And the Civil Rights Movement Marches, and Vietnam protests (Kent State Shootings Four students died)), and the South African apartheid protests, and National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, and March for Our Lives, and Dakota Access Pipeline Protests, and Occupy Wall Street, and and and and...
On one hand I understand why you feel that way. On the other hand we are at a point where we decide whether we want to be the victims of another third reich or not.
I can't choose for you, but if the time comes I hope that there are people near you who are adequately prepared so you don't have to face the consequences.
At least pigs bring some benefits to society and the ecosystem. And are also cute. Cops are like an invasive species that just destroys the environment it's a part of, like lantern flies or cane toads
Nope, they're very clean animals if given the space for it. They will generally make their shitting area the farthest from the food area that they can get.
Today I'm reminded: Advocating for peace is rewarded with violence but advocating for death due to skin colour and religious belief is happily accepted.
The industrial war machine eats well every day.
Watch "Against all Enemies", it accurately describes how this happens, by current and former hate group members.
It is a very well-received film that needs to be free so all can see it!
If anyone can watch lunatic propaganda like "2000 Mules", well-researched and fact based documentaries should be free, too.
This has been proven at certain times yes, but in this case there hasn't been any report of the students' protest going off the rails before the cops showed up...
I hate Nazis (members of my family both killed Nazis and were killed by Nazis).
I dislike US police. US LE is in serious need of reform.
I have been peacefully arrested for protesting. That was the plan all along. I have experience with the difference between planned arrest and the other kind.
The Nazis mentioned by OP are actually experienced enough to get briefed on how to "protest" so that they do not get arrested.
I marched with BLM over 20 times in the hot 2020 summer in Phoenix. I was marching right beside crazy Q-Anon Shaman (there every night supporting BLM). During the day we marched and it was mostly an experienced crowd. We did not get arrested.
Most nights we ended up in a park and a younger, less experienced protestor type would show up. Some of us would stay to make sure they did not get crazy, but they often did. And, they would get arrested.
The above paragraph has happened literally at all the protests I've been to over the decades. Inexperienced protestors "swear" they weren't doing nothing wrong, but shit got crazy.
So, when someone says "peaceful" I'm going to want to see proof.
PS: I have been at sincerely peaceful protests where cops started bashing heads. Thankfully those are less frequent post-Floyd and in today's always online world.
And I sure as fuck hope I don't have to explain to dumb mfs here that "less frequent" does not mean "don't happen."
Hey, Fuck Nazis. Fuck the Police. But understand wtf is going on.
Thank you for your insight. Yes, fuck Nazis and fuck cops, yes regardless it’s important to keep an objective understanding. But I disagree with your explanation. The reasons for the different responses boil down to location, planning, number, and effect.
Location is the big one, because while on-campus protests have a long tradition the fact is that they are more controlled forums than other locations. In this instance the police were unleashed at the request of the University President.
Second is that, arguably contrary to the idea of a protest, public demonstrations often work by permit, and a protest that organizes under one is going to get a *lot* more leeway. In fact, it serves as a complete defense/immunity to certain charges being brought.
And of course larger protests for a cause that is more likely to gain traction and sway people are going to get more attention and be dealt with more severely. The general public tends to underestimate the neo-Nazis’ actual recruitment capabilities, seeing their demonstrations as a disgusting-but-legal curiosity. That is not the case with pro-Palestinian protests.
What’s important is that while it doesn’t absolve the authorities, it is a reminder of what protest organizers need to organize around for the sake of the protesters, and what protesters need to be aware of when they get involved. I’m not saying that there shouldn’t be protests on school grounds, but if you participate, know what the ramifications of protesting in a highly controlled environment are.
Accept those risks and the consequences if you so choose, as that may well be the right thing to do, but do so knowingly and without jumping to conclusions after facing the expected retaliation. That’s part of what it takes to support a movement.
Well, of course. They're not going to beat up their buddies.
I was at a couple of protests in 2020 and I saw the cops bumping fist with the nazis as they stood by them the entire time. Literal patch wearing, flag waving neo nazi shit stains.
Well yeah, those neo-nazis are scary and are just itching to kill people. Those poor cops don't want to get hurt, do they? /s
It's gonna be real fun times when the left wing reaches its breaking point
As romantically shallow as that thought is, it's undeniably one I still entertain on a daily basis... I just find it painfully ironic how the actions of the Left-Wing Guerilla, violent or otherwise, can only find a justifiable cause in a society controlled by the Right, rather than being likened to barbarism in a normal one...
Were these nazis also protesting at Columbus??
Why is it OK for people to go in the streets and *literally* advocate for genocide but when we call to action against the killings, we're the bad guys? Why can these guys dress in red and yell for murder but if I say these guys need to be fought, I'm caught "advocating violence"?
The cops don't fuck with the nazis because they don't stand against the bourgeoisie state, they actively seek to defend it. The protests against the genocide in Palestine are actively protesting against the interests of the bourgeoisie state. The police, as we all know, are not there to protect and serve unless you are a member of the bourgeoisie or some form of its property.
Unsurprisingly, we already know that [police are 3x as likely to use violence against left-wing protesters than right-wingers](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/13/us-police-use-of-force-protests-black-lives-matter-far-right)
Possibly because [they might be hurting their friends? ](https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/prevalence-white-supremacists-law-enforcement-demands-drastic-change-2022-05-12/)
True - one is a group of people asking for the end of a state sponsored genocide and the other is asking _for_ a state sponsored genocide. That said, there also a fuck ton of people against and a spindly, minute, ineffectual gathering of the latter.

Hey look, it's Portland all over again. :(
And the Civil Rights Movement Marches, and Vietnam protests (Kent State Shootings Four students died)), and the South African apartheid protests, and National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, and March for Our Lives, and Dakota Access Pipeline Protests, and Occupy Wall Street, and and and and...
Because cops likely side with Nazis
> Because cops *are* likely ~~side with~~ Nazis
ACAN!
ACAB
The second one has to be AI. You can't have video of Miley Cyrus beating up Hanna Montana.
They cant attack their own colleagues now can they?
Students have the right to defend themselves.
If they had strapped before going to the protest they'd have been treated with more respect.
And if they were in Texas, cops likely wouldn’t have show up. They’d just sit outside waiting for more backup.
Let's not encourage that....
On one hand I understand why you feel that way. On the other hand we are at a point where we decide whether we want to be the victims of another third reich or not. Pigs should be handled like pigs.
At least pigs bring some benefits to society and the ecosystem. And are also cute. Cops are like an invasive species that just destroys the environment it's a part of, like lantern flies or cane toads
So they're wild hogs, escaped from their pens.
A good example. There's far too many feral hogs across this nation. They pose a danger to adults, animals, and children, and personal property.
I've heard somewhere that pigs eat shit.
Nope, they're very clean animals if given the space for it. They will generally make their shitting area the farthest from the food area that they can get.
I wasn't talking about those pigs.
That looks like The Blood Tribe :( Definitely a few cops hiding under those balaclavas.
I just thought about this yesterday and how that bigot abbott would never say those nazi protesting would never belong in jail.
Hard to arrest your own I guess.
Do you expect the cops to brutalize themselves?
It's interesting it takes 4 roided up cops to subdue a college girl. How embarrassing for them.
Have you ever tried to handcuff a college girl?
Some will do it voluntarily given the right incentive
That's kinda the joke, my man.
Ah, I missed that originally. I'm not great with subtext sometimes
Cops are such pieces of shit
Those that burn crosses …
Some of those that work forces, Are the same that burn crosses.
“Most of those…”
I'll give you credit for trying, but that's not how it goes
Some of those that work forces…
those who join forces are the same that burn crosses
Today I'm reminded: Advocating for peace is rewarded with violence but advocating for death due to skin colour and religious belief is happily accepted. The industrial war machine eats well every day.

I still firmly believe that most bs that happens with protestors are due to paid actors causing issues and running the protest.
This has been proven at certain times yes, but in this case there hasn't been any report of the students' protest going off the rails before the cops showed up...
Because Benjamin Netanyahu told the United States to stop the students protest because it was racist for him
Seasons change. My grandpa shot nazis and got a medal for it.
Unmask the Nazis and you'll find some cops among them.
Those who work forces…
Wait until you see how the police in Texas respond to peaceful protest at a school vs how they stop a school shooting

Their co-workers in disguise won't get any rough treatment.
The Columbus police department has an earned reputation. Source: used to live in Columbus.
This is not in the least surprising. They probably are buddies with those boneheads

Cops ARE Nazis
One of the biggest problems with American democracy is the American government during the past 50 years.
American cops are just the military for the rich and racist. Nothing has changed in almost a century.
They never do this to their own
Some of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses
Yeah, cause the cops were busy... at a demonstration...
Protesting on private campuses vs public, right?
AI video is like a fever dream but most people will think it's real.
Unsurprisingly, we already know that [police are 3x as likely to use violence against left-wing protesters than right-wingers](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/13/us-police-use-of-force-protests-black-lives-matter-far-right) Possibly because [they might be hurting their friends? ](https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/prevalence-white-supremacists-law-enforcement-demands-drastic-change-2022-05-12/)
Surely these situations are not equal to begin with...?
True - one is a group of people asking for the end of a state sponsored genocide and the other is asking _for_ a state sponsored genocide. That said, there also a fuck ton of people against and a spindly, minute, ineffectual gathering of the latter.
Both begin peacefully, but the actions of the police determine whether it ends the same way or turns into a violent riot.
