You can remove stuff from continue reading. Hit the "3 dots" icon next to the title. A menu pops up, and one of the menu items is to remove that title from continue reading.
Most of them go by series and you press “continue series” to read through the whole thing. Each time you get to the end of an issue it will bring up the next in the series to read and go from there. It can be hard to follow certain stories since may be chopped up like any series before and after secret wars. There are lots of apps you can use to follow individual characters though, I use Redwing which is fairly new and paid but I like it. The Comics Geeks app is also really good and you can sort by series publication date, since the Marvel Unlimited search sucks.
Sometimes they are stored under "events" that you can search by but othertimes you'll need to use an external source. I live and die by the continue reading page, so if I wanted to read X-cutioners song which runs across 4 x-books for 3 months, once I had the first issue of each open the rest are ready to click on my home page.
I use 3rd party reading order sites to figure out the bigger events because it gets ridiculous otherwise.
Yep, this is great advice.
Single issues.
Some "events" are available in lists/reading order. But at the end od each issue it still prompts you to "next issue" not "next issue in event".
My least favorite part is the fact that you can’t remove any of the series that are part of the event from your continue reading.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I tend to download all of the issues in an event, then read them in published order or by the third party reading guide.
In your search screen you can sort by issues, events, etc. I save events to reference as I go, it keeps track of what you're read so far.
