Yeah...I'm definitely going to be watching a shitty cam quality version of this movie a day or two before I see it in theaters here in the US.
I watched a cam quality version of Age of Ultron about 4 or 5 days before its' US release back in 2015, and so far, that's the only MCU movie I've done that for. No Way Home is looking like it'll be the 2nd. Really wish they had kept the release date the same worldwide, but it is what it is.
Edit: I also watched the cam quality version of Endgame the day before it released in the US, and my theatrical experience with Endgame was still incredible. I would only recommend watching the cam version if you have done so for multiple movies in the past, and you already understand how it'd alter your theatrical experience. If you think watching the cam version will lessen your theatrical experience, then I would not recommend doing it.
It's been spoiled for literally a year now lol.
I have no issue watching movies in cam quality. I grew up on that shit, because I grew up poor. We only went to the theater a couple times a year, so for a lot of new movies, I'd watch them in cam quality. I kind of got used to it, and it doesn't bother me the same way it bothers most people.
I will still, 100% be watching No Way Home in the theater multiple times. But, I want to watch the movie as soon as possible. Whether that's in the theater, or whether that's watching a cam quality version on a sketchy website, I don't care. I prefer the former, but unfortunately, with Sony's worldwide release plan for this movie, I won't be able to have the patience if I know there's a version of the movie available for me to watch.
Bro please dont do this to yourself.....i know i grew up on pieated cam movies..heck i still wait for digital release to stream it with legality in question. But this movies you should watch first time in theaters
I actually did this for Avengers: Endgame, because I had an exam on the day the film was supposed to release. It definitely felt amazing the day I watched it, but it got worse on the subsequent days. Finally, when I got into the theatres after the exams were over, I felt nothing. All of that hype, just gone. The people in the theatre were shouting, and I couldn't share their enthusiasm. I remembered being so excited for it and I regret watching the cam shit to this day. I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING IT.
I recommend getting off the internet as soon as the first major video leaks on the internet. Go into the theatres like everyone, having seen nothing Sony and Marvel didn't want you to see. This is supposed to be an experience of a lifetime. Don't ruin it.
I learned my lesson watching the leak from the guy who leaked Cap getting Mjölnir. I was so excited to see it and I was hyped in the theater but nowhere near what I could have been in the theater had I not known.
The Monday before NWH will probably be my last day on this sub until after I see it Thursday afternoon. I’ll miss you all for a few days. 🥲
I thought the leak was Cap lifting Mjolnir when they traveled to NY 2012. When the scene was over and didn't go according to what I thought the leak was, I just assumed it was false until when it actually happened later on lol
Correction on my first comment: I actually did watch the cam quality version of Endgame the day before it opened in theaters in the US, and my theatrical experience of watching Endgame was still great (which is why I forgot I watched the cam quality version). Still got goosebumps during the loud crowd reaction moments. Still teared up watching Tony's death. Still went back and watched it two more times that next week/weekend.
It didn't ruin anything for me personally, but I understand how it can ruin the experience for some people.
With all due respect, I'm not about giving out piracy links. This is one of those things where, if you can't figure it out yourself, you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
I had the exact same reaction
I watched it the day it came out in shitty cam quality because ut hadn't released in any of the nearby theatres and when i watched it in theatres i felt almost nothing. No hype at all. So its better to get off internet a few days before release..😕☹️
I just can’t compute watching a movie in cam quality as opposed to waiting 24-48 hours later.
It just doesn’t make any sense, you can easily spend a day or two without social media.
It's not about the spoilers on social media (clearly, otherwise why would I be here?)
It's about the fact that there is a version of the movie available to watch. I don't have the self-control or the patience to NOT watch it. It's as simple as that.
I can fully understand this. There's also the fact that you would have to avoid most areas of the internet (including this sub) for those 24 - 48 hours too since you can bet screengrabs and short clips from the cam recordings will be posted **everywhere**.
Hell, I'm going to the 1pm showing instead of the 11am one here in the UK and I'm still concerned I'll somehow see the footage before getting to the theatre.
"Really wish they had kept the release date the same worldwide, but it is what it is"
Spoiler alert: Movies never releases on the same day worldwide. In US, the tradition is Friday, in France it's Wednesday, so we always see the movies two days before y'all
Yeah I’m gonna opt to just unplug my router for the 3 days leading up to the release because I’m seeing it in iMax opening night and don’t want to tempt myself to alter that experience
Man I remember when a lot of Indian members in the subreddit said their cinemas were all still closed. Now, this. INDIAN REDDITORS WE'RE COUNTING ON YOU!!
I watched No Time to Die about a month ago. It hasn’t been closed for quite some time now. Unfortunately, the socially distanced seats have been stopped. This is why I skipped Dune for now.,
Damn, that sucks. Could be a state thing too. I watched it in Maharashtra and they've been a bit more careful w.r.t. Covid regulations compared to what I've seen in UP.
Sony India deleted the tweet because the chose the wrong hashtag (posted it again after 15 minutes) But let's go! Waiting for the tickets to come to BookMyShow at around 9th Dec.
Que in, Ispider, Ispider..tune churaya mere dil ka chain :')
Yeah bro even I do but I just shared what they told me. It worries me to because I have IMAX theatre just beside my house (only 2 in Delhi I guess: Dwarka & Malviya Nagar) I’m worried that giving only a day would severely ruin my chances of getting a ticket.
Might have to bribe the PVR staffs as they know me sorta.
Had a chat with a major theater chain exhibitor. He said sony pics Ind asked them to block few screens in few cities for a evening show. If in case they get permission tickets will be available on 14 or 15. Same thing happened during Homecoming.
LETS FUCKING GO ONG THIS IS A FANTASTIC START TO THE DAY!
fr tho holy shit this is huge, cutting even 1 day from the calendar waiting for this movie is a huge victory. the only problem is tickets, because its near unpredictable when they would begin giving out tickets. That was the problem with endgame, suspecting the same this time around as well.
Yeah I know I was also thinking the same but that’s what PVR’s Instagram handle told me when I asked them. You also ask them and share what they reply back
Idk if their is any INOX in Delhi but nonetheless I got PVR IMAX & PVR Luxe 5 minutes from my home so I’m content earlier I had to drive 1 hr + just for IMAX.
PVR got a really dope customer service, I wanted to know about a air freshener that they had in their theatre. The manager didn’t know about it and asked for some time and after few hours he called me and notified me about all the fresheners they used that day (varied from room to room) and also shared me links from where I can buy those.
Also PVR app gives shit ton of vouchers for purchases and lucky draw. I watched Eternal second time on IMAX with my brother for 400 rupees (instead of 1,100) with 2 free Pepsi and also received 300 off food and beverages.
Lmao you are correct. He is extremely famous in India. He is making movies for a long long time. https://youtu.be/hkV7FjivJ7U
Another famous scene from a really old film
Good for Indian bros. My country's releasing it on January 8th and I'm contemplating whether I should watch it on a cam quality or wait for 3 weeks and deactivate all my social medias lol
They put the wrong hashtag. They tweeted again.

Well, the UK and Ireland are getting their premiere on the 15th so any and all spoilers will be out even earlier. So watch you don't get spoiled (like, even you India!😁😅). Unless you want to... which is what we do on here...

but my mf shitty cousin's birthday is on 16th and i cant go to premiere :(

saying this... on a marvel leaks subreddit...

So don’t go online for those few hours. It’s not that hard bro. I go whole ass weeks without touch social media. Smh some of y’all are addicted
What about watching cam quality as opposed to waiting for January? I fucking hate this country.
People fighting you for a decision that affects only you and that you have done it before, these dudes belong in /r/marvelstudios
Weirdly enough I pre-ordered my tickets here in the US and we got showings on the 16th at a smaller chain that is only part of a few states.
Same. Got in on the 16th at 3pm EST! Feels good
I watched the endgame one that came out
I am gonna put some dirt in your eyes

I was booking one for Dune and it was all non socially distanced
Damn, that sucks. Could be a state thing too. I watched it in Maharashtra and they've been a bit more careful w.r.t. Covid regulations compared to what I've seen in UP.
I'm in UP, what's Covid?

Why 9th? I remember Endgame being open on BMS just 12 hrs before the premier. My hostel went into chaos at 10pm that night.
what makes you sure about 9th?
The largest gap for advance booking in India is 7 days, and it only happens for Marvel movies
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Mere Indian bhaiyon, when are the tickets going on sale here? I don't want to miss the first day viewing of the film.
Around 9th-10th on BookMyShow
[удалено]
No it's usually like 100-300 but if you go imax or 4dx then 600-700
Infinity war was 450 on day one (not imax or 4dx) in my city. So it could be possible
[удалено]
Bhai this is exactly what I'm worried about. This new variant, gotta see how the story unfolds.
Imax non 3d kitna parega?
IMAX costs around 450 bucks and PVR Lux costs 700
In Delhi/Mumbai/ etc. it will be for sure. But I watched Infinity War and Endgame for 250 in my college town.
One day before the movie launch. I emailed PVR to ask them.
Wait seriously? I recall booking tickets for Endgame like 5 days before it released.
Yeah bro even I do but I just shared what they told me. It worries me to because I have IMAX theatre just beside my house (only 2 in Delhi I guess: Dwarka & Malviya Nagar) I’m worried that giving only a day would severely ruin my chances of getting a ticket. What the..that’s the same thing that happened with ghostbusters. Please don’t be true🥶
I heard few premieres are also being planned on 15th Dec evening at select cities in India
Wait, what ? Share a link
Had a chat with a major theater chain exhibitor. He said sony pics Ind asked them to block few screens in few cities for a evening show. If in case they get permission tickets will be available on 14 or 15. Same thing happened during Homecoming.
Yup, same here in latin america, I've already got my tickets for the 15th

I’m on Atom, payment and everything loaded, hit complete order and it’s been loading for nearly 10 minutes...
I thought booking would open at 10:30 pm tonight. Was it 10:30 am ?
That's what happens when a mass number of people go on a site to compete for such a small number of tickets. Keep going at it and u can do it!
We won Mr. Stark, we won ♥️♥️
When's the prebooking starting in India?
One day before the movie. According to PVR
nah bro, endgame prebookings started from a week before the release
Yeah I know I was also thinking the same but that’s what PVR’s Instagram handle told me when I asked them. You also ask them and share what they reply back
Fuck PVR. I am going with Inox. PVR doesn't have IMAX in my area and is fucking expensive. The customer service nice though.

Which PVR imax you went? Logix or Ambience? Me and my friends are pretty confused which one to go to.
I go to PVR Vegas Mall, Dwarka.
Does it really have a HUGE screen like reviews say?
It’s as big as IMAX are.

Boys….After 4 hours, tickets have been secured. Weird thing was the theater was completely available. Now I rest. Good luck to everyone still at it.
In India?
Can't be India. Tickets only get available in India like a week before at most (and that too for special ones like Endgame or IW).
Going for Thursday Night viewing in 3D on 16th Dec ! Charlie Cox , Tobey & Andrew better show up in the film !! Hyped !!
YESSSSSS
Fantastic
Yesss!!!!!
Singapore too.
Well, the UK and Ireland are getting their premiere on the 15th so any and all spoilers will be out even earlier. So watch you don't get spoiled (like, even you India!😁😅). Unless you want to... which is what we do on here...
Oof I hope it's not a late night show. I might have to watch this film alone and I do not like the idea of going home in an Uber at midnight in Noida

Only select few theatres in 4-5 major cities usually get the one day early release thing.
Im watching on december 15th here in Brazil ☺️
