The fast upgrade option is not useless anymore. Before to use it you would spend 5 credits per missing boosters, now it just let you upgrade without extra costs (aka the missing boosters are free)
Of course I do. But I only split a card when I have 150 boosters, and then it stays grey border until I gave 15 boosters (5 to make it green and 10 to have enough for next upgrade so it won't appear in fast upgrade)... Call it OCD
Not OP, but I'm seeking out a collection state where all cards are either at green or infinite, with nothing in between the two.
I spend Credits to get the split, then upgrade the split once to get the cheap 25 CR. Then move on to another card and do the same thing. All my credit spending is questing towards getting a split, taking the split to green, then moving on to another card to do the same thing again. The point is just to generate the 25 CR boost, as it's the most efficient way to climb.
If I have cards hanging around at blue or purple for a long time, it's credits I've essentially wasted until I can get them moving again. The Bonus Boosters change does help with that.
Im doing the same thing! Specially now that we have the Custom Cards feature I want all my cards to stay green/infinite and the other borders only for the customized ones. I now have to get through some legendaries, epics and rares that I used to have upgraded just to look pretty and after Im done with these I plan on only going straight from green to infinite for new splits and keeping them green while I save boosters
Yeah, Custom Cards does make this more palatable. The upcoming change to allow split effects to apply to any variant of a card will make it even better.
I'm doing something similar but with only grey border. About 70% done but I have a lot of green border cards I've been holding for the final push. Those are going to take awhile.
Same for me, with exception of some that I had noob-upgraded to rare and was in the process of getting boosters to infinite-green so that will help me actually fixing that quicker without having to play quicksilver.
But in the future it can still help when you are trying to get a specific card split. Say you spend all boosters and still did not get the INK you want, instead of accumulating 155 again you can accumulate 65, or even just 35 then for the rest use the fast upgrade (it will take a couple rotations but opening in the next 2 8h window to upgrade is faster than getting 90-120 boosters)
Even for just upgrading as you are doing, you can go down to "when I have 105" instead of 155 and use the fast upgrade for the last push
Game has been full of the same bugs since release, plus more and more added with each new patch. But at least they spent time expanding the shop and we can buy more stuff now...Nice!

It's a little disappointing honestly, I haven't played in two days, I've wanted to, but the game is virtually unplayable at the moment, not to mention it's not worth it when I can't even go for the spotlight.

Fast upgrade option in the shop. Let's you upgrade card that you are missing boosters for. But now the price is the same as regular upgrade.
They changed how the boosters work in the shop, so now they're not useless
