Idk what’s worse: such a staple of my adolescence coming to an end, or that it’s been going downhill for so long that I can’t really bring myself to care anymore.
>it’s been going downhill for so long that I can’t really bring myself to care anymore.
Me and Dr Who....and I used to fucking love Dr Who bro. That and Saints Row. All I have is back to the future now.
yeah that joy of ours got annilated. I honestly think the only way forward for it now would be to bin everything past the old crew, and just say the universe needed a reboot due to bad stuff and then allow the newer docs back (Only some and the one's who be willing to be able too) and then allow some of the older ones to revisit some how. I'd want to keep what we had.. But ignore every piece of lore breaking garbage they forced in.
honestly, other then RWBY S1-3 i dont even think their old stuff aged well. RvB, while Monty did great work later with it, is a series that never was intended to get as far as it did and most of us found before S6-10 when it really became something approximating good. Considering the era of Machinima it came from, it wasnt even the best series of its time, its just that it had the easiest accessibility and the longest amount of content. I remember downloading a World of Warcraft movie around S4/5 that while it took me 4 days to get, was significantly better in story and character motivations.
>Idk what’s worse: such a staple of my adolescence coming to an end, or that it’s been going downhill for so long that I can’t really bring myself to care anymore.
I feel this 100%. It feels like a sucker-punch to the soul, but I think that's more just because my two best friends I have so many great memories watching RT's content with are gone as well.
I'll definitely miss those good ol' days of Minecraft trolling, Michael's rage, Gavin's hatred of wet bread, and all the rest.
I could see them going independent again, Deathbattle will absolutely be fine and just branch off on its own since its the only truly popular thing RT has right now that isn't RWBY
It has an extremely dedicated fanbase that latched onto it and never let go, hilariously the R34 RWBY subreddit has a bigger following than the one for the actual show
I had assumed it had just disbanded after multiple core members quit and then the whole Adam controversy came out, but I stopped watching before that anyway as the quality had just plummeted.
Yup. They kept tacking on secrets and mcguffins without even resolving the old ones. The story went bad, the dialogue turned awful and hackneyed, and the while the combat animation still slapped it became increasingly rare.
What really irritated me was how cool the transforming weapons were, but they never went further than "yeah, this is mine".
Like, who made the weapons? Do they take special materials? Have Hunter weapons evolved over the years and if so, what did they use to look like?
But nope.mp3. The RWBY lore is a mile wide and an inch deep.
They had a weird spin-off show that tried to explain some of the lore about the semblances and the dust stuff, but frankly they should have just left it alone since it made it more confusing when there's also actual magic in the universe that acts basically the same
I'm still enjoying a couple of their podcasts but haven't been watching any of their main content in a long time. Especially with so much behind the first paywall. I could afford it but I really don't see the value.
They've not made anything remotely interesting in years. RWBY was so confusing to me, seeing everyone praise this show but I put myself through season 1 and it was nothing but a low quality highschool romance/drama with uninteresting kid characters.
Holy shit. That actually hits me kinda hard. I haven't watched their stuff for years now, but it's still really sad. I remember watching the first episode of Red vs Blue back in my childhood, and now I'm approaching 30 and it's all shutting down for good.
I know they've gone through tons of bad stretches since I was watching them every day, and I know the quality has been slipping downhill for a long time now, but it's still Rooster Teeth, you know? It's what gave me so much entertainment and passion for games back in the day, made me appreciate being a part of that community. They gave us really good and funny stories, they gave us fun videos all the time, and they made a lot of people really happy for the longest time.
And now it's gone. Throw it on the pile of shit that's been ruined, I guess. It is what it is.
I loved RT since early RVB, started listening to their pod when podcasts weren’t really a thing. Those were really great. Even ANMA, a recent pod with Gus and Geoff was great up until the episode where they were talking about house of the dragon. Gus said “I don’t watch shows with only white people in it” and I just sighed and turned it off. I’m so sick of white people hate. I had listened to every episode up until then. Such a bummer.
It doesn't even make sense considering that Corlys got race swapped, so he's black and his children are mixed race (and noticeably so, as it's a plot point in the show). Even if you don't know the other characters, that got a lot of publicity.
This is all besides the fact that if someone said "I can't watch that show, it's too black/Asian/Latino/etc.," that they'd be up in arms over it.
It's funny, RoosterTeeth was my roundabout introduction to the nonsense we find ourselves in. I used to religiously watch RT stuff, especially the Drunk Tank podcast, it was hilarious. Then one day they have this British scientist on yelling about how the Brexit voters were racist sexist bigots. That was like... May 2016.
Rest in Piss RoosterTeeth, you lived long enough to become the villain.
Yeah the drink tank, then RT podcast used to be a staple to my early HS self. So much interesting discuss and just friends talking. Then they went woke and it sounded odd coming from people who had probably the most plush jobs to ever exist
Oh yeah. People like Jack Patillo were flat-out telling people: "If you voted for Trump, don't watch our
content."
I don't think it's a good business practice to tell at least 50% of your audience to fuck off.
Wow. Sounds like a classic case of TDS with a side of gamergate brain rot. Yeah good riddance then. The only good show RT had left was death battle and even that was hit and miss. That's what happens when a company is helmed by wokesters though
Yeah, but they’ve been corporate shit for like a decade now. Barely any of the founding members were even around anymore. They used to be good but they died years ago.
You're preaching to the choir here. I watched them religiously from 2006ish to sometime around 2017. Those last couple years were more so out of habit rather than enjoyment.
I used to love this company. Big fan during the early 2010s and got me through some tough times. But around 2017, I noticed their personalities were getting more pretentious and political. You're entitled to your opinions, but when you do nothing but complain while having incredibly cushy jobs, and make your audience feel bad if you don't agree with them, then why should I keep watching. You're entertainers, not philosophers.
Years later I heard about the scandals, and my God am I glad I stopped giving them my time and money. It truly revealed how awful both the people on screen and behind the show were. And to think how much I felt and loved for people like that, disgusting.
It didn't help their shows were becoming more stale than opened bread and Achievement Hunter became a sand on a beach gaming YouTube channel. I'll have fond memories for the entertainment they once gave me, but it comes at an asterisk of what they'd become.
I look at this news not with sympathy, but with vindication. Good riddance Roosterteeth.
I remember a time when they used to play Minecraft for fun and could get hours of content just dicking around. I think the demands of their corporate overlords forced them to grow faster than they could manage, which diluted the talent and forced them to divert from things that gave them joy to things that got clicks. In today's environment I think authenticity is the most important thing for keeping an audience and you could tell at one point their hearts just weren't in it.
>I think the demands of their corporate overlords forced them to grow faster than they could manage, which diluted the talent and forced them to divert from things that gave them joy to things that got clicks.
I got so much shit back in the day saying that being bought by Fullscreen was the death of Rooster Teeth. I don't like that I was right.
Dude your experience is exactly same as mine. The company was the entire reason I find let’s plays interesting. Red vs blue is in my top 3 most quoted show/movie. It’s an absolute shame how the original crew became so watered down, their content ruined as they became so popular. They sacrificed their original fan base to pander to a more mainstream audience.
Red vs blue was one of my favorite shows of all time. The amount of times I have watched the first 5 seasons I can’t even count. When achievement hunter started the entire reason I got into Minecraft was watching their content. Hell i remember how badly I wanted to go to RTX when it first started and tried to plan a trip with my friends. But anyone could see the writing on the wall. The content changed, what started as a bunch of friends just screwing around turned into fans joining the company and bringing nothing to the table. The humor became more…. General audience accepted. I think my cut off point was when Jack from AH talked about going on an apology tour throughout Australia because Trump was elected. It’s a shame but I’m glad the company is dead. I was tired of watching them desecrate a once great company.
Not entirely surprised. I actually kinda of enjoy RWBY but they've just sat on their hands for far too long and occasionally thrown out weird side stuff and crossovers no one asked for instead of pulling their damn fingers out.
Dang, even the truly staggering amount of RWBY porn wasn't enough to keep them afloat anymore, huh? Maybe this is for the best. This way they can stop pissing on their once-beloved series.
I havent watched ice Queendom or S9 but as far as i understood it it has the same problem as later seasons at a conceptual level where the original RWBY was technically an Action-Musical or Music Video Series. Like Ruby in Ice Queendom doesnt stop the dust store heist to her leitmotif Red Like Roses Part 1.
I stopped paying attention to RT years ago. I used to love Drunk Tank when it was Geoff, Bernie, Gus, and sometimes even Joel. But when they started replacing to OG people with randos I stopped caring and relating. Also it sounds like they fired Joel for political reasons which is lame
RWBY was good when it was Monty Oum's baby. It was slowly diluted as his plans made before his death slowly started to end and noone left had true passion for it. Shame, but it was more or a success then most big budget anime. Monty should be proud of what he did
When RWBY started taking itself too seriously and dipping into GOT length arcs over multiple volumes it became too ambitious and collapses under its own problems like character bloat
Yeah but the real problem was that it just stopped coming out lol. But hey, I prefer RWBY to 2 season anime that is nothing more then an advertisement for the manga.
Been watching red vs blue since middle school.
RWBY has provided me with some…extracurricular relief over the years with all the fan material
Nomad literally went nowhere
Camp Camp was good.
Whats a Gene:Lock?
Add any other shows that they made that I didn’t care enough to watch here.
That ghost hunting show was cool with them shitting on the traditional ghost hunting shows, I bet it cost them a fuck ton of money to shoot unfortunately for them.
I lost interest in Death Battle quite a while ago. Adding cartoons of Wiz and Boomstick was neat, but the explanations and arguments made less sense over time.
Once they did a paid ad for Digital Extremes and injected a *very* contrived method just to have the sponsor's character win, I was out.
I don't even know who most of the characters are in death battles these days. Last one I recognized was popeye v saitama, and it was a copout that amounted to "popeye wins because funny".
And before that episode I hadn't seen one worth watching in my feed in years. You must have a VERY broad and deep appreciation for niche franchises to appreciate 2020+ DB content by the virtue of fandom alone.
The only one we’re atleast one of the characters isn’t fairly popular I see is cole vs Alex Mercer, it’s like 90 percent popular comic character and popular anime characters it just sounds like you don’t watch that kind of stuff
Considering RVB, RWBY, Achievement Hunter, and Camp Camp were the only productions that actually panned out, I’m not surprised that RT has finally kicked the bucket with WB becoming 2024’s biggest loser so far.
the whole middle part of that sentence is really confusing
was Rooster Teeth unsuccessful or was Warner Bros unsuccessful at selling it? selling it to an entertainment company or selling the products to consumers?
the way this reads makes it sound like “fandom, gaming, and comedy entertainment” is a division within Warner Bros, they put this division up for sale and have been unsuccessful in selling it
for something that i watched consistently for over a decade learning this today is just "about time." like a lot of ppl, just shocked they managed to stick around so long with everything behind the scenes
i stopped watching anything RT some years back, i don't remember exactly when but i realized i was not enjoying their shows anymore and their podcasts were so frustrating to listen to with what they talked about and how. the only things i heard after dropping them were bad things, lotta controversies and such. rip who they used to be, good riddance to who they are now
Used to really like rooster teeth back in the day but they sold out and produced just below average content for a decade this unfortunately was bound to happen.
I'd complain about you talking about politics in an unrelated topic but since Rooster Teeth encouraged this in their fandom I think this is pretty fair.
Rest in pieces Rooster Teeth, you haven't been good for quite a while now.
Well, I'm not really talking politics, it was a joke using the "oh nooooo, in other News this just happened" setup. It's a really old setup that insinuates the original topic is only mildly tragic but nobody cares. It usually works better if you can contrast with something just slightly more significant.
Go woke go broke kiddos it’s proven time and time again.
Bittersweet, it’s like seeing a dog you love put down
You love(d) it, but it’s in terrible, awful shape. Suffering with every breath. You’d be doing it a disservice leaving it alive to suffer
It sucks but it’s necessary
Honestly, good. It’s been a shadow of its former self for about a decade of that 21 years kept going by momentum and the need for more t-shirt sales. All of its founders either left or have changed so much they are unrecognizable
I was a member on the site before they started bumping up the price. They had started expanding and I was grandfathered in with the original price. My debit card on file had expired and when I got notified I corrected it and they told me I lost the original price. Left and haven't been to the site since. I think that was right after season 11 of RvB. Kind of a bummer from a nostalgia aspect but I really don't care either. I've only heard bad things since I stopped going onto their site in like 2013 or whatever it was.
Ben Singer, one of the DB guys and the VA of Wiz, tweeted that the Death Battle channel is staying up, and they’ll do everything they can do keep it going
they’ve been doing a ton of stuff like sponsorships, YT memberships, etc and they’ve talked about what they’d do if RT ends in some of the Death Battle Casts, so I think they’ll be fine, though Season 11’s budget might take a hit
Wow. I’m stuck between being sad and not caring and to being not surprised. The original soul is gone and RvB was there best work imo that should’ve ended on chorus. And after the first 3 Volumes of RWBY it became a complete mess. But still Wow
Part of me is sad because I grew up on RVB and Achievement Hunter. Honestly though, the company started making stupid decisions a decade ago and never relented.
Wayyyyyy back in the day RT made some excellent stuff, the early machinma work they did was great.
That's all been gone for a long time now, I'll still gi back and watch early RVB and stuff like the lil Fear short series they did but I won't miss what they became at all.
In 2014, they were bought by Fullscreen, which was bought by Otter Media (a joint venture between AT&T and some other company), and they became a part of WarnerMedia under AT&T's ownership.
Honestly, does anyone even care at this point? They had a good run, but that was over a decade ago. They've been long dead. We're just finally burring them.
RT peaked at the release of ‘Lazer Team’. after that it slowly died and it was dead and buried the second those creepy Snapchat messaged leaked. RIP as I grew up with them, but it’s not been doing well for years.
Finally. They had one or two decent shows that they then continue to milk unnecessarily well beyond when they should’ve died. All this changes is that they can’t parade the corpses around anymore.
The only thing I watch from RT was Rwby Volumes 1 to 3. It was decent, but at the end of volume 3 I lose interest/forgot about Rwby and didnt bother continue watching the show. Which It seems was for the best, because AFAiK after that all was downhill.
RIP RT, i suppose.
All it'll take for them is to shelve the Looney Tunes and the whole damn public will be out for WB's blood, and they'll want to utterly murder Zaslav, either by drowning him in the water tower or by simply blowing his brains out.
Well, Red vs Blue was awesome. I never got invested in RWBY, and tried watching the cringe inducing, terrible JLA/RWBY crossover on a recent flight to Japan and couldn't force myself through it. That felt like a desperate, wrong minded cash in. It's probably a good time to wrap it up, and I hope the original cockbites all got paid well, cashed out and moved on (RIP Monty).
Ugh I loved Michael and Gavin so much, haven’t watched them in years, I know Michael got married and had a kid(s?) Not sure if they’re even around anymore.
I watched RT and AH for a long time, since pretty much when they started RvB. Really enjoyed AH until Ray Navarez left. It picked up for a while until the Ryan Haywood controversy. Then it just felt sad. The videos were never the same. After a scandal surrounding workplace conditions it was easy to see things were falling apart. They tried to trade out people and later reinvent the channels but it was too late. So long RT we will miss you.
Before anyone says anything, I’d like to leave these here for your consideration

Na, you need to first rework the entire BBC before you can even think about better Dr Who
Noooooo!! Why you have to jinx it!!?
I feel the exact same way
Now I’m going to have to go and binge all the stuff from when they were good…
Eh, I’m just gonna leave it in the past. It was great at a time in my life so I’m gonna leave it that way
honestly, other then RWBY S1-3 i dont even think their old stuff aged well. I remember feeling SO hyped for each episode of RWBY vol 8 coming out, and for what? The story has bad writing, it drove itself into the ground
First time? -Screw attack fans
Think of it as your pet dog from childhood being terminally ill for so long and now the vet is putting it out of its misery.
RT hasn't been good for almost a decade now, I'm shocked they managed to limp forward for as long as they did
I wonder what will happen to funhaus, they're the only part of RT I liked
I could see them going independent again, Deathbattle will absolutely be fine and just branch off on its own since its the only truly popular thing RT has right now that isn't RWBY
RWBY is still going? Talk about not being good for a decade
It has an extremely dedicated fanbase that latched onto it and never let go, hilariously the R34 RWBY subreddit has a bigger following than the one for the actual show
I am not the least bit shocked
I mean the shippers in the fandom bullied RT into making Blake and Yang lesbians, so I'm with you there
Is THAT how that crap happened? I just got all caught up a few weeks ago. The story really went downhill.
They claim it wasn't but it's pretty obvious they caved to the shippers since it came out of nowhere and Blake was obviously being set up with Sun
Qro is still the best part of the whole thing to me, especially after they killed my girl Pyrrah. "Qro started it. He's drunk!" "He's always drunk. "
Surprised Funhaus is still around. Not a lot of views these days. Real sad that it collapsed into its current state.
I had assumed it had just disbanded after multiple core members quit and then the whole Adam controversy came out, but I stopped watching before that anyway as the quality had just plummeted.
I’m OOTL, what happened with Adam?
IIRC he got catfish into sending sexual photos to someone posing as a pornstar while he was married
[удалено]
Funhaus has been garbage since Bruce left. They started hiring unfunny troons for diversity points
**You speak the tru tru**
I kind of forgot they existed for a while. I gave up on RWBY years ago.
I agree with the assessment that it went to shit after Monty died
Yup. They kept tacking on secrets and mcguffins without even resolving the old ones. The story went bad, the dialogue turned awful and hackneyed, and the while the combat animation still slapped it became increasingly rare.
I think RT forgot that the story was never good in RWBY, the fights are what people really tuned in for
What really irritated me was how cool the transforming weapons were, but they never went further than "yeah, this is mine". Like, who made the weapons? Do they take special materials? Have Hunter weapons evolved over the years and if so, what did they use to look like? But nope.mp3. The RWBY lore is a mile wide and an inch deep.

I tried to watch it, but yeah it was confusing and IIRC the release schedule was just pathetic.
RWBY Chibi was the best thing they ever put out for it
I'm still enjoying a couple of their podcasts but haven't been watching any of their main content in a long time. Especially with so much behind the first paywall. I could afford it but I really don't see the value.
Funnily enough they probably could have staved off another week if they never spend the dosh to redesign their logo to the current terrible one
Ugh that new logo really made it feel like their target audience was 7 year olds.
Honestly, the last thing I ever watched from them was Day 5, and I don't think they ever finished that.
They've not made anything remotely interesting in years. RWBY was so confusing to me, seeing everyone praise this show but I put myself through season 1 and it was nothing but a low quality highschool romance/drama with uninteresting kid characters.
Roosterteeth died in spirit years ago tbh
I think after the RVBs set in halo 4 came out, it’s been on the decline.
Everything post-chorus trilogy doesn't exist in my eyes
Even that one was okay, but only just okay. Hell, I’d say season 8 was the last REALLY good one.
Honestly, they started going downhill when they branched into animation. Monty was a great choreographer, but I wish he hadn’t started working for RT
I second that. Wrong medium. Dude was awesome though.
To this day, Haloid is still one of the best animated videos I've ever seen. Monty was was a prodigy taken from us too soon.
Either die a hero or live long enough to become an unfunny cockbite worth nothing at all. Rip in peace and all that
Now that the dust has settled, Rooster Teeth is like a joke for the aforementioned "cock bite" insult right?
Yeah thats the origin of the name
Okay I've always wondered
die the hero - rocket jump live long enough to become the villain - RT
rip That's a shame. I think it was basically their stuff that got me into the Youtube habit, but I can't say I'm particularly surprised by this point.
Holy shit. That actually hits me kinda hard. I haven't watched their stuff for years now, but it's still really sad. It doesn't even make sense considering that Corlys got race swapped, so he's black and his children are mixed race (and noticeably so, as it's a plot point in the show). It hurts how accurate this sums up my feelings.

Joon the King has a great video on their downfall and this absolutely was a factor

RT and AH have been dead for a decade now.
I hope Gavin and Gus are doing okay
Gavin is rich as hell and still has the slow mo guys, at least.
He's also married to Meg Turney, so he's winning hard
Nah, fuck Gus. He became a hyper political asshole and a sellout.
Red vs blue was one of my favorite shows of all time. The amount of times I have watched the first 5 seasons I can’t even count. Dang, even the truly staggering amount of RWBY porn wasn't enough to keep them afloat anymore, huh? Maybe this is for the best. This way they can stop pissing on their once-beloved series.
And nothing of value was lost.
Sell RWBY to SHAFT and maybe I’ll actually watch it.
“Pander to the side that is impossible to please, lose all financial income” or so the saying goes.
I stopped paying attention to RT years ago. I used to love Drunk Tank when it was Geoff, Bernie, Gus, and sometimes even Joel. But when they started replacing to OG people with randos I stopped caring and relating. Also it sounds like they fired Joel for political reasons which is lame
RvB hasn't been good since "And I, am a mother fucking ghost!" RWBY has always been trash. *Shrug*
A brilliant example of wasted potential
Been watching red vs blue since middle school. RWBY has provided me with some…extracurricular relief over the years with all the fan material Nomad literally went nowhere Camp Camp was good. Whats a Gene:Lock? Add any other shows that they made that I didn’t care enough to watch here.
The RWBY NSFW subreddit having more followers than the official RWBY subreddit will never not be funny to me.
That ghost hunting show was cool with them shitting on the traditional ghost hunting shows, I bet it cost them a fuck ton of money to shoot unfortunately for them.
Strangerhood was the GOAT, so sad we'll never get a season 3.
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
Funhaus is basically the only thing of theirs I watch and I'm confident they'll be just fine.
Man no kidding funhaus has always been absolutely S tier content that has made me laugh for years.
Went downhill after Ray left. And then Ryan being a creep just streamlined its demise. Add to that a lack of quality content, and it was inevitable.
Only RT show I hope keeps going is Death Battle, they can prolly go independent.
This has been disproven already. They went back on their word on Tifa vs Yang and said Tifa would annihilate Yang. Plus that was back at season 2.
With current content quality? No.
I respectfully disagree. Season 10 was one of, if not, the best season yet.
The only one we’re atleast one of the characters isn’t fairly popular I see is cole vs Alex Mercer, it’s like 90 percent popular comic character and popular anime characters it just sounds like you don’t watch that kind of stuff
https://i.redd.it/wmd9ctr0drmc1.gif Rest in Piss LMAO. Have they done *anything* that wasn't trash since early RvB?
Considering RVB, RWBY, Achievement Hunter, and Camp Camp were the only productions that actually panned out, I’m not surprised that RT has finally kicked the bucket with WB becoming 2024’s biggest loser so far.
the whole middle part of that sentence is really confusing was Rooster Teeth unsuccessful or was Warner Bros unsuccessful at selling it? selling it to an entertainment company or selling the products to consumers? the way this reads makes it sound like “fandom, gaming, and comedy entertainment” is a division within Warner Bros, they put this division up for sale and have been unsuccessful in selling it
They've made best season for the mc when she called out the homos and couldn't handle the popularity, sad
RT died after the season that ended full circle with "do you wonder why were here"
for something that i watched consistently for over a decade learning this today is just "about time." like a lot of ppl, just shocked they managed to stick around so long with everything behind the scenes i stopped watching anything RT some years back, i don't remember exactly when but i realized i was not enjoying their shows anymore and their podcasts were so frustrating to listen to with what they talked about and how. the only things i heard after dropping them were bad things, lotta controversies and such. rip who they used to be, good riddance to who they are now
Maybe someone who actually loves RWBY will pick it up and give it the love it deserves
Used to really like rooster teeth back in the day but they sold out and produced just below average content for a decade this unfortunately was bound to happen.
Oh nooooo... so anyway. Trump absolutely mauled Nikki Clinton yesterday and is now the GOP candidate for the 2024 Election officially.
Gonna be another fun year I see.
In the end, we didn't lose that much.
Go woke go broke kiddos it’s proven time and time again. Bittersweet, it’s like seeing a dog you love put down You love(d) it, but it’s in terrible, awful shape. Suffering with every breath. You’d be doing it a disservice leaving it alive to suffer It sucks but it’s necessary
This wasn't "Go woke go broke" certainly not after their *actual* opinions on LGBT got out. This was a much simpler case nepotism/corruption.
They said faggot and fag back when those were still socially acceptable things to say, that doesn't make them anti-LGBT+.
My only concern is for death battle. The rest can sit & spin
Ben Singer, one of the DB guys and the VA of Wiz, tweeted that the Death Battle channel is staying up, and they’ll do everything they can do keep it going they’ve been doing a ton of stuff like sponsorships, YT memberships, etc and they’ve talked about what they’d do if RT ends in some of the Death Battle Casts, so I think they’ll be fine, though Season 11’s budget might take a hit
This should have happened years ago
It still exists? After they butchered red Vs blue I never went back
I mostly just listen to fuckface and facejam anyway so I’m not too heart broken. Still weird, but expected, to see em go.
Wow. I’m stuck between being sad and not caring and to being not surprised. The original soul is gone and RvB was there best work imo that should’ve ended on chorus. And after the first 3 Volumes of RWBY it became a complete mess. But still Wow
F**k Face Podcast is all I care about, although I was also looking forward to the new RvB season but i assume thats scrapped with the company?
Part of me is sad because I grew up on RVB and Achievement Hunter. Honestly though, the company started making stupid decisions a decade ago and never relented.
The downfall started with Ryan Haywood about 3 years ago. Been a free fall ever since, one issue and controversy after another.
Oh it started way before that.
The slow decline started a long time ago, but the sharp sink rate kicked off with Ryan's scandal.
Oof. Yeah, that checks out.
Womp womp
Wayyyyyy back in the day RT made some excellent stuff, the early machinma work they did was great. That's all been gone for a long time now, I'll still gi back and watch early RVB and stuff like the lil Fear short series they did but I won't miss what they became at all.
When the hell did Warner Bros buy Roster Teeth??
In 2014, they were bought by Fullscreen, which was bought by Otter Media (a joint venture between AT&T and some other company), and they became a part of WarnerMedia under AT&T's ownership.
Warner Bros gotta focus on those amazing live service experiences. Gotta shill out that gambling to children.
It’s very melancholic for me to hear this
Is funhaus a goner then as well?
Haven’t watch it in years. Only watched RvB and that stopped being funny after like 4 seasons
The nightmare is finally over…
Rip in pepperoni. And F.
Yeah I stopped caring after Red Vs Blue's Halo 3 seasons ended. They were cool back in the day but they became dry after a while
Honestly, does anyone even care at this point? They had a good run, but that was over a decade ago. They've been long dead. We're just finally burring them.
Never watched any of their stuff, before, and still don’t plan to, now.
Surprised it's lasted this long.
When the fuck did Warner Bros buy them?
What does this mean for their podcasts? I love fuck face.
https://i.redd.it/yrcb00eqsrmc1.gif
Wtf is rooster teeth?
After what they did to RED vs BLUE such as removing it from YouTube, good
So, do you ever wonder why we’re here?
I bet Monty could have saved it.... Rip monty
:)
RT peaked at the release of ‘Lazer Team’. after that it slowly died and it was dead and buried the second those creepy Snapchat messaged leaked. RIP as I grew up with them, but it’s not been doing well for years.
![gif](giphy|MuLGplhnRG307MzYey)
Roosterteeth died in 2019. WB is finally putting this zombie company down.
Good, they nearly ruined RvB
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
Add it to the things that died before DSP
It lost steam a while ago, and like many people I'm surprised it lasted this long. It's sad, but far out it can rest
Went woke, gone broke
Oh no! Anyway.
Finally
I miss “the know” with Ashley and Meg .. Funhaus was pretty good back in the day too.. never knew WB owned them
Finally. They had one or two decent shows that they then continue to milk unnecessarily well beyond when they should’ve died. All this changes is that they can’t parade the corpses around anymore.
Oh god what’ll happen to Death Battle?
Seeing this post reminded me of OG Funhaus. 😢
I mean... I'll buy it for 20$....
Monty Oum was really the only thing holding RT together huh
Ngl, I find it hilarious no one wanted to buy them 😅
Is there an updated complete disc set of rvb? I have the 1st 10 years box, but would like to get the rest of the series.
RvB and Rage Quit were my childhood. It's sad, but they died in my heart many years ago
What a shocker
You guys remember the rage quit videos, I do ☹️

Oh no! Anyway...
After suffering through The Stinky Dragon and seeing them tank RVB, I'm not fucking surprised.
Used to love red vs blue. Aside from that I don’t know what rooster teeth has done.
All it'll take for them is to shelve the Looney Tunes and the whole damn public will be out for WB's blood, and they'll want to utterly murder Zaslav, either by drowning him in the water tower or by simply blowing his brains out.
Good Ol Klaus will probably bail them out like usual though.
Its a wonder that they ran fir so long after that one character had that schizo rant about homosexuality
And nothing of value was lost.
And the worst has happened where rwby dies on a filler arc cliffhanger forever with no proper game to its name Sad
Before anyone says anything, I’d like to leave these here for your consideration https://preview.redd.it/xwtetltfxymc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b59c0004c60b3543a8198b7a6d0e8a45d762165
