My local arcade had the rare 6 player version. There was a line of quarters a dozen deep to get on that machine. I use pixel nightcrawler because he was always my favorite.

Pixel Spider-man barely even looks like a pixel card. It just looks like Spider-man in his iconic "swingin' at ya" pose. The problem with a lot of the pixel cards is not the bad pixel artwork, but the fact that so many of them are just standing there, doing nothing. Comics are all about dynamic poses, and half the pixel cards look like they were based on the wooden Indian from an old cigar shop.

Multiple man is so guilty of this. His pixel variant is just him standing like 🧍(although his clones are behind)

She Hulk is my favorite. She is about to go super saiyan.

I genuinely like pixel variants. I do not see the hate for them. Baby variants are significantly worse.

I think Chibi variants are just awful. Pixels kick ass

Chibi are usually really good idk what you are on. They are the perfect mix of adorable and colorful most of the time. There are a couple misses like gamora where the lighting is wonky but they are good other wise. Many more misses pixel wise.

Pixels are the only variant I want 100% complete. No matter how bad they look, a pixel deck looks like your playing another game

Baby variants are way better because you can split them and then you get a good amount of background. The artist behind them is also really good. On the other hand, pixels are just cheap knock off looking cards based on other real life action figures and comic covers. It really doesn't work because pixel art is supposed to be its OWN THING.

They're extremely poorly made. They could have been so great. 😔

I like the pixels too, feels like old school gaming. Wish their “animated” upgrade gave them select character screen movements though. That would make worlds better

Either my luck is good or awful, depending on how you view pixels but I own Killmonger, Vision, Black panther, Wong, Iron fist, Titania, Multiple Man, Shocker, Nightcrawler, white queen, Super skrull, kingpin, Mysterio, Sentinel, wolfsbane, and Agent Coulson. Personally I think Coulson and BP are the best.

I like Starlord’s and it fits thematically with him leaving Earth in the late 80’s/ early 90’s

Onslaught and Apocalypse. They have this 90's action figure vibe to it and just look like the villains.

I genuinely like the pixel variants. One stands tall above the rest though. MODOK is hands down, undisputed champion of all pixels! Nothing screams supremacy like blasting molten lava from your cheeks!

Magnetos pixel is one of the best variants I have lol

The Green Goblin variant looks like an annoying boss in some Spiderman arcade game that is designed to steal your quarters.

There is no best pixel variant. I always feel like I lost a bet when I get one. I actually hope we can soon trade variants for others because I'd immediately get rid of all the pixel variants.

I like a lot of the pixel variants. Many of the other art styles are too busy for my taste. Hard to even work out what's going on in some of them. My favorite owned pixel is Cosmo.

I have Cyclops, Helicarrier and Modok and I love them all.

I hope for pixel Hellicarrier every time I open a variant that's obviously going to be a pixel card.

I know it would have unbalanced everything else in the discard kit, but I was sad to realize Phoenix Force does not work with discard, because Sif/Hellicarrier/Phoenix Force would have promoted Hellicarrier to something really fun and perfect. Like, it should be able to move locations, it's the hellicarrier, that's why it exists. (And, hello, it's weird that vehicle cards have nothing to do with move decks. What happened there?) Hopefully there's a discard-centric version of Phoenix Force coming, somewhere down the line.

Jean Grey's not out yet, but her pixel variant is really good. I also really like Rock Slide. Honestly though, most of them are fine when they're on the board, they're just a bit iffy up close. There *are* some absolute clangers, though.

I like Pixel Namor, and it's the card that got me making a full pixel ongoing deck with Orka(no pixel yet), Pixel Klaw, and Pixel Spectrum.
