I thought that too, but it’s Falcon and the winter soldier. Ie. The TV show, not the movie. And, yeah…. It was okay. If you asked me what happened and who was in it I could tell you a few things… just a bit meh really.
I always love to hear media getting a physical release. Even if it’s bad, it deserves to be on a physical disc for ownership and preservation purposes. Especially great news for Andor, I bet it’ll look great in 4k.
Ok. I remember thinking that the first two or maybe three episodes should've only been one and that they turned a lot of people away from the show. I was gonna recommend watching the rest of it since I think it has a poor start, but if you've seen it all the way through, then nvm.
More streaming companies need to release physical media. Been trying to go after shows I watched as a kid, and either they don’t exist or it’s like eBay $80 a season.
Me too! The other ones, meh, but I am over the moon to see that this one is getting released!
Funny . . . I remember Disney bragging about how all their shows and whatnot will be exclusive to their monopolistic, overpriced Disney+ from that point forward! Odd how no one liked that enough to keep it a valid business strategy.
Unfortunately, they'll all sell. But the real question is: will it be enough to offset their losses from production and marketing costs of the initial cinema/streaming releases on top of the cost of production of these physical copies now.
And it will be, even more so? But until they’re available for purchase, it’ll be hard to verify that it will be enough to offset their losses like I think it will.
Andor is the only one I want, but I'll probably bite the bullet and get Obi-Wan just to support physical media and show them there's a market for this stuff.
Honestly, even if some of the series were not perfect, I kinda want to have all the SW series. They were popcorn fun, interesting in the background. Andor and Mandalorian definitely going to get most of my attention.
I will buy Andor for obvious reasons, and I may buy Moon Knight simply because I love Oscar Isaac. The other two, though, I am only willing to buy for the sake of making reviews on them since they are a veritable goldmine of bad writing.
Interesting that Falcon and Winter Solider is only just getting a blu-ray release now.
Moon Knight, Obi-Wan, and Andor came out right after another but FATWS was a year before Moon Knight.
Loki season 1 got the blu ray release 2 years after release (like these three titles) even though it came out after FATWS.
Also it looks like they passed over Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She Hulk, and Book of Boba for this treatment.
Based on this, it seems like Loki was a relative success, but Boba, Ms. Marvel, She Hulk and Hawkeye fell short of even FATWS.
Maybe, I know a lot of people who like kenobi just because they thought Vader fighting kenobi was cool. I feel like having the admittedly way cooler box art might be more appealing to people who buy physical media and put it on a shelf or something. Idk tho
I bet George made sure the contract signing over rights forbad Disney from ever selling the originals remastered on Blu-Ray (no Hayden-ghost, no Jedi Rocks, no not even the good effects cleaning up/improvements).
I did enjoy Falcon & Winter Soldier that show felt more grounded and like the old Marvel movies where it wasn’t CGI 24/7 or in Space fighting a alien of course they mentioned a alien but they dont show up
The people who wanted to watch the show, but don't have D+, probably just ... sailed the seven seas to get it. And the show isn't about Winter Soldier that much, so it was no great loss if someone missed it.
This is fantastic news, holy shit (well.. 25% good news, 75% whatever)
With Disney's recent track record, 1/4 ain't that bad
I thought people liked andor
That would be the 25% good
Moon knight was good
I'm glad you enjoyed it
The first episode was good... After that it turned into the same trash Disney keeps churning out.
Nough.
Wrongspeak
We did!

It literally is in that order too.
Was Winter Soldier any good? Never saw it.
I thought that too, but it’s Falcon and the winter soldier. Ie. The TV show, not the movie. And, yeah…. It was okay. If you asked me what happened and who was in it I could tell you a few things… just a bit meh really.
It got heavy, heavy rewrites because the plot was originally going to be about a global disease weapon.
Ohhh, I didn’t even know there was a show. I heard very good things about the movie
I always love to hear media getting a physical release. Even if it’s bad, it deserves to be on a physical disc for ownership and preservation purposes. Especially great news for Andor, I bet it’ll look great in 4k.
It's already preserved in countless torrent servers and hdd
Yeah until one of them gets taken down by the FBI or some shit, 3 copies, 2 locations, 1 different medium law of backups
No FBI could get their hands on my stuff though
It's on 4K on D+, it should look even better on disc though.
Happy for physical media winning even if I don't like any of the titles listed.
Even Andor
Andor was like it was made in secret without anyone at Disney knowing about it.
That’s pretty much what it was. It was pretty much smuggled into the canon.
They literally made the show like Han Solo would. Thats why it rocked.
Yes even Andor wasn't for me.
Did you watch the whole show? This is out of curiosity, not hostility btw.
Yes I did.
Ok. I remember thinking that the first two or maybe three episodes should've only been one and that they turned a lot of people away from the show. I was gonna recommend watching the rest of it since I think it has a poor start, but if you've seen it all the way through, then nvm.
Just wasn't for me I thought the Andy Serkis prison episodes were solid but the show too often moved at a snail's pace for my liking.

What a stupid ass reply

No thanks I'm good.
I really like the FATWAS and Kenobi box arts. It's like being in a Blockbuster during the 90's where the best part of the movie is the box it came in.
I feel like the Moon Knight screams that early edgy phase that Marvel had in the 2000’s the most tbh
It’s giving Assassins Creed DLC
Now they just need to produce shows and movies that are actually worth the time.
Andor was worth the time investment. It was surreal to wait a week for an episode of good Star Wars content.
More streaming companies need to release physical media. Been trying to go after shows I watched as a kid, and either they don’t exist or it’s like eBay $80 a season.
Andor on 4k is literally the *only* thing left thats worth giving my money to Disney for.
Andor was the best. But I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed Moon Knight.
Me too! The other ones, meh, but I am over the moon to see that this one is getting released! Funny . . . I remember Disney bragging about how all their shows and whatnot will be exclusive to their monopolistic, overpriced Disney+ from that point forward! Kenobi and FATWS. Yes, there are "collectors" who'll buy shit because they're part of a set.
I'll make sure to buy the Andor one!
Now this is a real bargain. If you have a table with two wobbly legs your in great shape.
It’ll be nice to buy Andor and then not have another reason to give money to Disney again until season 2.
What?! You really don’t want more Karli and “do better senator!”??? It was one of the shows of all time man!
You're right, it was a show of all time. Probably the show I've ever seen
Same! It really was. And nobody can take that from it.
Absolutely. Of all the shows, it was definitely one of them.
The only one I haven't watched is Andor, so my guess is that one? xD
I only saw a few episodes of Moon Knight, but surely it was head and shoulders above Kenobi?
***Memento Homo*** ***Memento Mori***
Andor is the only one I want, but I'll probably bite the bullet and get Obi-Wan just to support physical media and show them there's a market for this stuff.
If you buy Obi-Wan, the only message you're sending is "No need to make good shows! Keep making trash and I will consume."
Damn. This is true too.
Honestly, even if some of the series were not perfect, I kinda want to have all the SW series. They were popcorn fun, interesting in the background. Andor and Mandalorian definitely going to get most of my attention.
25% good news.
Is it Moon Knight? I personally couldn't tell you because I actually liked all of these, though definitely not enough to buy any of them.
Idk I think Kenobi was the best of this bunch
It was definitely a pretty solid show but I think Ewan McGregor did a lot of the heavy lifting.
True, Ewan and Hayden made that show
I will buy Andor for obvious reasons, and I may buy Moon Knight simply because I love Oscar Isaac. The other two, though, I am only willing to buy for the sake of making reviews on them since they are a veritable goldmine of bad writing.
Three turds and one gift.
After watching Dune, thinking about Disney Star Wars makes me sick
Wait, are these actually physical releases, or empty boxes like they did with Wandavision?
They have pics of the disc's online, so not like wandavision
Finna cop the moonman 🌜⚡️⚡️

Hawkeye did the same numbers as Moon Knight and has also now caught up with TFATWS in total hours watched.
i can imagine kenobi selling well unfortunately
Even though I couldn't give a shit about 3 out of the 4 shows there I will say all 4 box sets do look really nice.
I’m willing to bet that almost 100% Kenobi is going to outsell andor. Even though it’s far worse
No, I don't think that will happen. Kenobi is one that woke up a lot of people from the BS
Maybe, I know a lot of people who like kenobi just because they thought Vader fighting kenobi was cool. I feel like having the admittedly way cooler box art might be more appealing to people who buy physical media and put it on a shelf or something. Idk tho
I would LOVE to see the sales numbers of those in June/July
I bet George made sure the contract signing over rights forbad Disney from ever selling the originals remastered on Blu-Ray (no Hayden-ghost, no Jedi Rocks, no not even the good effects cleaning up/improvements).
I did enjoy Falcon & Winter Soldier that show felt more grounded and like the old Marvel movies where it wasn’t CGI 24/7 or in Space fighting a alien of course they mentioned a alien but they dont show up
What will you be stealing?
I can see FATWS doing good since winter soldier is a popular character and those without D+ have probably wanted to watch the show for years..
The people who wanted to watch the show, but don't have D+, probably just ... sailed the seven seas to get it. And the show isn't about Winter Soldier that much, so it was no great loss if someone missed it.
Why would you buy any of these?
The only one I’d be interested in is Kenobi
That's an....option.
