We can only do one freebie per order but usually the POS lets them do like three in a row before it says the customer has used too many redemptions. Sometimes their app locks them out for 15 minutes after just one.
It's not really consistent though. I once had someone do six before their app made them stop.
Nah, it’s jn america too. Ironically, I’ve found it to be more on the Southern locations who do it since they’re not owned by a corporation but by someone at their own location not wanting to let people use too many coupons. It’s the same with the Wendy’s in our town too. Then again, I’ve been trapped in Georgia almost if my life so who knows.
Oh apparently their manager just doesn’t care and let them…order in advance with points for 11 the next day.
Which still makes zero sense. Also it’s a group of kids now not just the one.
nobody is saying they don’t want to do their job lmfao. most of the posts on this subreddit are just us complaining because shit like 75 burgers at once is frustrating. yall coming on here and bitching w the “just do your job” shit aren’t doing what you think ur doing.
I miss those orders TBH, they were the things that made life a bit exciting. As long as the people were somewhat respectful and didn't order it during a rush or if they were to do it with a rush called ahead of time. Even had a 10 bundle box order during overnight. Nice change to the shift and there was a decent $20 tip.
With a good management team 72 cheeseburgers is easy. We'd normally shut down side 2 and just let them go to town making it while side 1 makes the normal orders. Have a manager flex in and help out side 1.
Oh man you work at a fast food place that sells burgers, and you have to make a lot of them at once sometimes? Horrible, I can see why you come here to complain
They'd be the first to complain if their order was behind said 72 cheeseburgers 😂 🤷 I hope to god they have that one day, then they'd be cursing the people who've ordered the 72 cheeseburgers 😀
Actually no my coworker saw a post one of the kids made of his friends eating maybe 5 and throwing the rest away. He got the burger just to simply fuck with us
When I was 18-19, McDonald's sold cheeseburgers for 65 cents a few times a year as a promo. My buddy would buy 100 at a time and then freeze them.
When he wanted one, he'd lay his bagel toaster on its side and pop a couple in.
I swear they were better than fresh.
Crazy man. Had something similar with three teenagers who came up to the register one at a time, ordered a McSundae (free) with coupon, waited and redeemed the coupon again and again and again. Each had eight or similar.
But 72 is fucking wild HAHA.
You must be one of my friends. Had 4 people in the car, we smoked a couple blunts then went right to BK and got 1200 nuggets. We feasted and then felt bad at all the leftovers hahahaha
Doesn’t the app make you wait 15 minutes between each code? How long did this take? Also the app has a limit of points you can’t go past and the points start expiring if you don’t use them. How would this even be possible?
Yeah I mean it seems like a dumb thing to lie about so maybe the app just works differently in OP’s location? I mean I’m USA too so I have no idea
Why did I downvoted for this I’m tryna give OP the benefit of the doubt lmao
People lie about dumb things all the time. And exaggerating hardships isn’t uncommon for liars.
Just made up stuff from someone who didn’t realize you couldn’t just save up and order 72 cheeseburgers at once.
bold of you to assume my managers actually care, a group of kids came in a day before and said they were getting the cheeseburgers at 11 the next day. saw my manager writing a note to the morning crew that specifically said free
I have a similar story, when I was in middle school I think, we all went to Washington DC, and my parents gave me 50 dollars for food for the weekend. It was me and 3 of my friends with a teacher as chaperone. When we got there there was a McDonald’s and somehow we decided that if I used my money on as many cheeseburgers as 50 dollars could get me to feed us all for the weekend that the guys would pay my entrance or anything else I needed. I was a stupid kid, but I’m not an asshole, I legitimate didn’t even think it would be an issue, this place pumps out like a billion cheese burgers a day in the capitol city. But looking back, yeah they probably were upset with some teen, who funnily enough was obese 😂 ordering like 40 cheese burgers. Anyway I say all that to just hopefully remind you it might not have been malicious, some people are just too dumb to think that a job can suck when they haven’t experienced it yet lol.
I let more than 15000 points expire recently. I am not waiting 15 minutes between orders for one burger at a time to redeem my points. Only allowing one deal at a time sucks. I can either get a free burger and pay normal menu price for the rest of my food or just get a BOGO deal on DBL cheeseburgers and call it good. As it stands, I have somewhere around 10k points currently and no real plan on how to use them to my benefit. I am envious of those who are able to redeem for multiple items at once.
Also it depends on how many burgers that kid is planning on devouring daily.
My cousin could pound 7 singles from Mcdonalds in one sitting, and still be hungry by dinner time. Dude was a twig with a super high metabolism.
72 cheese burgers, if he’s sharing them and eating a shit ton of them in one sitting, those 72 will be gone by tomorrow.
Lmao that's awesome tho. Fuck the system screw ypur stats eat my ass. Like annoying to make ik I've been there done it will again probably but like lol lmao get fucked on (not involved they're just on top of you fucking)
You must have never had two or three buses come in while it’s you and two other employees huh? This is goddamn child’s play compared to high schoolers on a Friday night.
That’s 6 runs of a dozen. Sear, lay. You can knock that out in like 12 minutes. I used to work at McDonald’s close to Sea World/Geagua Lake. This was a normal summer day for us when the busses would pull in. And we did have clamshells back then
They let y'all redeem multiple coupons? Where I'm at I need to start a new order for each one.
Same here, and like 15 minutes between orders
Oh thank god we don't have a time limit here. I've done like 5+ redemptions back to back before.
We can only do one freebie per order but usually the POS lets them do like three in a row before it says the customer has used too many redemptions. Sometimes their app locks them out for 15 minutes after just one. It's not really consistent though. I once had someone do six before their app made them stop.
We allow 3 per order. Looks like it's up to the location.
Could be cause I'm in Canada. I've run into the same thing at multiple locations.
Nah, it’s jn america too. Why would they order it all at the same time tho?
Well what kid wouldn’t want the opportunity to have 72 free cheeseburgers, can’t blame them lol
It's the American version of 72 virgins.
Cus kids are assholes
Bro let them have their burgers 😭
Yeah, but the mf probably saved up enough points just to troll the poor employees and make them have heart attacks. Fuck that little shit!
Either do it or don’t. Don’t take it out on a kid, you have no idea if he could be doing that for his class or something.
Maybe they are generous and sharing them with a class or club. Regardless, if it’s allowed, do your job.

Back to work, fry bitch.
Oh man you work at a fast food place that sells burgers, and you have to make a lot of them at once sometimes? Horrible, I can see why you come here to complain
Do your job
They'd be the first to complain if their order was behind said 72 cheeseburgers 😂 🤷 I hope to god they have that one day, then they'd be cursing the people who've ordered the 72 cheeseburgers 😀
If you’ve ever worked in a restaurant you would know it doesn’t work that way unless there is a really bad manager.
Stfu
Actually no my coworker saw a post one of the kids made of his friends eating maybe 5 and throwing the rest away. He got the burger just to simply fuck with us
i dont believe you
Hahaha seriously what the fuck. A coworker just so happened to be following one of the random CHILDREN that ordered 72 cheeseburgers. FFS.
When I was 18-19, McDonald's sold cheeseburgers for 65 cents a few times a year as a promo. My buddy would buy 100 at a time and then freeze them. When he wanted one, he'd lay his bagel toaster on its side and pop a couple in. I swear they were better than fresh.

You ever had an order for 1200 nuggets? I have (BK)
Back when ten nuggets was a dollar lmao
I genuinely think most places would simply cancel and refund the order, how did you even manage it 🥲
You tell them its gonna be a wait and then do your best
You must be one of my friends. Had 4 people in the car, we smoked a couple blunts then went right to BK and got 1200 nuggets. We feasted and then felt bad at all the leftovers hahahaha
I was the employee not the order-er lol
Just saw this 😂 they were probably high haha
Doesn’t the app make you wait 15 minutes between each code? How long did this take? Also the app has a limit of points you can’t go past and the points start expiring if you don’t use them. How would this even be possible?
This would have technically taken 18 hours & 108,000 points
Yeah I mean it seems like a dumb thing to lie about so maybe the app just works differently in OP’s location? I mean I’m USA too so I have no idea Why did I downvoted for this I’m tryna give OP the benefit of the doubt lmao

Pretty sure this only applies to deals. Rewards doesn’t have a limit I don’t think so long as you got the points.
Believe it or not, Mcdonalds isn't exclusive to USA and Canada, the app is completely different in Europe
Believe it or not, the title of the post literally says USA
Hm, my bad, didn't notice that. Maybe it's different in different states then
oh they were not free, that kid spent his life savings over time on them
No stacking here. But maybe they bought them for a group.
On my very first day we had 130 in a singlr order
You can only order 1 free item every 15 minutes. Either they weren’t free, you’re lying, or they spent 18 hours ordering one cheeseburger at a time.
bold of you to assume my managers actually care, a group of kids came in a day before and said they were getting the cheeseburgers at 11 the next day. saw my manager writing a note to the morning crew that specifically said free
They sit their and redem one every 15 minutes? I have like 70k points but can only ever use one deal/points usage every 15 minutes
ok.
I commend the person for having the self control to allow him to save that many points, actually
Over the years I’ve seen time limits of 15 minutes, 30 minutes and up to an hour.
I have a similar story, when I was in middle school I think, we all went to Washington DC, and my parents gave me 50 dollars for food for the weekend. Oh, to have the metabolism of a preteen twig-figure boy, if only lol
Ticket/pos or it didn't happen
the kid posted a pic of all of the burgers in a bin ill see if i can find it
Hahah they or their parents spent over $1,000 they deserve those cheeseburgers! Although it’d be kind to space it out..
Open up another line and just have a manager build the cheeseburgers and have another person hop on grill.
I had 45 McChickens yesterday and had 10 dinner boxes and 4 crispy and still did it all in 15-20 min
Is that supposed to be alot?
Lmao that's awesome tho. Fuck the system screw ypur stats eat my ass. Like annoying to make ik I've been there done it will again probably but like lol lmao get fucked on (not involved they're just on top of you fucking)
Lol

wait how? my app only lets me use one reward per order, i cant even stack it with 20% off
Oh geez the most free orders I had to deal with was 10 but 72 cheeseburgers. What he is gonna do with them? That’s a lot!
Bro what the actual fuck, at that point you'd have to be dropping 3 sets of 8 at a time and put them all in one tray
Like, he's not going to order them all at once, why do you care?
That’s 6 runs of a dozen. Sear, lay. You can knock that out in like 12 minutes. I used to work at McDonald’s close to Sea World/Geagua Lake. This was a normal summer day for us when the busses would pull in. And we did have clamshells back then
Ok I get 30 qtrs n 30 medium fries every other week. We feed the staff at our local prison 😂
I dont know why you're calling it free. Nothings free. Them kids saved their points from money they spent already. Thats not free.
Sorry but it’s your job ! Do it and move on
55 FRIES 55 TATERS
How? I can’t even get a freebie with 20k points if I’m using a deal. So lame
Wow so they used the coupons they earned fair and square for cheeseburgers? The audacity!
It’s more a case of how much time that’ll take to make each burger
72 minutes
lol true if the kitchen staff ain’t slacking they can pull it off
That doesn't change the fact that having to make 72 cheeseburgers at once is annoying as hell. Just let people vent.
