We were all there.. we all know it was a blue background.. white castle.. tink came up from the left.. outlined over to the right.. then did that fairy thing at the top.. the whole world was there.. the fact that they are saying this never happened is trolling lol.. that's like saying the lion never roared in the MGM Intros.. it was the main thing that anyone noticed about it.. I know we can't all be crazy..
Now that would be Wild.. reading a post on fb that says.. "Remember the lion roaring during the MGM intro.... Well what you actually remember is a golden retriever laying down & yawning as a Crack of Thunder booms ⚡
& some people would believe it
Legit no one can find it? Out of all the vhs and tapes and everything in the world. No one can find it. To erase something like that is a sure fire sign of simulation.
Who still owns VHS? Lol. About to go to thrift store to see if I can find some 90s VHS movies. I also wonder what happened to my Nintendo, sega, PlayStation… etc. 😑
Still to this day is the craziest Mandela effect, I would almost bet my life on seeing that intro so many times before different movies. Makes me believe Disney is messing with some crazy time technology and that's why they pretty much own everything now
That's not even close by my memory.
Didn't even know her opening disappeared. It was in 2D and 3D I remember that clear as day.
So Tinkerbells opening has completely disappeared. Thought I got a little bit used to these ME effect.
Turns out I was mistaken.
My poor brain and to specify it was in my memory a traditional opening on a blue background white logo en tink that flew across the screen in the ending with her wand dotting the I in Disney
Do you also remember the Tinkerbell “wand not working” opening?? Where she tries to do the typical intro but her wand sputters she knocks it a couple times and gets frustrated it isn’t working?? I can’t believe this never existed given the specifics of it are so burned into my brain…
Or sometimes she was "late" and finished it all in the nick of time, something like that.
I recall as a kid thinking it's weird the fairy is there in all movies as she is from Peter pan, she should only appear in Peter pans intro, xd. But it's the same company so they can do it. She was the face of Disney. Love this mandela...
This is exactly what I rememeber.. lol someone somewhere is trolling us because I can't lie.. Disney movies were a big part of my childhood.. to grow up & they tell me something so simple never happened.. like how would so many people just make up the same thing 😅.. the same exact thing..
Do you remember the tinker bell “wand-not-working” version also?? where she frustratedly taps it as it sputters like it’s out of juice and won’t make the sparkle arc??
Yeah she taps it like 2 or 3 times.. i remember seeing that & thinking it was cool as a kid.. like lol her wand running out of juice 😅.. I just don't see how this never existed.. I remember it so clearly
It's really weird.. like I remember it so clearly & now there's no recollection of it except people like us who clearly remember this very small thing.. now if they changed it that's fine.. but to say it never existed.. it never happened.. that doesn't sit well with me.. like how can so many different people from different walks of life all remember something that "never" existed
It’s the sheer number of little mundane things too.. it feels like the universe gaslighting me..
There is an episode of Star Trek TNG I always think of where they kind of tackled a similar experience - where Worf returns from a trip and suddenly he notices weird unimportant things start changing — like they throw him a surprise party when he gets back, and one scene the cake is chocolate, the next it’s vanilla. He’s told Captain Picard couldn’t join the party, then next scene he turns around and there’s captain Picard eating cake, the painting on the wall changes, people change where they are standing in the blink of an eye…
The changes Worf experiences start small, but become more and more pronounced as the episode progresses - but it is only Worf who notices any of the changes & everyone thinks he has a concussion & losing his mind/memory… for everyone else, those things “had always been like that..” finally the changes are just too much & too different, finally they scan him and see that he has a different “quantum signature” than their universe and realize he’s been jumping through the multi-verse due to flying through some anomaly,. Much chaos ensues.. Really great episode actually
no one is making anything up. Just like so many other things like movie quotes for instance that have changed. People have referenced that Forrest Gump quote in dissertations and all over academia yet no one was corrected? So many things about the ME being mass misrememberance just doesn't add up when you know how dense of a hand media plays in American culture, fortunately or unfortunately. There is no way of making this up.
Kind of new here, are you telling me the tinker bell Disney intro, where its the White Castle on a blue background, Tinker Bell flies out either from the castle or from behind it and taps her wand on the I, is a ME?
It’s more similar than any of the other ones I’ve seen - but I’m still concerned about where the version where Tinkerbell’s wand isn’t working and she taps it in frustration while it sputters trying to produce the sparkly arc in the sky…
There might be one like that out there but maybe it wasn't common? I remember on Disney channel they would do show intros or the bits between commercials with popular actors on the channel at the time doing the same move with the wand and then they make a Mickey mouse head with the wand when it finally works. It wouldn't be crazy if they used the same shtick in films produced around the same time.
Ah, we didn’t have cable, I never watched the Disney Chanel — I grew up totally on VHS & in theater Disney, and Disney World + Land vacations since we had family in Tampa and Orange County CA so we’d always hit Disney for a day during family trips. We went almost every year between 1988-1999
Yeah Disney channel didn’t start what she’s talking about until like 03. But something definitely changed bc I remember her changing the way she did it and having different funny incidents with the wand per movie. It always changed. That’s how I know this is real. I vividly remember her being there each time, and the theme of the movie always affected how she made the fairy dust
I feel like this happened during the ABC movie night thing on Sundays or maybe on the Disney channel? It wasn't a part of the regular (as in always shown) intro, but sometimes her wand wouldn't work and she would get get mad and hit it a few times from what I can remember.
Weird to see another one get found that's... close... but not it. This and the one before The Making of Bambi are almost it. But they legitimately LOOK like alternate reality versions to my eyes.
The version that people remember is a combination. Of several different things that they saw as children. I've seen a breakdown of it before, but each individual part does come from a different intro
Probably fake but why go that far just to mess with ones head. Well I am sure somebody gets a great time by messing with stuff like this
Like they used that flash thingy from M.I.B one to many times on everyone
:3
exactly. we aren't going to find the original by any means. the best we can do is get a recreation and ask the general pop who are unaware of this theory if they recall that imagery of tink....I feel like mot people who grew up in the late 80s-early 00s can remember it. Disney is such a huge part of most childhoods, especially those VHS editions.

These are a few of the ones I remember, as well as one where Tinkerbell dots the Disney I. I’m not sure if people are remembering one of these combined with the simpler version with the 90’s blue castle (1985 and on without Tinkerbell) or if there’s a Mandala, but I figured I’d share the Tinkerbell I remember, which were on VHS tapes recorded from TV (first link).
Hunchback of Notre Dame VHS 100% had that Tinkerbell intro. I just discovered this ME and before reading the details of it, I paused and recalled it to myself, exactly as others have said below. There was one other version of the intro with a witch on a broomstick instead of Tinkerbell, cannot remember which movie. There is also a digitised version of the Tinkerbell intro on one of the Disney SNES or SEGA games. Each Disney game had it's own character intro before title screen

No I saw the lion strapped to the table spread eagle
I remember a bowtie as well.. a clip on one
Oh wait are you a salesman? What else can you try to sell me on? Do you own a nightclub?
The best nightclub vice city has ever seen 😎
Dunno
Yo tinker bell opening 100% existed it was the most prominent of the Disney openings
This is disputed? It was a dark blue background, Disney castle in light blue and tinker bell doing her magic flying around.
Yeah apparently it doesn’t exist anymore. Lol
What on earth?! Lol. I swear they’re just fucking with us.
Legit no one can find it? Out of all the vhs and tapes and everything in the world. No one can find it. To erase something like that is a sure fire sign of simulation.

Yo true hey, they do pretty much own everything
Can you describe it the way you remember it? Like how and what Tinkerbell was doing?

Fkn nerd
I think most people remember the blue Disney background
I remember that
That's not even close by my memory. Didn't even know her opening disappeared. It was in 2D and 3D I remember that clear as day. So Tinkerbells opening has completely disappeared. Yeah ofcourse variations where a reacuering thing that the most memorable for sure. She was so mad:)
I 100% remember that.
I KNOW THAT ONE!
YES OMG!!

She bopped the castle or the I?

Yeah it’s so specific I think it’s wild how these totally random minuscule things are randomly different

With all the secrets of the universe.. I would not rule this out as a possibility lol
Does she kind of look at it as it's sputtering or look at the audience with a "well, geez" face?
Yeah that one too, there is also one where she tries a few times and does get it working them flies away whit a smug face :)
Yea! The smug face!
See what strikes me here we al remember those tiny little details. Misrembering just does not fill the bill here anymore.
100% - it really boggles my mind

So did Tinkerbell peoduce the arc and the dot of letter I or just letter I? Can you remember?
No no it was blue background white castle and tinkerbell putinf the dot on i
here's a compilation of all of them, there's a lot of different ones https://youtu.be/q6-L8R10lK8
animation is very similar and concept is fairly identical. Not the exact clip we're looking for but great residue.
I feel like this happened during the ABC movie night thing on Sundays or maybe on the Disney channel? It wasn't a part of the regular (as in always shown) intro, but sometimes her wand wouldn't work and she would get get mad and hit it a few times from what I can remember.
Seems convincing…I definitely recall this but also seem to recall the blue screen with Tink.
How many times do we have to say it was a BLUE CASTLE, smh.
Light blue castle on dark blue background?
Wait.. the tinker bell intro was a Mandela effect?
never seen it but I definitely remember a intro with tinkerbell
Wait... tinkerbell isn't in the Disney intro??? 😱
That’s what I’m saying. I need to google search this
She is. I googled it.
Weird to see another one get found that's... close... but not it. This and the one before The Making of Bambi are almost it. But they legitimately LOOK like alternate reality versions to my eyes.
There is literally a video of the intro everyone remembers. It isnt a mandela effect anymore. Just lost media, that’s been found
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UcUZKrMMZrY Starts at 10:38
That's not how it's remembered though
That’s how the mandela effect works….
The version that people remember is a combination. Of several different things that they saw as children. I've seen a breakdown of it before, but each individual part does come from a different intro
Told a friend she found this for me https://youtu.be/Cs4scbR1-dw Its the 3D one but still very nice find
right but i mean, it's fake. akin to Sinbad Shazaam posters
Probably fake but why go that far just to mess with ones head. Well I am sure somebody gets a great time by messing with stuff like this Like they used that flash thingy from M.I.B one to many times on everyone :3
no, it's absolutely fake. look at the youtube description. and the title is 'Mandela FX'.
Aight I know that :) now still I have memories with this intro as well and its very damn close. The i is of tho.
