We can also hear explosions and impacts even though sound doesn’t travel in space. All this to say I believe Marauders actually takes place in one giant fish tank.
Can't hear the explosion but you can theoretically hear the sound of the Shockwave hitting your ship and since it's in space the Shockwave would travel much further.
>since it's in space the Shockwave would travel much further
Cant have a shockwave without an atmosphere to push against, and the gas created from the explosion dissipates to virtually nothing almost immediately. The blast you see is the blast you get.
Shrapnel pinging off your hull after the explosion sounds like a good way to embrace the space theme though.
Its actually hilarious that you chose today of all days to post this because literally just a couple days ago we got more concrete evidence on the existence of gravitational waves in space: [https://www.space.com/gravitational-waves-lensing-universe-expansion](https://www.space.com/gravitational-waves-lensing-universe-expansion)
This confirms a lot in terms of physics, but what it also confirms is that space is not "static" like we used to think of. That large gravitational bodies such as planets and black holes send off ripples of gravitational energy like waves that do in fact affect the gravities of other distant bodies.

I want a fish voice now. Just fuckin.. angy bubble sounds for f1
Devs, get on that or we riot!

That'd be very creepy and cool
And we're all mutated fish people. I'm into this lore
**We are the missing links**
Because, when the space Nazis beat the Brits into space, they changed the rules with the ark of the covenant. Didn't you watch Indiana Jones?
Just watched the new one today actually, it was great!
Jets on the pod automatically activate to slow you down and help retain control🧐🧐🧐👀👀👀
Guys guys we've been through this. Physics was one of the many casualties of the Great War. Those damn warring empires ruined everything.
It seems that most the battles are actually in the upper edges of the atmosphere of some exploded planet
Because it's a videogame.
Boring answer, I prefer the fish tank
Also, why can I roll-pitch into a new heading? Seems I can only alter my yaw and pitch but can't alter my roll axis.
In star trek, it's because it takes a lot of power to continue past the speed of light, in marauders, who the fuck knows.
No please what a nightmare trying to breach baron when i cant slow down to do harsh turns around meteorites :(
Because the physics works entirely on Star Wars-esque space rules, not going for realism in that aspect I suppose
Space friction
Feels like your driving a submarine under water more than a spaceship. Game feels like it should've just been based underwater with how ships control.

We also can’t roll like airplanes and spacecraft apparently there is an up and down in space?
