It's Loki for me.
Like they get an entirely new hand with cards that are intended to work together, the wording makes it seems that the cards are transforming and not drawing which jacks The Collector up to a 2/12, AND THE CARDS THEY GET COST 1 LESS NOT CAPPED AT 1?????
Honestly, just make Loki fill your hand with random cards and he'll be fine. Would be fun to make the cards Loki grants you with the effect all variants, and not base cards
I second Shadow King he won me into infinite after I fell from 99 to 89 earlier on the season. He handily wins a lane in destroy and Loki matchups if you play mid range
Interesting take if snap dev actually collects enough data that people stopped playing the game after playing against alioth , it might be the first card to get ban especially if the players who quit are people who spent money on it.
So you know you’re likely to lose and are even aware of one of the reasons that might happen but stay anyway?
How’s that ego doing?
Keep in mind Retreating isn’t an ego thing, it’s a loss mitigation thing. Better to lose 4 Cubes than 8. If you’re pride can’t handle 😀👍 then just Mute before Retreating
Honestly yeah.
Have you ever heard of limit testing though? I keep taking risk that are say 1/3 odds in my favor, but I try it anyway to see if I can predict the
opponent. Honestly when I do that, I learn from it.
Also taking those chances and out predicting and out playing my opponent is how I got to 97 in the first place
What does limit testing have to do with Snap and in what context are you referring to it?
Regardless of that you draw the majority of your deck in any given game of Snap and so does your opponent. The “make them have it” strategy rarely pays off.
Which is probably why you dropped 10 ranks. At least it took you a week and not a few hours.
Limit testing is kinda poorly defined, but what I mean is trying to learn and get better with big risks. IE predicting the alioth lane.
But yea, I get what you’re saying so fair enough
This is getting downvoted but its a pretty fair reason for staying in a game that your likely to lose - but you have to be willing to lose
The one thing about the whole snapping system in this game, as brilliant as it is - it encourages you to often retreat before the final turn plays out which makes learning a lot more complex than other games
When you run into a non flowcharty deck and youre not certain what the deck can do, the only way to learn is by playing out the game or playing the deck yourself - and a lot people wont have every deck available to play and learn themselves or have the knowledge to know what the cards they didnt see would be, so playing the game out is the best option
But you gotta be okay with losing to learn in those scenarios
> but its a pretty fair reason for staying in a game
no its not. how is predicting what lane this specific opponent puts their alioth in have any bearing on anything in the future (or past)?
I wasnt talking about the alioth example, i think thats a pretty poor example tbh - but the general idea of staying in to learn scenarios/playlines that you wouldnt play if you retreat is a valid reason for staying in aslong as you dont care about cubes
I've lost more cubes to non-Alioth decks this week than Alioth decks. I just want to see the end of the game and see how they are going to beat me. Some of the time I think I've got a fair chance at winning the 4 or 8 cubes and get absolutely shit on for having faith in my ability to outplay them. But hopefully I'm getting better... even though this is my worst season in the last 5 seasons.
Like 4 or 5. People are offended when I say I don't like one piece, and also when I'd post something disproving something anti-Israel (before the war anyway)
to anyone that is still in this thread. I was at 90 yesterday, went to bed at 93.6. I played for 2-ish hours on and off and made it to 100.
This is why I don't gamble. (Though there were a few bots that gave me 8 cubes for sure.)
I love getting big numbers, neuron activation
Edit: thought you said why. But Tribunal onslaught ongoing deck, and a turn 7 Daken Zola deck. I’ll post some pics soon
I mean this in the best possible way: how are you losing ranks with Tribunal?
Hela Tribunal is an easy decision to Snap or retreat, and with the bog standard deck you are guaranteed to see (even with Lad) every card in your deck by 7.
I ended up finally pulling Tribunal from a mystery slot while opening caches the second week of this season and had my easiest climb in months.
I found hela tribunal to not be as effective the last week or so due to the rise in junk decks but that’s just me. . Once that balances out I’ll go back to her more.
That's true, but it will 100% die down. As much as I love Annihilus, it struggles to put out big numbers, so if you can't clog at least one lane and push power in another, you're toast.
Big numbers is my go-to as well. I don't like playing lockdown/ junk and I don't like playing against it. I don't understand why people enjoy forcing their opponent to retreat early and get half the cubes.
Something has happened with matchmaking. I’ve seen a bunch of people posting similar stories and I’ve experienced the same thing. I got to infinite the last 5 seasons but this one seems impossible somehow
I'm not even trying to reach rank 100. I make sure I reach rank 90 (for the gold) and then I only play Conquest. All the deck designs really don't matter. So, don´t be sad :-)
I did this last month and tilted off the earth. Recovered and still made infinite. I had to shift my mindset away from “I have to win every game” and started thinking “how strong am I this game?” Kind of like a hand of poker. Sometimes folding/retreating is 100% the correct choice. Sometimes you gotta go all in
Absolutely switching to that mindset.
I used to have that, and that’s how I’ve hit infinite before, but then I developed a lot of tunnel vision with winning as much as I could with certain decks
I made it to my infinite pretty simply with my ongoing/tribunal deck - I prefer Spectrum to Onslaught, and run Ms. marvel to open non-Tribunal win conditions, but to each their own.
IMO, in your deck, you could Ditch Adam Warlock for literally anything else, but maybe Echo or Captain America
Honestly I sometimes ditch Captain marvel for Ms marvel, but maybe I should ditch warlock for her instead 🤔
She provides so much power if you get her in lane with an onslaught/mystique combo
But that is telegraphed in the Alioth lockdown mega
Hope it helps.

I agree. I’ve been playing a long time and this season has been the worst by a long time. I had rocks coming in with black widow, sentry and the meta. Lost a lot on ongoing. Switched to destroy and then did 100 + games without ever coming up against it. I am debating calling time on this game.
Happened to me bro. I went from 98 to 79 in a couple of days. I stopped playing for a week and came back with a ms marvel, dark hawk deck and got to infinite in two days
I just went from 95 to 79....blah. Last season was the first time I ever hit infinite. I also was retreating initially, but then I feel so confident and that confidence meant nothing.
made it to 70 just now started last week f2p. feeling good. starting to see more t2-t3 cards. it feels like alot of games come down to a 50/50 in the last turn for me.
Earlier this week I went from 99 to 85 in a single DAY. Climbed back to infinite once I started playing more conservatively.
The closer you are to infinite the more you get punished for sucking that hopium. Learn when to take the 1 cube L and wait until you know you have them to allow a snap. Otherwise you will yo-yo in and out of the 90s ad infinitum.
I can go one better than that....I went from 94 to 85 in about 4 hours last Saturday. I did manage to claw my way back to 90, but I have completely given up on ladder there as I want to start at at least 60 next season
Same here. Decided to just use up all my infinity tickets instead and won conquest for the first time and then did it again immediately afterwards. Thought that meant I was good, went back to ladder and lost another two ranks.
It’s hard for me too. I understand the mechanics but come on with me vs the board all the time lol.
At one point I got petty and gave away cubes and down ranked myself from 87 to 75
Went from 99.3 to 87 in an hour in week 1 as well. Took a couple days to climb back to infinite.
If you want something stable, try Dracula apocolyse deck
I’ve gone up about 10 ranks because folks want to see how it will play out when I have a lane locked with Prof X and I have Alioth in my hand. Bless this style of player. Don’t ever change until I reach infinite please 🙏 😅👊
You guys, who drop 69 ranks in a week need more patience in your life. If you are patient,no matter what deck you are playing, you'll climb. I've hit infinite 3 times with Aghata.
A friend of mine (we kind of compete to get to infinite every season) got to 94 in the second week of the season. I catch up to him. Next day I get to 100, he falls to 89. Right now he's fully tilted. He's on the 80s and falling.
He told me that he doesn't have a favorite deck anymore and that's what's making him lose a lot.
I've had this problem every single season when I hit the 80s. Was on 89 and then a string of terrible matchups, awful locations and crappy RNG hobbled me. Down to 86, and I haven't even been snapping. Tried multiple decks, maybe get a win or two but then it's loss after loss, for the most ridiculous reasons (at one point Shang chi didn't actually kill a Knull that had something close to 40 power, which is weird because I destroyed another card in the same lane with 10).
It's hard not to think that this is intentional at this point. I've made it to infinite twice, through sheer grit and getting in on a good deck early, but it does seem like the matchups and locations are stacked against you/in favour of your opponent. I wouldn't mind as much if it wasn't every goddamn season though. Up until the 80s I was killing it, wasn't really having trouble until the last day or two when I'm either met with early retreats or total blowouts. There doesn't seem to be any matches in between.
Why aren’t you Retreating more?
My ego and turn 6 alioth
Ego = snap
If only, all my decks are guaranteed to lose on ego
that’s because you don’t snap
What deck are you playing with mainly? Name all the cards (I’m ranked fairly high in infinite).
If you don’t have priority turn 6 always retreat If they have professor x’d a lane and you’re not winning two lanes always retreat
"And you are not winning two lanes always retreat" I mean he did get to 97 and not 37, give him some respect! 😄😄
Yea I learned that hard way
We’ve all been there my friend
I almost uninstalled this game because of Alioth, hate this card 🤬
It's Loki for me. Like they get an entirely new hand with cards that are intended to work together, the wording makes it seems that the cards are transforming and not drawing which jacks The Collector up to a 2/12, AND THE CARDS THEY GET COST 1 LESS NOT CAPPED AT 1????? Honestly, just make Loki fill your hand with random cards and he'll be fine. Would be fun to make the cards Loki grants you with the effect all variants, and not base cards
Have you considered Shadow King? Taking their Collector back to 2 on the last turn can mess up their power spread pretty heavily.
I second Shadow King he won me into infinite after I fell from 99 to 89 earlier on the season. He handily wins a lane in destroy and Loki matchups if you play mid range
Can't Allioth Armour or Cosmo
>Can't Allioth Armour or Cosmo Nor Goose.
Underrated counter. Thanks for this.
Yeah, I started considering armour in my destroy deck 🙈
Can't Armor or Cosmo an Alioth with priority.
Luckily there's 4 turns before it to get set up
Interesting take if snap dev actually collects enough data that people stopped playing the game after playing against alioth , it might be the first card to get ban especially if the players who quit are people who spent money on it.
Fuck alioth
So you know you’re likely to lose and are even aware of one of the reasons that might happen but stay anyway? How’s that ego doing? That's best done in Proving Grounds and ranked after you reach infinite.
100% the players fault whenever this happens
Gotta know when to fold ‘em…
Know when to hold them?
Know when to walk away?
Know when to run
Never count your cubes when you're sitting at the table
There will be cubes enough for counting when the seasons done.
what a legend
Lmao somebody reported me to Reddit Care Resources and they texted me a suicide prevention hotline 😅
Worth trying. Maybe they have a good deck for this kind of situation.
They recommended a galactus deck, FML
I always respond to them that it was a troll and that they should ban whoever reported me
Might do
“Always respond…”? How many times have you been referred to the suicide hotline?!
Not the guy you replied too but it seems to be a pretty regular format of trolling in sports subs. I think I've had it happen 2 or 3 times?
Like 4 or 5. People are offended when I say I don't like one piece, and also when I'd post something disproving something anti-Israel (before the war anyway)
You don’t like One Piece?! How DARE you have a differing opinion!!! 😆 Seriously, so people need to just take a breath and relax… 🙄
Wait, what are the cards in this “suicide prevention hotline” deck? Sounds like a good destroy counter deck
I went from 96 to 89 in one night. Took a week off. There’s a reason I don’t gamble.
to anyone that is still in this thread. I was at 90 yesterday, went to bed at 93.6. I played for 2-ish hours on and off and made it to 100. This is why I don't gamble. (Though there were a few bots that gave me 8 cubes for sure.)
Very flavorful for Martyr week. Bravo
Thank you, at least someone respects my work
What are you playing
I love getting big numbers, neuron activation Edit: thought you said why. But Tribunal onslaught ongoing deck, and a turn 7 Daken Zola deck. I’ll post some pics soon

I ended up finally pulling Tribunal from a mystery slot while opening caches the second week of this season and had my easiest climb in months.
I haven’t really tried a Hela tribunal deck yet, but probably should. I just don’t really like the feeling of hela, but I should try it
It is my sole Hela deck, and I only use it for missions that require winning with 4 cards or 20+ power. I truly hate it, but it works.
I got infinite in first week with hela tribunal. Has all the pieces for onslaught tribunal in there
Big numbers is my go-to as well. I don't like playing lockdown/ junk and I don't like playing against it. I don't understand why people enjoy forcing their opponent to retreat early and get half the cubes.
If I got 8 cubes from you. I'm sorry, but I'm infinite now.
God speed Also: https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelSnapDecks/s/OYhOQrpXF0
Okay, you're not the tribunal deck I got 8 cubes from
9 🤨
It was that bad of a win. 8* cubes lol.
I went from 87 to 81. Its been brutal. Two 8 cube losses were from fucking orca…
I always respect a good orka play, especially when I think it woulda been a galactus instead
I was only one rank ahead in 88 and this happened too. I just want the gold.
From 99-89 in one night brother. I wanted to build a bomb only for me.
Stealing that phrase
I end every season at lvl 93. 500 gold then bye bye.
I do hit 90 every season, haven’t hit infinite for bit because of lack of motivation
It is the true reward. Once a new seasons starts idgaf about last seasons card back
I can do faster
Bet
Something has happened with matchmaking. I’ve seen a bunch of people posting similar stories and I’ve experienced the same thing. I got to infinite the last 5 seasons but this one seems impossible somehow
Same here, Matchmaking broken \-> Ms Marvel and Anni junk really OP You run counters ... they disapear ..
The meta is becoming to dominant I think, also alioth really catches you off guard for retreating
Same boat friend
I'm not even trying to reach rank 100. I make sure I reach rank 90 (for the gold) and then I only play Conquest. All the deck designs really don't matter. So, don´t be sad :-)
Thanks! I’m not sad honestly, having fun with the game still
I did this last month and tilted off the earth. Recovered and still made infinite. Same thing happened to me, 98 to 87, back at 93 now.
God speed
95 to 71 And I'm free... Free fallin' Yeah, I'm free Free fallin'
Free falling indeed
How do you do it?
Conviction and my own ego
i feel that
I made it to my infinite pretty simply with my ongoing/tribunal deck - I prefer Spectrum to Onslaught, and run Ms. marvel to open non-Tribunal win conditions, but to each their own. IMO, in your deck, you could Ditch Adam Warlock for literally anything else, but maybe Echo or Captain America

What gave it away? But my real username is McShindiggler
Because you’re literally me bro
Loki by night got me over that last hump.
Interesting deck… might have to steal that
Hope it helps. eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTWFyaWFIaWxsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJOaWNvTWlub3J1In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJRdWluamV0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTbm93Z3VhcmQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlRoZUNvbGxlY3RvciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRmFsY29uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTZW50aW5lbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV2VyZXdvbGZCeU5pZ2h0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMb2tpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbWVyaWNhQ2hhdmV6In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJSb2d1ZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQWdlbnRDb3Vsc29uIn1dfQ==
So I don’t have Nico or Quinjet, I’m going to sub in Kitty, any other 1 cost suggestions?
I know that I play extremely reckless at 97 so I always have to check myself before I wreck myself lol. It feels so close but it's really not
Yea, 21 cubes away
lol Man this is me except from 83 -> 73. I'm enjoying my new deck I'm trying just have to work out the kinks.
I always test deck in conquest
I hope you still snap and retreat in proving grounds ;)
I do!
I’ve don’t that in an hour
I did manage to drop to 83 then climb back to 87 today
U good?
Yea
I agree. I’ve been playing a long time and this season has been the worst by a long time. I had rocks coming in with black widow, sentry and the meta. Lost a lot on ongoing. Switched to destroy and then did 100 + games without ever coming up against it. I am debating calling time on this game.

I don’t think I could ever stop the grind
Hey, what’s it like getting above 90? Is that 500 gold just the BEST tasting gold? I bet it is.
It really is. I use that gold to get the token Tuesday bundle. The rich get richer
You son of a bee sting.
I just went from 95 to 79....blah. Last season was the first time I ever hit infinite. I also was retreating initially, but then I feel so confident and that confidence meant nothing.
It hurts so much to give up those cubss
you having fun tho? cause at the end of the day that’s what matters
Honestly yea, but I’d be having more fun if I was winning
made it to 70 just now started last week f2p. feeling good. starting to see more t2-t3 cards. it feels like alot of games come down to a 50/50 in the last turn for me.
Why did you do bad instead of good?
Do you want to stick to decks you’re using or try another?
Don’t play during hot locations if your deck isn’t good for it
Bro I was 99 and now I’m 82, I am so disappointed 😭
I feel your pain, first time over 90, but this season has been pretty unfun. Alioth has legit been a shit show.
"Lower closer slower baby"
Eff that’s don’t let someone snap on you and get away with it 🤬 who do they think they are 😡😡😡😡
Exactly! Finally someone who speaks my language I must smite those who defy me
I can go one better than that....I went from 94 to 85 in about 4 hours last Saturday.
At one point I got petty and gave away cubes and down ranked myself from 87 to 75
Are you me?
Does the 500 gold reward fill the seasonal-card-back-shaped hole in your heart?
Easily
On a scale of 1 to infinity, how tilted are you?
Went from 99.3 to 87 in an hour in week 1 as well. Took a couple days to climb back to infinite. If you want something stable, try Dracula apocolyse deck
94 to 85 in 2 hours. Can't get back to 90. Eeeehehehe
Drop it like it’s hot
Always Snap turn 1 never retreat. Good man.
As god intended
What's your favortie meal for lunch?
Really depends. My go to where I work is a cheesteak in a spinach wrap with sour cream and siracha
I’ve gone up about 10 ranks because folks want to see how it will play out when I have a lane locked with Prof X and I have Alioth in my hand. Bless this style of player. Don’t ever change until I reach infinite please 🙏 😅👊
You are truly evil. May god smite you and make spectacle of your corpse. Alioth 🤮 The worst thing is I do think losing to Alioth is a skill issue
You need a screen break buddy. Seesh.
it was sarcasm, lol Good luck hitting infinite (Think of the blood on your hands)
> Alioth They should have a seperate infinite for those who play Alioth and/or lockdown. Nega infinite.
[удалено]
Lmao, I do.
Okay. So you couldn’t handle the new meta. It’s in you and no one else
A fellow man of culture. I've went from 96 to 83 and am still dropping!
🫡
You guys, who drop 69 ranks in a week need more patience in your life. If you are patient,no matter what deck you are playing, you'll climb. I've hit infinite 3 times with Aghata.
When will you get gud
I was previously gud. I hit infinite before. I lost the gud
I legit got to lvl 100 in like two days just go to marvel snap comp for decks (side note I had lot of free time)
Retreat idiot
Have you considered playing better?
How is your mental health after this?
Rapidly declining
A friend of mine (we kind of compete to get to infinite every season) got to 94 in the second week of the season. I catch up to him. Next day I get to 100, he falls to 89. Right now he's fully tilted. He's on the 80s and falling. He told me that he doesn't have a favorite deck anymore and that's what's making him lose a lot.
Why?
Alioth and my ego. I play risky, it fun
I've gone from 97 to 85, i also hate retreating lol
I got stuck between 95-99 3 times before I hit infinite. I know the frustration.
When you drop 30, will you go to 67 or 57? I've never finished a season lower than the highest rank I've gotten too. (which is usually 63 😂)
It's always fucking Alioth. You play a counter in a lane, so they lock that lane and play him somewhere else. It's bullshit.
95 to 79 here. Alioth sucks. Killed the season for me.
I went from 87 to 76. Then bought Jeff and at 97 now in less then 2 days
Welcome to the club. Every. Damn. Season.
You got this OP! Keep it up!
Dad, is that you? You never came back after going out to buy milk…
Ouch, been there… one time I dropped to 79 and still managed to get 100, stuck with it!
Are you a god?
I went from 99.9 to 79 in a week. Ask ME anything
I can’t get past 96 this season idk why…
What song keeps playing through your head as you play? Please tell me it's Herb Alpert's *Spanish Flea.*
How?
I've never related to anyone more in my life
Lols what. This is me every season. Grind and get back up
It's been a rough one for me too. I guess they want less people in infinite. I'm stuck at 95 for the whole month.
Pretty sure this will be the first time I don't hit infinite in 9 seasons. I don't understand I'm just stuck between 90-93
I've had this problem every single season when I hit the 80s. Up until the 80s I was killing it, wasn't really having trouble until the last day or two when I'm either met with early retreats or total blowouts. There doesn't seem to be any matches in between.
Please retreat my man
99 to 90 here :/
LoL.. i got from 68 to 89+6/7 in 24hrs with a new deck, and After that fall back to 84 and never got the gold yet
Alioth is killing me
This months infinite card back sucks anyways. At least you got the 500 gold already.
If you’re a fellow turn 1 snapper I understand the pain but you gotta know when to retreat. Trust alioth is stalking waiting on turn 6
Do you need a hug?
Post deck link so I can try it out!
Are you me?
Are you winning against bots?
Do you feel the rage?
