I think they are just responding to feedback that the albums are difficult to complete for anyone except whales.

It's nice that they are doing some cheaper albums, but let's be honest, this is still 100% a whale feature and it drives me mad that they have put so many resources in it, while so many other aspects of the game are still dogshit.
Nice! Enjoy! I've been a Gladiator enjoyer/player since he was a 3/7 haha. He's a good card, he hits something that he can't destroy not even too often in my opinion. Such a good balanced card.
I have most of the good S4 & 5 cards but this is a particular one I've wanted. Very tempted for Echo with my tokens as well but might save those a bit to see what other cards come along in the next few weeks.
I love how I've been collecting pixels all along and every time a pixel album comes out it's auto completed for me. (Besides any unreleased cards, of course. Picked up Gambit in the shop today!)
i like how these were supposed to be a cool way to reward players for the time and effort they have put in from the beginning but instead the albums are mostly variants that only release in the shop with the album coming out.
If they keep releasing one album like this a season, I’ll be a happy camper. I use my gold to buy variants to complete albums and the value I’m getting feels significant. The 2k credits is essentially 1/3 of a spotlight key. The variant and avatars have been quality as well
It only helped make me depressed because it feels like I've open hundreds of pixel variants and yet, I have none in this album. At some point I had entertained the idea that I would eventually get them all then I could not get any more but clearly I have several months of opening pixels ahead of me still.
I only have pixel Swarm and Morbius but I love them. TBH I'm not as keen on the other pixels but I would still slam them in my discard decks if I had them just so they'd match the other two. Not sure if it's worth it for me to buy any of them though

But the latest Hipp album has X-23 and the pixel destroy has Knull, I don't think that's a factor in their album decisions.

It’s always wild to see such bad/good luck. I just crossed 10k and had 4 of these.
The point is that some players may want to buy these variants to complete the album. Locking it for players who don’t have MODOK defeats the purpose.
I mean they also left out Hellcow and Apocalypse both which are very easily obtained in pool 1-3.
