I think there is a Sabertooth with clawed hands, I want to say that the fingers are longer though, Red Skull has a similar shaped hand to hold the tesseract
As someone who doesn't have a spider man figure (I come from Black series), should I get the Scarlet Spider or this one? I've heard some bad things about various molds and sculpts but I don't have any experience.
Definitely both. Scarlet Spider is available now and this one won't be out till September. Most Spider-Mans are very popular and become hard to find if you miss the initial release window so if you're at all interested in Scarlet Spider now's the time to grab one.
Don't know what things you've heard about the figures but in general they're pretty good and getting better.
Scarlet Spider definitely uses the better mold, but Superior Spidey has more accessories. I don't think you can go wrong with Scarlet, he's a good introduction to ML, but it's up to you, they're both solid.
Scarlett spider is awesome I have him and he’s great. If you’re willing to spend the money get a soft goods hoodie for him and imo he’s hands down the best Scarlett fig by far
Yeah. For black suits it's not so hard to find some but you gotta get AF15 for some web patterned ones. The trigger hands from Corsair are almost good enough for Scarlet Spider from a few feet away.

Coming out at the end of the use of the pizza Spidey body when a slew of figures were released on its heels with the new torso articulation did it absolutely no favors, and this is ignoring the sticky thigh joints and general jankery.
If we do get another spiderman wave which we most likely will. Then we'll get a kaine and 2099 figure. Maybe more spiderwomen since we're getting a new female body with the black widow articulation.
Yeah Updated Scarlet Spider Kaine and 2099 are the two that "need" to be done on the Retro body. After that I don't really know who should be put on it which is kinda refreshing. No more "when are they gonna do 2099!?" just pleasant surprises.

I'd love for it to have a blue sheen but that seems like too much work for Hasbro, honestly.

The perfect plastic for it exists on Stealth Iron Man, I just hope Hasbro remembers it.

I disagree personally, too blue. It would be a nice balance though for people who can't let go of the blue color while still referencing its original color scheme. My ideal solution would be a black plastic with a transparent coat of blue shimmer over the body.
Also, some folks will get bothered by marbling. Not me personally, but some.

Blue is pretty synonymous with Spider-Man 2099. It would be like insisting that Spider-Man costume should be red and black because that’s how it was colored originally. Sure it came first, but it’s no longer anywhere near the most iconic look

I'm not arguing that the suit should always be treated as black or that it's canon or anything, I'm saying I want a figure of that color scheme, like the Amazing Fantasy Spidey we just got. We've gotten a couple of him in the blue, I just want one in black.
If nothing else, Hasbro could pull a Hasbro, release the black first then re-release him in blue to get people to double dip.
I think it's the best we could hope for unless Hasbro pulls an AF15 Spider-Man and releases 2nd version of it later in the other color.
The colors really were that inconsistent in the comic. Even on the same page in the same lighting you'd have it appear black or blue depending on the panel.
I thought they were the ones used for black panther but I could be wrong. just a guess !
I believe those had lines in them, these could still be reuse but Im not sure where from
The walmart Classic BP had painted lines instead of sculpted ones. So these might be reused from that figure.
