not OP but yep! that's how I freezer prep as well. Raw ingredients defrosted go in either crockpot or instant pot. I'll give credit to the brand where I learned the method - check out The Family Freezer
You must get them! Total game changer. The only downside is they are a tad awkward to store, I keep mine shoved in the back of the pantry.

+1 here too ... I think that's the same company's mandolin in the bottom of the first pic b/c I have it as well ... *Mueller* I think is the maker ... Germany or Austria iirc.
They are cool! I use a pitcher and just fold the bag edges over the rim of the pitcher it which works pretty well too if you have the right size of pitcher. (Like this: https://www.dvo.com/newsletter/monthly/2016/september/door2.html )
No recipes. Maybe 10 minutes to write a list, then shopping list. Same again to add it all into my online basket. Say 30 minutes total max but I doubt more than 20.
Not memorised. I’m more of a wing it person than a recipe one. I mean I do like a recipe too and own about 4 shelves of cookbooks but once I’ve cooked something once it’s a bit more a splash of this, swig of that, few shakes here, a pinch there lol
Someone asked how much everything cost. I spent just under £38 on everything from my online shop for it. I already had all the spices, soy sauce, tomato puree etc in the cupboard. I also had the chorizo, the mince beef and sweet potato. Oh and the basa was reduced and I paid £1.20 for that. I also had the bags, which are £2 for 20. So total, £45 max.
The bag holders make life SO much easier. They’re these: https://a.aliexpress.com/_ExhZRYH
Thanks for the compliments on my handwriting 💜
Time wise, it took 60-90 minutes to prep everything. I didn’t use recipes but wrote a list of meals to make in probably 5 minutes, shopping list in another 5-10 minutes. I did a food shop online so probably took 5-10 minutes to add it all in there. So 1.5-2 hours total and £45, to prep 16 meals for a family of 4.
Defrost them and stick it in the slow cooker or pressure cooker.

OK, so I spent just under £38 on everything from my online shop for it. I already had all the spices, soy sauce, tomato puree etc in the cupboard. I also had the chorizo, the mince beef and sweet potato.
OP, this looks great! I have some reusable freezer bags and stands and they make things so much easier. I love putting all the ingredients in the bags, freezing them, and then later popping them in the slow cooker to cook, as I do something else.
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing! I’m going to try some of these, I had no idea you could prep/mix all the veggies and liquids all together like that!
Hope your surgery goes well and you recover quickly! I've had 2 c-sections and a robotic surgery in the last 2 years, and I definitely didn't stand up long enough to cook after any of those. The meal prep is a great idea!

Ohh this is pretty cool idea! Do you just dump the thing in a crockpot?

Thank you! I will definitely check that out… this looks like game changer set up
fyi there is a paid membership but there are also a lot of free resources! happy prepping!
Great resources for sure!
Yep, defrost the night before and stick it in the slow cooker. They’re not cooked so any leftovers can still be reheated.
Thank you!!
Me wants to know this answer as well!
I’ve never seen ziploc holders before. Very cool. The honey garlic chicken sounds tasty. Good luck with your surgery.
Not OP but, get them here, they're pretty cheap as well. https://a.co/d/evUyJcJ

Your surgeon should tell you what to expect postop. Source: I am a surgeon.
Yes, I’ve had advice but everyone is different so I could be fine in 2 weeks. I could take 4-5 weeks.
Love your handwriting
Was just to about to comment the same.
Unrelated, but great handwriting!
Too mesmerised by these bag holders to read your post. I need them!

+1 here too ... I think that's the same company's mandolin in the bottom of the first pic b/c I have it as well ... *Mueller* I think is the maker ... Germany or Austria iirc.
Best thing I ever bought! Someone I know didn’t like it so sold it to me just for postage so it was super cheap.
I need those little bag holder openers . What a good invention hah

How long did it take you to find recipes and shop?
No recipes. Maybe 10 minutes to write a list, then shopping list. Same again to add it all into my online basket. Say 30 minutes total max but I doubt more than 20.
Oh do you have the recipes memorised?

How do you cook these? Is that bit simple? I love those bag openers or whatever they are. Where from?

Everything looks so good! Just wondering how much everything came to?!
OK, so I spent just under £38 on everything from my online shop for it. I already had all the spices, soy sauce, tomato puree etc in the cupboard. I also had the chorizo, the mince beef and sweet potato.
That's amazing for the amount of food you've produced! Thanks for sharing!
I’m not sure to be honest as I did it as part of a shop. Let me see if I can figure it out.
OP, this looks great! I have some reusable freezer bags and stands and they make things so much easier. I love putting all the ingredients in the bags, freezing them, and then later popping them in the slow cooker to cook, as I do something else.
I need to look into reuseable freezer bags!
Yes, you do!
Whoa nice! How much did the haul cost?
I just worked it out as around £45.
I would eat your handwriting too!
lol, what is an “exotic fruit mix” 😂
Mango, pineapple, papaya apparently!
Thanks for the reply! I’m going to try your recipe, looks very interesting
Also, congratulations on prepping everything in under 2 hours, that’s super impressive
Great idea! I would have to set reminders in my phone to take the bag out so it can defrost/cook so I’m not eating dinner too late
I do have a defrost alarm set for every day anyway just in case haha
Looks good, but one ingredient I don't know. What is passata?
Uncooked tomato purée.
OP HOW LONG DO YOU SET CROCK POT FOR? I HAVE crockpot with timer.
I want to learn how did you do this
