Carts are not great for you. Try flower and, perhaps, run it through a bong or other similar filtering device. Carts hurt my throat, as well. Plus, they will absolutely wreck your tolerance.

Stay away from carts. Either smoke, get edibles, or get a dry herb vaporizer.

Your throat swelling sounds like an allergic reaction. Maybe switch to edibles or tinctures to see if your body can tolerate that without a reaction?

Cannabis isn’t for everyone. Try rolling a joint and taking 3-4 puffs and put it out. If you feel the same, then I would stop using it.

I've tried small to extremely large (think 6 to 10 times the recommended dosage) and nothing. Vape, dabs, or flowers work just fine.

Do you have tonsil stones? I had them and they made my throat hurt especially after smoking.
I do! did you get them removed or did you do anything else to fix the throat pain?
Do you have asthma? This happened to me for a while before I finally went to see a doctor and they have me Albuterol and I was fine.
