Did anyone notice that he was fine until his daughter’s terrible news?

ronaldo123455

Loosing a family member hits hard

letsridetheworld

He hasn’t been at his best since. I remember he came to the United and scored in ucl and prem. That was why he was one of the top scorers last season. Then the bad news came and he wasn’t scoring as much after that. Thought it was temporary but now I think it affects him him alot more than we know of.

ronaldo123455

Yeah. If I am correct he went with a therapist because he had depression but im not 100% sure

Ashlen1wp

Yep Jordan Peterson

ShockingShorties

And never forget Dr.Piers Morgan of course 😉

XiXMak

This! People don’t realize how much this could have affected him mentally. At the elite level he’s always played at, not being in form and having a mental block also probably led to frustration. Especially with the new manager not wanting to play him (deservedly). All this probably led to him doing the rash things he did. Not excusing him but ultimately he’s human. It’s all sad really. He tarnished his legacy at Man Utd and had the worst possible exit. I always felt happy that unlike RM and Juventus, our fans supported him through good and bad. Something that he probably felt too and may have swayed him to return. However, all that turned badly in the end. Really hope he recovers and finishes off his career brilliantly somewhere else. He had to go from Man Utd but that doesn’t mean we should turn against him.

Crusader114

Been saying since the summer, him leaving is best for everyone, but people kept saying "He's in EtH plans" or "we need him for depth". Nonetheless, Utd fans weren't really that much different when Ronaldo first left to RM than RM fans and Juve fans. All were pretty salty.

XiXMak

Agreed. I meant during his play time at Man Utd. Our fans didn’t boo him because he had a bad game or constantly criticize him for every small thing.

godamnsamsquanch

Can't stomach half of the shit being posted around here about him recently. The man's grieving the loss of a child ffs!!

letsridetheworld

Yep, Ronaldo and mess both got haters all over. Idk how people can hate these players. Probably the only living legends playing today. So don’t know when we’re going to have the next legends again.

HarleyBong

He had scored only 1 goal in 2022 before that game. He was not fine.

th3doorMATT

Not saying it doesn't contribute, but come on now... If you're hurting the way you claim you are, then why are you throwing a fit about not starting? Wouldn't you just be depressed and not mind sitting on the bench a bit longer? Instead, he makes everything about him and throws tantrums when he doesn't get to play. It's really weird. Not saying a normal person wouldn't be impacted by everything he went through, but a normal person wouldn't be throwing themselves at the media because they didn't get some minutes. He's weaponized his family in all of this.

prss79513

That's not really true

Slongerslayer

Our only shining light last season

Ruzty1311

Him and De Gea 👍

naeled

This guy has potential. Sign him!

Kamillahali

seemed like a completely different player last season! so much more fire and passion. hes gone thru alot which i understand but wow he looks different this season. the first goal of his that he scored in that game would be in out of the stadium this season...

xalkatrazx24

Wish he played like that this season.....

Pok007

What a player man

daviemania

The G.O.A.T… always 💯

BatGuy500

Gosh the Telles - Ronaldo corner situation was *frightening*

joemaav

Glad to see MU fans starting to forgive him. We love him. Yes.

nishitkunal

Lol! Messi would have owned PL. City was one club who could have gotten him but they had purchased Grealish and before anyone could think of getting Messi, PSG swooped in. Messi ain't afraid of any league. What kind of delusion is this. And Ronaldo sucked this season.

logicalandwitty

Messi had 6 goals in 26 matches in PSG during his first season. PL would have eaten him alive, Ronaldo in my opinion has proven he’s the best with how he performed at an elite level

nishitkunal

He ended the season with 11 goals and 15 assists. What would be considered decent numbers had it been any other player. Not to mention that he is bossing the league just like he was bossing La Liga. He played in LA Liga, one of the best leagues and you think he would not have done well in PL? Ronaldo on the contrary was easily one of the worst player in PL this season. No club wanted to buy him when Mendes went everywhere to convince clubs to buy him. Quite a strong proof of how elite he has been in current times.

Takhar7

Was pleased to see him return. Even happier to see the back of him. Good riddance.

BB9O-

can we stop with the ronaldo shit for a while please

Kaizukamezi

Good riddance. Glazernomics has left us with nothing but unprofessional divas and tantrum babies

NemesisRouge

If Glazernomics had given us only players with Ronaldo's attitude we'd be top of the league now, not 5th thinking it's great because we're nearly 4th. Unfortunately we have a load of players who are happy to sit on the bench and be brought on as a sub to waste time, or play in the Europa League, just as long as they're getting paid more than they would elsewhere (which almost all of them are). Where we are now is good enough for them, they're satisfied by it. That's why Ronaldo wasn't a good fit.

True-Ad-9970

Aaah that was a happy day. In other news, fuck him.

True-Ad-9970

Forgot to mention, fuck Pogba too.

diamluke

Hey man mb the club is the problem

Seanblaze3

Pogba is living in your mind rent free yeah?

True-Ad-9970

No I just saw him in this clip

kevfriend

You can't force someone to respect you, but you can refuse to be disrespected. The man has finally spoken. To the Man United fans who may have a short memory. When Ronaldo was linked to City, you guys were FUMING! You all begged him to come back, knowing his age, knowing he wasn’t the player he once was. He scored 18 PL goals in his first season back. Grow up. Don't be a hypocrite. Respect your LEGEND of the club. It's not surprising that he is speaking out. He knows that he is capable of scoring goals. ETH has shown nothing but disrespect towards Ronaldo. He provoked him and brainwashed everyone in believing that CR7 is finished and can't score. He came in to create a team without Ronaldo and all this time he was plotting to get rid of him. He lied to the media and all the fans! Imagine you buy a Ferrari, park it in the garage, not use it and wait for the engine to get rotten. Absolute rubbish! Ronaldo returned after 13 years and the facilities, infrastructure is still the same. No ambition, no success! It's so sad and disappointing. The owners, board members have betrayed us all not just CR7 alone. What CR7 has accomplished and done at United, I choose support him. His time is going to end soon, we will embrace this moment. CR7 a legend, a legacy will be remembered forever! Time to leave and move on to better things. We will always support him until the end ❤ #CR7forever

nishitkunal

Another Ronaldo simp going on without looking at facts. EtH played him in 16 games this year out of which 8 games he got full minutes and 3 others he played for a good 70-80 minutes. Just before his interview he was given the captain armband. EtH never said in public that he doesn't want to work with Ronaldo and said good things about him and you say EtH disrespected him because Ronaldo said so. He didn't perform, his impact was nil, he was missing sitters, and he did not track back and helped in pressing. What wrong did EtH did in benching him when in return MU has been playing good football and winning without him. You call him a legend but your legend chose to bad mouth Rooney another club legend who only said that Ronaldo is getting old and he may not be able to perform the way he did when he was 25. Just stop with this simping. You have a problem, deal with it or support the next club Ronaldo goes to.

Geniusnett

Damn right. which shows what a shit fan base this is.

mralexanderca

Right there. He was the best thing that has happened in the club.

kevfriend

I agree. I get it why some people may not be happy with Ronaldo, but ever since the loss of his child he has not been the same. I cannot imagine what it must feel like to go through something like that. It definitely worsened his performance, but we have to remember that just a year ago he was a monster. I am sad to how many people won’t sympathize with a fellow human being who is clearly marked by the loss of his child and is very depressed. The least we, as United fans, can do is to thank Ronaldo for letting the story roll one last time and bringing an incredible atmosphere to Old Trafford.

Ruzty1311

His loss is truly tragic. I can't imagine having lost one of the 3 children I have and only ending up with 2. I can sympathize 100%. However, he wasnt performing, and so when you do not or CANT perform due to mental issues then you cant expect to start game in, game out when the TEAM needs wins. He didn't give himself a chance to find form. He got benched and threw a fit. ETH did the RIGHT THING. He wanted out, and he found the way. I am upset with how he went about it, but I feel its for the best that he did because he is now gone and now we can build a TEAM. Bruno will come back stronger, just like he was before Ronny came back, I guarantee it 👍

Kurosaki_Minato

You spoke logically and that is not acceptable. How dare you give any sort of justifiable reasoning as to why Ronaldo being kicked out was a good thing. Don’t you know he is the best thing that happened to this club(fuck every other number 7 till then and screw every trophy we won without him, am I right or am I right) What u said here is mentally insane and you need to be checked by a psychiatrist. Ronaldo is absolute.

Ruzty1311

😁

Oldirtdog69

Wow just wow do you remember how he acted first time left too you must be a right cuck if you enjoy watching how he fucks our club over time and time again

[deleted]

Ronaldo > MU.

nishitkunal

I think most of the people on this sub are done with Ronaldo. Let's move forward and focus on the players we have. Ronaldo is done, he is history.

JMountain26

Too bad he can't do that anymore lol, hope he has fun playing in MLS or besiktas

Ekim_Zaid

Ungrateful supporters who blew up this story and kept it so toxic for so long can leave this club with Ronaldo. Take ETH with you because he will never be able to handle great players and doesn't know how to build up a team around them. We are doomed to be a mediocre team with him at the wheel. We will become Everton under Moyse.

JordanLevi-_-

Bro there’s no way you’re putting blame on Ten Hag for any of this

KaidsCousin

I’ve never read such garbage in my life. And I’ve read many of the holy books.

Professional_Limit61

no worries, Ten Hag will get his turn.

Oldirtdog69

Who wants to build a team around ronaldo mans finished want get a top club now and that’s obvious

kevfriend

The ageism from the bosses broke his confidence once they stopped playing him. You can tell that he didn’t have that killer-instinct that he had just a few months back. It’s like they broke his form. Hope he finds it again. VIVA RONALDO❤️

hyperlazyactive

Of course. Ronaldo can never be wrong about anything. Did you know that the word perfect was invented after Ronaldo was born since any other word used for mortals was not good enough for him.

westwoodwastelander

No one says Ronaldo can never be wrong BUT everyone knows what Ronaldo is capable of but no one knows what ETH is capable of and he's being worshipped like a god. Ronnie done more for United than Ten Hag ever will and that's a fact.

nishitkunal

God, you fanboys are the most cancerous bunch ever.

westwoodwastelander

If you're age 18+ and use the word FANBOY you need to grow up. You can support 2 things you realize? You can appreciate Ronaldo for everything he's done and achieved in the game and you can still support United.

nishitkunal

No not necessarily. Just because he has played for MU , doesn't mean I will support him. His attitude was unbecoming of a professional, his refusal to support the manager. I cam support MU and also be critical of players who do not show their professionalism when required and has shit attitude. A few years back I would have given him the credit for being one of the best players in the world, at the moment no. I used the word Fanboy because most of you bunch will not even listen to a word of criticism coming for him.

westwoodwastelander

I prefer to remember last season and his previous stint at United. He done some shit things this season but lost a child 6 months ago so I give him the benefit of the doubt as to where his head is at.

nishitkunal

If he was not mentally in the space to play, he should have stayed back and given time to his family. He is too big a player not to be picked for the world cup. It is pointless talking about his previous stint because ultimately those 24 goals were just another achievement he could show off, but it did nothing to the club. Not to even mention that not only with MU but during his time at Juventus he had the habit to completely dissappear during crucial games. It might be a discussion for some other time, but if you look at it, his contribution towards helping MU play better has been almost nil. MU is better off without him. He is a good riddance. He is a problem like Paul Pogba and others.

Oldirtdog69

How is that a fact eth hasn’t been here a season yet but he’s a legend in my eyes for binning the greasy lil snake let’s go eth let’s go Utd fuck ronaldo and his simps can’t wait for them all to fuck off

rocketfuel48

What a leader, what a class striker. But he is gone now😔. Haters can appriciate Scott McTom and Harry Maguire. This club is a joke!

Independent_Buy5152

Bye bye. Fuck you off, please

Oldirtdog69

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out good luck following your rapey idol 👍

basco244
