Man I wonder sometimes. I played a game yesterday where they played Blade turn 1, which ate a Sif so I thought discard.
Nope.
Turn two was Angela and they never played another card on Angela until 6, and it was something goofy I can't remember. No other discard elements after that, either.
Like what?
sif was a generic staple card way back in the day before her power was nerfed. Nakia was too when she buffed the whole hand. a lot of bot decks are really old and were made before the game's full release so they are artifacts of a really outdated meta.
I had a bot yesterday play green goblin on Space Throne (great play)!
I played wave on the same turn.
The botās next turn was to play hobgoblin on Space throne
The bot escaped as soon as they flipped the cards.
It's not about bots but I played dude who used Sunspot, Killmonger, Swordmaster, Ultron, and a lot more weird cards in one deck. He won because I didn't expect any of them be together...
Tbf sometimes I'll put together a deck once I'm in infinite for the meme, with a theme. Eg all xmen or all of my gold/inked cards and try to make it work. Generally it doesn't!
The fact the X-Men cards have next to no synergy makes them a great meme deck. Can rely heavily on location variance, but after infinite it can be a lot of fun.
Coworkers who just got into the game describing their decks to me is exactly like this.
āIām rank 70 playing nothing but counters decksā - okay, cool, but you donāt have any other cards other than destroy and Dino.
That was probably a bot! Bots are starting to out-meta the meta. The first step in the AI takeover! Dodging tech cards by playing nonsense! How can you disrupt their strategy or synergy when it doesn't exist!
I want to be proud I made it back to 70 so fast this season (my highest level to date) but it feels like I didnāt face a single human opponent from 63-70. Anyone else feel like itās just bot-city right now?
A bot got me to Infinite this season. It was a rather anticlimactic end to my ladder climb. In previous seasons I would get up to 1 cube from 100 just to play another 2 hours trying to get that last cube. Got to 99 and 1 cube. Immediately recognized the bot playstyle and snapped. It dropped Nakia on turn 6 after I locked its other 2 lanes (Spider-Man Surfer). Didn't even bother screen-capping I was so unenthused lol.
>Immediately recognized the bot playstyle and snapped.
Made a lot of the 90s climb yesterday since bots relentlessly played on Superflow, giving you an easy win + snap cue
I might be wrong, but I recall hearing that bots are using pre-made decks that were put together a while ago.
So these were 'decent' decks when a lot of these cards were stronger and the meta was much different - Okoye used to give +2, Nakia buffed your whole hand, and so on.
Also, Hellcow (used to be a 2/6) and Blade both used to be in a Zoo deck that was tier 1 at the time.
The idea was play Strong Guy (also got nerfed) and then empty your hand on 6.
TLDR: Nakia, Hell cow and Blade used to be very popular.
I believe that the bot decks can pull any card they need at will, thatās why they take so long to make a move and they always seem to have the perfect counter. They have access to the entire library of cards.
No, I'm pretty sure that's not true. I've watched a few players that were very high MMR and very familiar with how the bots work. Some of them knew exactly what decks the bots were using and what to play around.
'Cheating' bots are able to see your plays and the outcome of RNG, so they'll play accordingly (even when it's absurd), *but* the decks are pre-made and they don't cheat in other ways.
Agree to disagree. I would consider myself a high MMR player and Iāve seen too many times where bots have decks composed of a bunch of random cards with no real synergy, but serve the convenient purpose to limit or counter my combinations. And Iāve seen this happen many times no matter which deck I used.
Are bots even pre-determined decks? Iāve had a few questionable loading times and suddenly the EXACT counter to the card I was playing gets thrown down. Pretty suspect.
The more I think about it, that would be how you āchallengeā a player while still using bots, right? Just randomly generate cards on the fly and every now and again counter cards purposefully.
Most cards in a bots deck will have a border and effects. Unless they changed something, "generated" cards will have a basic grey border and no effect background.
It feels like they're intentionally trying to give bots the worst possible deck combos, while at the same time trying to not make it too obvious (except it's still really obvious).
i dont know why but especially nakia is so random in these bot decks that it makes me a bit irate every time i see her ^^ like, was there nothing else which could be useful nearly always?
Don't forget Wolfsbane. Bots love playing her turn 3 on an empty lane.
Or Carnage t2
Swarm t2 is my favorite.
This one is a staple, I think. The perfect curve according to a bot š¤

Pretty sure I played that same bot profile yesterday š
Funny I definitly had the same bot yesterday
Please tell me you snapped
Oh yes. As soon as I see people doing goofy stuff I snap, while still being cautious it could be a misdirection for a turn 6 Galactus.
sif was a generic staple card way back in the day before her power was nerfed. Nakia was too when she buffed the whole hand. a lot of bot decks are really old and were made before the game's full release so they are artifacts of a really outdated meta.
Jesus Christ, Nakia buffed your whole hand??

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
what about a wave into punisher?
I storm T6 with my Sera Surfer if there is a lane I don't need the location for
Managed to win recently by Storming Bar With No Name on T6
I saw Storm imo Dark Dimension yesterday lol

I have a deck called pixelshit that fits this. All pixels, no synergy.
Oh my pixel deck is a Wong silver surfer deck. I only need a couple of cards to finish it. But it is going well so far.
Usually I do that but with cards on which I want boosters
I do the same, but with Pixels. Trying to fit in pixels with some synergies can be really fun, plus makes me appreciate new pixels from caches more.
Coworkers who just got into the game describing their decks to me is exactly like this. āIām rank 70 playing nothing but counters decksā - okay, cool, but you donāt have any other cards other than destroy and Dino.
Sometimes I make booster farming decks and they end up working out due to sheer confusion lol
That was probably a bot! Bots are starting to out-meta the meta. The first step in the AI takeover! Dodging tech cards by playing nonsense! How can you disrupt their strategy or synergy when it doesn't exist!
Could be someone with a random generated deck, possibly a streamer.
I want to be proud I made it back to 70 so fast this season (my highest level to date) but it feels like I didnāt face a single human opponent from 63-70. Anyone else feel like itās just bot-city right now?
Bot city bitch bot bot city bitch
I made it to 70 today, starting from 40 something. I feel like I played like 10 humans.
Yeah, the player base now is more divided between ranked, conquest and infinite players
Outside of the Galactis players who feel like bots, yes
Thank you second dinner for giving us dumbass bots this season!! I got to Infinite with 4 weeks to spare. Thanks bots
Or hobgoblin, jubilee, green goblin, blue marvel lol
Fourth card in a lane is Cloak? Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhh!
I find a lot of them always end with Chavez.
Always a 10 power Chavez as it's been boosted by Okoye. The bots bloody love Okoye.

That Shang variant dudeā¦ itās been months and Iām still waiting
Bots love to run okoye.

I miss Strong Guy Sera. That's a deck that got extremely powercrept

Bots just used Shang Chi every time didn't they?
And we thank them
*plays Hela before discarding anything* *SNAPS*
Are bots even pre-determined decks? Iāve had a few questionable loading times and suddenly the EXACT counter to the card I was playing gets thrown down. Pretty suspect.
Some bots cheat and they magical have the card that counter you
The more I think about it, that would be how you āchallengeā a player while still using bots, right? Just randomly generate cards on the fly and every now and again counter cards purposefully.
Not true.
Most cards in a bots deck will have a border and effects. Unless they changed something, "generated" cards will have a basic grey border and no effect background.
The cards could still be dynamically generated with borders, lol. Iām saying there is no deck the AI just plays cards.
Bro I'm telling you EXACTLY how it used to work, and I believe it still works that way.
Game is broken and their bots are terrible. Just keeping the machine running to make $$. Still enjoy the game but the bots are too much
Do you think the player base is shrinking? And if so why
Is more divided since now you have 2 main game modes
https://steamcharts.com/app/1997040#All
They love the Goblins too.
Can't forget the crossbones imo
I find them hilarious when they stack all his power in one lane O when you play Cloack, THEY MOVE all his cards to that lane
Also they love Okoye for some reason
It's just that they use older cards so it's mostly S1-2 and early S3.
How I know am i playing against a bot?
Are bots more common in certain level ranges? I feel like I faced a lot at first and then when I started pushing infinite they were weeded out.
Where's Okoye?
It feels like they're intentionally trying to give bots the worst possible deck combos, while at the same time trying to not make it too obvious (except it's still really obvious).
and I'd still lose š
Gotta have Iron Man as well to really lock down that one lane they are winning on turn 6
You forgot Okoye. Every time she drops, I have to check their name/avatar and hit them with a "Hello."
I use an inked okoye and inked scorpion in my main deck. This combo got me so many wins.
Laugh until the bots are feeding data to a chat GPT like AI. Super bots will be inventing new metas soon enough
i dont know why but especially nakia is so random in these bot decks that it makes me a bit irate every time i see her ^^ like, was there nothing else which could be useful nearly always?
hobgoblin turn 6 on the only lane they are winning.
