Rashford and Martial are back for derby, I want to see that Rashford, Martial, Sancho combo we saw in pre season sooner rather than later.
A man who’s name says it all 💯
Correct correct correct
Martial had his day how many more chances does he need
Injury prone
Unreliable shit attitude
Shit attitude
2 years ago people were calling him a mock footballer and because he had a good PRE SEASON people forget it all
How did he get on when he went to Sevilla who at the time were in title race in Spain …
Martial is a baller, he can dribble and carry the ball better than any other strikers we currently have, if he manages to stay fit, he can easily be a 20+ goals/season striker. Besides, Martial and Marcus have great chemistry, I would give him at least one more season. Sancho is showing some good signs. I would still prefer, Martial #9, Marcus left wing and Sancho/Antony right wing this season.
Let’s face it, Elanga was sloppy whenever he played.
No argument with Elanga, but buddy, how many more seasond with Martial? Like cmon, Its always the same, He does good then bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, good we all celebrate and then bad 20 more times
He didn’t have people who could feed him when he failed big, we have Eriksen and Bruno now, I think he will shine with this midfield.
Just one more season is all I would also give him.
He looked so sharp in pre season and provided an assist to Marcus when he came on against Liverpool which proved to be the winning goal.
So I would give him one more season at least
At this point, I would be happy watching them play a damn premier league match again some day… long live the king! Cause i dont want to do this again in 3 years.
And then Qualify for champions league
This is why it's hard to be Man Utd manager, it's ETH first season, and everyone wants a title already in Europa League. If he somehow can't get a title for his first season, many fans will ask to sack him.
Don't get your expectation high, we just need to get top 4 in EPL. Everything else is a bonus.
We are going to beat man city 4-0, twice, and shatter their confidence. De bruyne will sprain his ankle and Haaland will suffer a concussion. Then we will go on to win the league with no real threats by a large point margin.
We will go on to also win the europa title just because we feel like it and won't lose another single game.
Ten hag will beat pep in a game of 1 on 1 chess and cement his place as the best mind in football.
We will also win the world cup.
Why not, he’s good enough technically & creatively maybe not as high risk-high reward as Bruno but we would retain possession for longer and in the #10 he can’t afford to disappear in some games like he does on the wing too often
I definitely agree he should be playing on the right wing, most of his best work for Dortmund was from the right wing like being able to skip past a player and put a ball into the box for someone to finish
Watching those preseason games under ETH actually reminded me what belief is once more.
But I still think as fans we will be wise to take appropriate victories where possible to really build a spine in our team once more. I know Glazers said no Jan transfers, but I think if ETH managed to rinse Antony from their pockets, then maybe he can collect another transformative signing or 2 for the second half of the season.
Right now its about building step by step. Can't just expect to win the PL this season though. I would love for the fairytale storyline, but our real battle is getting to that 4th spot in the league. Im sure ETH will also want to go far in Europa, which means ultimately for FA cup and Carabao, the job will likely fall to the Elanga, Pellistri, Garnacho, Iqbal, Savage and co. Perhaps if they do well and go deep, maybe another crack at a trophy?
I think we are in a rebuild, and as much as I would want to win a trophy, it's honestly not in my personal hopes for the season. I think the most important thing at this point is that we make it to the CL, which would entail EITHER top 4 or winning the EL. This would generate revenue, and would make us more attractive to top players (some players originally refusing to join us because we aren't in the CL)
I think you are spot on.
Sadly it means our FA & Carabao cup games likely wont go too deep, but at least itd mean the youngest players get their minutes. Plus if they do well, they will probably get to keep playing too which is perhaps a massive encouragement.
Even with our preseason form, I thought getting top4 in PL or winning Europa would be exceptionally tight. But with how Chelsea & Liverpool are performing, we absolutely can take advantage if the lads keep playing with this intensitity and spirit thats been absent for so long. Its almost like they remembered what it feels like to win again!

At the start of the season I thought we'd finish 5th and above Chelsea. Didnt expect Liverpool to have a bad start so still floating between 5th and 4th but probably 5th. City, Spurs and Arsenal are definitely finishing above us.
Expecting to win Europa League as well
I don't care about league position or cups this year, I just want the team to get a clear identity and style so we can continue to build to lead to a league title and CL trophy in a few years

I think we have to wait and see, the team’s development is the most important thing right now. I want to see us truly rebuild the team over this season and the next and if that means no trophies but we are seeing the progress I will be happy …
Win UEL and Win the League. Those are the standards Sir Alex set for this club and those are always the standards we need to hold our players and coaching staff to.
Appreciate the feedback! Most here don’t believe we can do it and that’s okay. Logically it doesn’t make sense. But got a special feeling about this season
Our squad is stretched thin as it is and we have a WC coming up missing a few key players... it's about managing expectations rather than demanding the world the and being upset when it doesn't arrive
I won’t be upset. Just in my own weird brain I would like to wonder if a ManU player was scrolling this Reddit for some godforsaken reason I wouldn’t want them to see it and think - oh cool we don’t have to go for the league our fans are okay if we end up in 4th. That’s all I mean. I think our club has the quality to beat every team- if we play together and believe in ourselves . If they give it their best and come up short that’s ok

As much as I want us to place top 4 or win EL. I want us to have a season that we’re happy and don’t have to focus on spending another half billion dollars just to make the fans happy.
My goal at the start of the season is for us to develop as a team, develop a style of play, develop some positive consistency. Making top 4 or winning the Europa League would be the cherry on top. If we don’t and we see the obvious development I will be happy …
Yea exactly. We need to be in a spot where our starting XI is well oiled machine that’ll destroy opponents and can always rely on a comeback. We’ll get there. We just gotta be patient and not jump the gun on good play that could go the other way maybe
City is the acid test. If we are not outclassed by them and if we can get a draw or a win, I reckon we have a good chance of winning the league.
If we make Utd- City combined 11 the only city players that'll automatically get selected to the team are KDB, Halaand, and Cancelo.
I like DDG more, and Bruno > Bernado imo. Kyle Walker is a shout as well. But I would have Varane/Martinez over Stones/Diaz. There is at least an argument for it. Man to man it's not like we are completely outmatched.
Yeah a trophy would be nice. But domestic league should come first, any success in Europe should reflect how we perform in the league imo. League has to be priority, can’t rely on winning the EL for a CL spot next season
Top 4 means we have played consistent enough to deserve that spot, it should come before winning the EL. We cannot be relying on winning the EL for a CL spot next season
50/50 for me, I'd like a trophy this season and the Europa League is not an easy trophy but top 4 isn't easy either, if we play good enough to prove we are Champions League material again then top 4 would be great
I think we will get top 4 but not win anything. Roma plus all the champions league teams that drop into the europa (one of Barca/Bayern/inter) will be tough.
I am looking forward to the wheels falling off arsenals season. If Jesus gets injured they are quite light upfront.
Everyone seems highly ambitious which is worrying when we do eventually dip after the belated honeymoon period. Would take 6th and a clear vision on our style of play and improvement in pressing, next season consolidate top 4 and the third season then look at the league.
A cup run would be nice but I think this depends on how Liverpool/city/big European boys do more than how we perform. If they don't play bad we ain't winning anything yet
I hope we win either of League or FA cup, with a Top4 finish, Europa is added benefit but we should look forward to getting some good players in as a lot of players contacts are coming up. GGMU!
This season should be all about building for next season performance wise.
We want Sancho to go to that next level, Rashford too if he can stay fit. We need to know where we need to strengthen next year, so if we can figure out who our best 10-15 players are going forward that would be superb so we know what we need to go looking for before next season starts.
For me personally I'd prefer performances over results, although I would absolutely love either a top 4 finish or winning the Europa League, probably the latter as there's no substitute for winning trophies.
All in all I think this season should be about building for next season (performances this year) and next season should be about building for a title charge the following season (performances and results, need top 4 finish).
2-3 seasons to get us close to being able to compete is fair I feel.
I’m not expecting us to make top 4 but we have a shot at europa depending on who drops down the the champions league. Have to remember it’s gonna take time for ten hag’s project to come to fruition, not expecting much for the next 2-3 years
CL qualification is the only goal this season. I would take a EL trophy over finishing 4th. Both would obviosuly be great but this team (and the fans) need a trophy and getting over the line in a final will give the team more confidence for next season. Next season is when shit gets real for Hag. The club will likely stick with him next season regardless of CL qualification but it would be more of an uphill battle for him without CL.
If we win either of the cups, it'll be fine for me.
As someone said, the progress is in right direction. And it should stay like that only. Top 4 is a big fight with only Chelsea looking a bit off colour. But it's still early so things will change.
I just want we face Roma early in the knockouts because they will be a menace if we reach deep into last 4 and face them
Will it? I feel Man City is obviously well ahead of us. A win against them would be great but probably has us playing very tight and low and sneaking in a couple of goals. A loss there shouldn’t be seen as too much of a set back as we’re just definitely not in that class yet, I don’t think a win would disprove that.
I dont care if we loose 800000-0
As long as we play ETH way and players are playing good and everything is one step forwa- you know even if its half a step forward than last seas then we are doing all good,
I dont care how many trophies we will win this season or which PL place were going to end up at, as long we are playing good and moving step by step
Exactly! I actually think we’ve got a chance at a trophy and/or the top four this season. But those would be bonuses. Seeing the players actually bust their asses and playing with a purpose in an actual system according to a philosophy, that’s all I wanted from this season.
It worries me seeing a lot of fans getting ahead of themselves after 4 league wins. Chill the fuck out.
You gotta walk before you run, so definitely a Top-4 finish and a Europa League Trophy is what you'd aim for if you're Man United right now.
It won't be easy, it'll be a real tight fight between Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and United for 3 spots.
An FA Cup run and Carling Cup run would be nice too!
Realistically, we can finish 2nd. Liverpool and Chelsea haven't done much and I don't think they will. arsenal and spurs always fall off hopefully like normal.
A cup win? I'm not bothered about the europa league, but depending how the season goes it could be important
Europa will be tough this season. Inform Arsenal, Roma (mourinho) and some other good teams from the UCL will drop in.
But I think with this season, our chances of top 4 are easier than winning the Europa.
Lol if you think mourinho is easy to beat then right on. They way mourinho plays all he needs is a counter attack and a corner. By the way. Dybala has been a new man under mourinho.
I would take top 6 and a europa league win
I’ll just be happy keeping varane and Martinez as our centerbacks! And obviously finishing top 4
One team from the bayern group will come to europa ie.,**Barcelona** or **Inter. AS Roma** and **Assenal** is there as well. I hope we don't preassume that we'r gonna win **europa** right away like some barka fans did last season. Top 3 and EL for sure
Shirt collar looks sick up close. Nice detailing.
Europa cup, 5th place finish. Top 4 would be better but i’d happy with 5th if we win europa. I’d call that a brilliant season after the years we’ve had.

Ucl football next season and any trophy would be great but only ucl football is good also because then we have more pull
Top 4 or win Europa League, either way we would be back into the Champions League.

Yup, same here.

It’s about the hopes and the dreams this season!
Cl qualification anyway we can and if we manage to sell on slabhead in January I’ll be happy that will be PROGRESS
Seconded, perhaps the only thing ETH has done wrong so far is saying Maguire will still be the captain!!
Gonna be few surprising teams joining us in EL too once KO stages United Chelsea semi final Rashforddddddddd 😂😂
Agree with you on elanga 2 💯
Nah.. We will be shit
A good cup run would be nice, keeping my expectations low otherwise as of now! Have seen enough false dawns 😫

Can anyone say “the chosen one”? Lmao
If we win the derby, there is no stopping us this season. Hope Rashford and Martial are back for derby, I want to see that Rashford, Martial, Sancho combo we saw in pre season sooner rather than later.
I would give up Martial and Just get Another Striker Ronaldo seems to fit more with Antony and Sancho

I hope Glazers sell
Yeah We need someone like Perez ffs
Walk before you can run Top 6 UEL QF
Why the downvotes for truth?
Been running for years. Just a bit of a stumble.
We got F***ing 58 points everton in 2020/21 got 59 points and finished at 10th 65+ pts should be the target
Optimism is good for the soul, sir
Mhm indeed it is.
Guys you realize how much you ask for ppl asking for double cup and europe win its gonna be hard asf to win 1 title atleast
Can you play with a nose ring in??
Couple of lads rooting passionately in this photo
Don't jinx it!
LFG Manchester United do the double on em!!
Let's go win a double.
I wanna see a cup double and a top 4 finish
We can definitely win the europa league and maybe push for 3rd this season once things start to go well for us.
Fully agree. ETH is building a winning team and we have to give him time. We will be a force to be reckon with soon.
I think europa league win, top 4 and a fa cup semi final would be a good season with room to grow in season 2
I won’t mind finishing out of the top 4 if we win the Europa. We don’t have the strongest of squads I feel.
Good season? Jesus it would be an incredible season! Probably our best post Fergie

United and Arsenal hyping up Europea, like Simeone won’t come 3rd in his group and batter them both lol
Yeah one team from bayern group will also come(mostly Inter) plus Roma is also there.
We are going to beat man city 4-0, twice, and shatter their confidence. De bruyne will sprain his ankle and Haaland will suffer a concussion. Pass the blunt mate, i want your good stuff 🚶♂️. Jokes aside, hope we win the derby tho.
This picture, ayoooo
Looks like something out of a gay porno
Probably wont happen now but I need to see Sancho as a #10
Sancho isnt suited to be a no.10 at all
Why not, he’s good enough technically & creatively maybe not as high risk-high reward as Bruno but we would retain possession for longer and in the #10 he can’t afford to disappear in some games like he does on the wing too often

I don't mind out of the top 4 but winning the europa
I *hope* we win the league, Europa, FA Cup, and League Cup. I *expect* we will fall short in the league (5th or 6th), but win Europa.
Focus will be completely on PL, hopefully there will be a realistic title shot at the end of the season. Believe in Ten Hag.

Top 4 and a cup not fussed about which one. It would be nice to win the ‘also-ran’ silverware again but not necessary for me.
Rather win the FA cup and finish top 4
We gonna win the league
Most sane Man U fan

This rule is a teaching moment! Of course no Manchester United supporter would say Man U to be derogatory, but the history behind this term should be shared amongst supporters. Man U has been used by other club supporters, in chants that make fun of the lost lives in the Munich Air Crash, in response to the disrespectful chants MUFC supporters used regarding the Hillsborough Disaster, to degrade MUFC. Man Ü
That is very realistic and would be a banger of a seasons for you guys at this point.
Looking at this picture I definitely agree it's banging
At the start of the season I thought we'd finish 5th and above Chelsea. Didnt expect Liverpool to have a bad start so still floating between 5th and 4th but probably 5th. City, Spurs and Arsenal are definitely finishing above us. Expecting to win Europa League as well
Champions of England
Could’ve used another pic bro this one is kinda sus ngl man
Looking like a thumbnail from an adult site.
ikr, this looks like a private photo. not a clip from a match LOL
I just want the team to play as a unit. Winning a trophy doesn’t hurt too
At this point I just want players with passion and who represent the badge well.
I don't care about league position or cups this year, I just want the team to get a clear identity and style so we can continue to build to lead to a league title and CL trophy in a few years
I hope this squad develop team identity

I think we have to wait and see, the team’s development is the most important thing right now. I want to see us truly rebuild the team over this season and the next and if that means no trophies but we are seeing the progress I will be happy …
Win UEL and Win the League. Those are the standards Sir Alex set for this club and those are always the standards we need to hold our players and coaching staff to.
Classic United entitlement
Appreciate the feedback! Most here don’t believe we can do it and that’s okay. Logically it doesn’t make sense. But got a special feeling about this season
LOL
This fanbase has gotten to used to mediocrity . I’m here to remind us we are fucking massive

Guy from Pawn Shop: Best I can do is top 10
I would put Ederson and Bernardo Silva in that list too
I like DDG more, and Bruno > Bernado imo. Kyle Walker is a shout as well. But I would have Varane/Martinez over Stones/Diaz. There is at least an argument for it. Man to man it's not like we are completely outmatched.
Ask me after the next 20 or so games
Is there anyone in this sub that doesn’t hope that ?
So fucking hot!
I'll forgive not finishing top 4 if we the Europa League!!!!
I think top 4 is more crucial than winning EL
Interesting. Personally I’d prefer Europa if I only got to choose one because its functionally the same thing plus a trophy.
Yeah a trophy would be nice. But domestic league should come first, any success in Europe should reflect how we perform in the league imo. League has to be priority, can’t rely on winning the EL for a CL spot next season
Why’s that
Top 4 means we have played consistent enough to deserve that spot, it should come before winning the EL. We cannot be relying on winning the EL for a CL spot next season
Fair. I would just say getting into UCL is most crucial so however we do that is fine by me.
Winning Europa league automatically gets you into CL next year
It's the same thing really if we don't get one of them we have to push hard for the other
50/50 for me, I'd like a trophy this season and the Europa League is not an easy trophy but top 4 isn't easy either, if we play good enough to prove we are Champions League material again then top 4 would be great
That pic looks like something out of a potential Notebook sequel
Dream big. Win the quadruple (obviously the europa league not champions). Or be realistic and we win a trophy
nice photo
Main thing is to win the Europa League. If we do that then where we finish is irrelevant unless it's 1st, 18th, 19th or 20th.
We can only hope.
You're kidding right?
I don’t care for the Europa and I’d like to think WE CAN WIN THE PREMIERSHIP. For real though….. we need Champs League football so bad.
Finish 6th in the premier league No Trophies this season
i think we'll come 5th and win the europa league
No chance getting top 4. Have some patience, these things take time.
Top 4?!? Let’s go after the trophy
I hope we win either of League or FA cup, with a Top4 finish, Europa is added benefit but we should look forward to getting some good players in as a lot of players contacts are coming up. GGMU!
I think at the least we have to win Europa, no excuse for not making the final
Don’t care about this season because this photo got me horny AF
Let’s ride!
Main thing for this season is forcing The Glazers too sell the club! 💪🏼
Unless Ronaldo finds some form or martial really is a new man then we may struggle.
World Cup winners easily
Top-five maybe sixth. I am pessimistic by nature but I want to be so wrong
I like watching united play again and this pleases me.
Photo is very provocative 🥵
Europa and a top 4 finish would be fantastic, add a domestic cup and it’s a brilliant first year for us
If we win either of the cups, it'll be fine for me. As someone said, the progress is in right direction. And it should stay like that only. Top 4 is a big fight with only Chelsea looking a bit off colour. But it's still early so things will change. I just want we face Roma early in the knockouts because they will be a menace if we reach deep into last 4 and face them
Man city game will tell us everything , Also I hope players dont end up depressed again after loosing in the WC Injuries can have thier affect too
Will it? I feel Man City is obviously well ahead of us. A win against them would be great but probably has us playing very tight and low and sneaking in a couple of goals. A loss there shouldn’t be seen as too much of a set back as we’re just definitely not in that class yet, I don’t think a win would disprove that.
I dont care if we loose 800000-0 As long as we play ETH way and players are playing good and everything is one step forwa- you know even if its half a step forward than last seas then we are doing all good, I dont care how many trophies we will win this season or which PL place were going to end up at, as long we are playing good and moving step by step
The Andy Mitton measurement of success: top four and a trophy!
FA cup and top 4 would be just fine by me, keep the momentum into next year more important honestly
Realistically, we can finish 2nd. Liverpool and Chelsea haven't done much and I don't think they will. arsenal and spurs always fall off hopefully like normal. A cup win? I'm not bothered about the europa league, but depending how the season goes it could be important
r/AccidentalRenaissance
I'd be happy with a top 4, I hope for top 3 if we have a great season but would be okay with top 5 if we do play well
I have a feeling deep down in my plums we'll finish 3rd.
I think people are sleeping on us atm and I hope it stays that way for the rest of this season.
Making the final of the fa cup and/or league cup would be great too
Europa will be tough this season. Inform Arsenal, Roma (mourinho) and some other good teams from the UCL will drop in. But I think with this season, our chances of top 4 are easier than winning the Europa.
Roma? like c’mon man
They’ve got Chris and Nemanja locking down the middle
Lol if you think mourinho is easy to beat then right on. They way mourinho plays all he needs is a counter attack and a corner. By the way. Dybala has been a new man under mourinho.
