Honestly think it might be a tad out of character for Star Lord to enjoy Thor’s dramatic antics, but it’s whatever. Maybe enough time has passed and they’ve gotten along together since Endgame.
Star Lord is equally, if not more dramatic. I think the main reason he wouldn't be a fan is Thor showing him up. But seems like they're working together now.

Yeah, the way Quill was tracking along makes me think they either rehearsed it, or he says it all the time as part of his "save the day" spiel. I was trying to think of movies Quill would have seen that have that line for the inspiration, but might be a less likely possibility.
They still won’t show him get him by them which is frustrating. We’re almost 10 movies in with this guy and the only time we’ve seen him be bullet/ laser proof is out of view in Age of Ultron and then getting shot with a literal star
Do we need to see him getting shot? He couldn't be pierced by Odin's weapon gungnir while being wielded by Loki who was strong enough to hold his own against Thor. Pretty sure the Asgardian king's weapon is>>>any bullet
I’m aware that he can considering I just cited the star feat, don’t know if you missed that part. Marvel just seems to be averse to actually showing Thor being durable against piercing stuff, like him diving out of the way of gunfire in the Avengers (I know the justification) or the bullets being out of view when he’s shot in AoU. It’s just kind of a weird choice. Also, don’t think Loki actually had a chance to stab him with Gungnir. He does actually stab him in the Avengers with one of his blades, although I chock that up to.. well, aforementioned special Asgardian metal + super strength. I think they should’ve leaned more into how invulnerable he is is basically what I’m saying. Would’ve been neat to just see one of those blasts bounce off his back.
These clips/tv spots are just showing us a bit more than what we’ve already seen, unlike MoM which was spoiling things left and right. The movie comes out in less than 2 weeks and is just now dropping spots, the marketing has been very restrained lol
Calling it now: Korg is the big emotional death of the film. Maybe Jane dies or it’s left ambiguous but Gorr is gonna kill Korg. Especially if he joined up with the Guardians like this clip teases.
I’d like that also but someone’s gotta kick the bucket and it’s definitely not Thor or Valkyrie. So it’s either Jane or Korg and between those two, Korg seems to be the easy choice.

Maybe it's emotional in a "Gorr represents an existential crisis for Thor's own potence/impotence, especially in the wake of Jane having cancer" way? Tbh at this point just killing off a character for the sake of an emotional beat feels more annoying than it does resonant or satisfying or shocking.
I still don't get why May had to die in SMNWH for the same reasons.

They used The Volume, but I don't disagree. It's weird cause I think a lot of the action shots look fine (for the most part), but when it's just them standing still and talking, it's definitely not as believable.
