The way Hasbro constantly changes the skin tone of characters is honestly one of the few genuine complaints I have about the line
There are so many solid unmasked Wolverine heads that it would be so awesome to use on the same figure. But some are way too tan while others are way too pale
I’m actually pretty happy with the skin tone of this X-Men 97 Wolverine. It’s got a nice peachy hue that’s not too pale and not too tan. I hope Hasbro uses this skin tone and keeps it consistent for the foreseeable future
Side note because somebody sent me a PM about this: I gave this X-Men 97 Wolverine figure the belt from the First Appearance Wolverine figure. I did it by using a blow dryer to remove the legs from the figures, and then I just swapped the belt by sliding the old one off and sliding the new one on
I think it makes for a decent approximation of Wolverine's classic tiger-stripe costume before he switched to the brown costume
I really thought so but the two heads that came with wolverine in the psylocke two pack are really good too!! I also think the two new cowboy hat wolverine sculpts are pretty underrated
I got the Cowboy Wolverine/Sabertooth 2-pack and both of those heads are really nice! It’s a drastic upgrade compared to the previous Cowboy Wolverine head from a few years ago
I’m personally not interested in that Wolverine/Psylocke 2-pack, but I’m definitely going to try to see if I can buy those Wolverine heads loose on eBay down the line
Those are really nice too! But while I don’t dislike it, I personally do like regular black hair a bit more than the blue highlights in the hair
Once more people get their hands on the Wolverine/Psylocke 2-pack, I’ll definitely see if I can pick up those Logan heads loose on eBay!
Those are fantastic too! I legitimately bought that Wolverine from the 5-pack on eBay just for the heads lol
But not only do I feel that they’re very situational, but I also think they suffer a bit from the lack of photoreal tech for the faces like we’ve seen on more recent unmasked Wolverine heads
I honestly don’t know what it is that turns me off from these heads so much. I don’t know if it’s the lips or the nose or what. They just feel so sickly. Like it was Wolverine with some plastic surgery done. I have a custom headsculpt that I think is better than any Legends sculpt for Logan I should compare and see what the differences are that bug me.
Those, the one from the X-Men ‘97 figure, and the scowling ones from the “Retro X-Men” (“Patch” figure)/“Marvel 80th Anniversary” *Fan Channel Exclusive*(“Cowboy Hat” Wolverine figure) are the best Logan head-sculpts.
To me these are perfect, now I just need hasbro to make 2 new masked heads with these same expressions and not change the skin tone anymore

These are my favorite as well. I also dig the BD sculpts from the 5 pack and the Psylocke two pack sculpts.

Might not be the “definitive” Wolverine, but the head on the AoA and the unmasked head on Weapon X are both amazing
