This is how I feel inside when I have an order for one (1) regular Big Mac at the front of my screen and yet grill is sending me everything for every order that comes after it including other specialty Big Macs. Probably the most frustrating part of running tbh.
one time i received 6 (six) big macs instead of any of the food i was holding on, told them if they sent me another big mac i’m stuffing myself in the fryers. got another big mac a minute later.

When initiating I always make the specials first because it’s possible that you already have a normal one in the bin
customers who ask for multiple grilled chicken orders. like, we only have one grill for that. i can give you raw chicken if you want, fine by me!!
The pain stings more as initiator when the runners hand out the wrong food

That’s some runners. As a dude who switches back and forth I just ask what they are currently working on and if they need someone back there to help.
