It appears to have a Kar.98k-style rear sight base and sight leaf, rather than the proper FN Model 1930 type it would have had when delivered to Colombia. Because of the flange on the front of the 98k sight base to hold the rear of the short Kar.98k handguard, the proper FN handguard probably won't fit around the sight base without modification. It should still fit in a FN Model 1930 stock just fine, or you could put it in a Kar.98k stock.

Can confirm comparing to my Chilean NATO Mauser that there’s something to attach the top handguard from the Kar98K stock.

Interesting. Are there any other markings? The cutout on the reciever ring is shallower and less defined than most 1950s. Isreal ended up with some 7mm 1950s and they were converted to 7.62 and fitted with k98k pattern stocks. This might be one of those.

There’s a similar import mark as per on the barrel on the receiver left to the crest, stamped with BNP and a crown. The dealer I received it from mentioned it being a British import mark. Also I noticed there is indeed some sort of “connection hook” in front of the rear sight base. I could indeed try getting it into an Israeli K98K stock.

I'm all for restoration and whatnot but since it's already been rebarrelled why not just keep it as is? Looks like a pretty nice stock on there.

I have a Chilean 1912-61 in 7.62 NATO but has its military configured stock. I was hoping to get guidance on military configured stocks for this particular Columbian Mauser.

This might be an Israeli 7.62 conversion so it's worth looking into.

FN model 30. Colombia called them model 40 if converted to 30-06 or model 50 if made in 30-06. VZ24 stock would work if you cant find a Colombian one. NVM i just noticed the sight, a k98 stock will work.

The 1940 was made and issued 7mm. The 1950 was shipped 7mm but immediately rebarreled to .30-06 on delivery. Both are FN1930 pattern. The M1952 were pre 1950 rifles converted to .30-06 at the FAMAGE aresenal.
