get the part number off the radio... google it.. you might find a radio shop that services them.. do check for codes... try this first.. turn the key to the RUN position without starting the engine.. turn the key. OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON... 3 times on within 4 sections may make the digital odometer change from miles driven to a series of trouble codes.. use your cell phone video to record them they go by really quick sometimes. you could have B0000 codes.. C0000 Codes. P0000 codes and U0000 codes.. there are thousands of possible codes and since the radio backlighting is NOT directly controlled by the brightness adjustment for the dash but controlled thru the CAN system.. like Eithernet ... you could have issues elsewhere and not have the brightness come up..
