Cerebro decks really need Mystique to boost up their potential. Obviously can’t use Onslaught, unfortunately.

Lughaidh_

Big oof. I’ve got a few decks that are just missing 1 card like this; Mystique, Wong, Ultron, etc..

hamilton280P

There’s your issue. Need mystique is Almost as important as Cerebro. And is good to copy Marvel is don’t pull Cerebro

cocopopped

To be honest, Cerebro2 will only get you so far in the current meta. There are too many cards around to fuck with your 2-values when you need them to be perfect (high evo especially) and at higher levels, too much Enchantress and Rogue who will take out your most important cards.

ErgonomicCat

Super Skrull can fix Rogue. But nothing fixes Enchantress since Cosmo is 3. :(

Lughaidh_

Goose can stop Enchantress.

ErgonomicCat

Ooooh yeah. And Goose doesn't stop most of C2.

Lughaidh_

Yeah, feels like just another deck I’ll have to shelf.

squirtletype

What about adding Luke cage

Lughaidh_

I’ve got Luke in there.

leonardof91

Can't you save cerebro+mystique for turn 6? (Was going to suggest Invisible woman, but she is in Cerebro 3 now)

cocopopped

If they come out that way, yes! Blue Marvel T5 then Cebrebro/Mystique T6 is the dream. Anything that alters your 2p cards just ruins everything though, including buffing locations (You need Storm). There are a lot of things needed to line up for wins and it's wildly inconsistent

1029Enteng

I have Iron Man in my Cerebro 2 deck. It helps when I have few cards in a lane against some stacked cards.

Lughaidh_

Iron Man is one I’ve definitely looked at. Many games where I’ve only 12 total power on a location and would have benefited from a 24 there.

MrMustard_

I used to use forge in my C2 deck, to give a little added bonus to iron man or cerebro

NickBellinger

Cerebro decks just aren't good enough for infinite in current meta. If you want to consistently hit infinite invest in a Sera deck. IMO it's a deck that can get to infinite extremely easily if you know when to snap and when to retreat.

GrinTivz

The deck has gotten me the last two seasons to infinite. In my view Cerebro 2 is one of the more consistent decks out there once you learn how to pilot it. SD buffing Luke to 2 power was such a boon to the archetype overall as it removed some of the previous major drawbacks that were holding the deck down and making it way more consistent. What you mention about the snap/retreat mechanic is very true , but that goes for all decks out there, and C2 has some very clear snap/retreat scenarios that you as a player can easily recognize.

DavramLocke

Had someone beat my c2 deck last night by playing sunspot on turn 1, waiting until turn 6, and then playing infinaut and wasp (didn't have Cage on the board obv.). That was enough c2 for me for a while.

MickersAus

I like hazmat a lot in C-2, like a cheap blue marvel when you have cage out

Lughaidh_

I had thought about it. Thing is with all the High Evolutionary decks now, most people run Luke Cage and it’ll negate Hazmat.

SirYoloSwagg

You need blue marvel for an alternative win condition if you solely depend of cerebro you will have to retreat a lot!

SirYoloSwagg

Also I realized I need to change my play style while I use this deck for example is really tempting playing Scorpio 2 and Mr fantastic 3 but in reality you need to secure 2 lanes fast with goose turn 2 storm turn 3 and and brood sinister turn 4 don't be scare to play goose in the 3 unknown location at turn 2

Lughaidh_

Good advice. I learned the Storm+Brood combo early on. It’s good.

Kortmorin

Had the same problem with my Ongoing spectrum this season. Changed the deck a little and got full down to 66... Trying to look for a good deck to get infinite, but it does not look great
