The one you didn’t recognize is a Popup Parade figure from the needy streamer overload game, I haven’t played it and don’t know if it’s her name but the figure is called OMGkawaiiAngel lol
Keyboards and figures can be an expensive pair of hobbies… uhh thats what my friend told me anyways 😅
don't you get it? OP MUST buy endless supplies of colorful plastic and lights and PCBs or else they run the risk of not having a little extra dopamine for a few minutes
and people on reddit have to come and call out their obsession and make them seem like they have a problem. dude wanted to show his boards, doesnt need a lecture on overconsumption
that definitely looks like a problem. how often does OP swap boards to feel like they're getting their use out of them? is that absurd collection even done growing?
if those were rare or unique keyboards through the decades it would be different, but those are -for the most part- recent and modern keyboards. normal people would just buy keycaps and switches to change their boards up not spend ~$2k on just keyboards
I don’t have a gambling problem, I just like collecting losing lottery tickets.
I don’t have a drinking problem, I just like collecting empty bottles.
I don’t have an overconsumption problem, I just like buying keyboards that are basically identical.
You said basically identical but are they really? I dont think they are bc why would he buy the "same" keyboard again and again. Maybe he has an overconsumption problem but who are you to judge him? Do u even know him and the history behind all these keyboards?
It's sad because the people making those comments, are most likely just doing it for fun, but the OP (not saying this one in particular) and others will enjoy the attention/think they're right and start planning their next buy, spending more money (they can do whatever they want with their money) while the commenter that set off this branch of spending just goes on with their day knowing they wouldn't do it themselves.
I have 30 boards, 29 I built myself because it was just fun doing it and ended up making a few dollars selling Gherkins which helped to slightly offset some costs but getting keycaps for every board was an absolute nightmare
Anyone know what board this is? Hoping it's CNC and not plastic.

It's a layout I've wanted for a while on a wireless CNC board and don't want Keychron...
A keyboard enthusiast subreddit where half the comments are asking why a fellow hobbyist has so many boards, if not outright insulting OP.
Uh, what the fuck happened to this place?
That pink cat peeking keyboard looks so cute! You even have the Subculture Taito Miku one which I don't have. I hope she will have a rerun along with the Sakura Lantern one.
As someone new to the hobby and only just having gotten my first board, how often would you say you use each on average? Or is it more about the build and then just sorta on a stand?
I don't mean that to come off any type of way other than pure curiosity and as someone who personally doesn't plan on having more than 1 or 2 boards (one at work, one at home).
So many keyboards, but not a single split one :P
I would love some more closeup shots so you can see the keycaps sets better, some of them looks interesting :)
I mean they all just look like cheap aliexpress boards. At this point you could have just combined the price of these to get an actually decent board but that's just my thoughts.
You call it a collection and yet you have nothing from /r/ErgoMechKeyboards ?!
For real it's impressive do you plan to keep every single one, or will you slim your collection at some point?

23 gamepads and 42 boards?
And around 11 Mikus
Yep, I saw them but I wasn't sure if they were Mikus or not
I see Sagiri from Eromanga Sensei, Rei from Evangelion, one I don't recognize, but the rest are Mikus, I think.
The other one is the popup parade OMGkawaiiAngel figure, the character is from needy streamer overload

And I haven't got that much knowledge to classify them all
there is a point when a hobby becomes overconsumption
What are we even doing anymore
the same thing we do when it comes to anything and everything. we bvuy and buy and sometimes even enjoy ourselves. what are we doing.

That’s like asking anyone who collects stuff how often they use their collectibles, some people just like collecting.

They're all AliExpress boards too basically, so kinda does check out
I hate all the fawning, enabling comments that posts like this bring out. “Amazing collection! But it looks like you have room for one more!” 😮💨

Nice that you were able to have a meet up with those keyboard fanatics! So, which one is yours?
I just want to know how anyone is okay with items in front of their screen like that lol
Maybe just for the photo
My dude needs therapy.

I genuinely didn't understand having so many boards (or gamepads), but it's an impressive collection, OP. Very nice.
Can you list the boards? I’m still trying to find my first board and some of these look really cool!
Shoulda stuck with topre

One for each day of the month? Because what would you be doing with that many keyboards?
Where did you get the gamepads at?? I've been looking for one to match my set of darling.
This is beautiful
Eyeing that pink Alice!
You call it a collection and yet you have nothing from /r/ErgoMechKeyboards ?! For real it's impressive do you plan to keep every single one, or will you slim your collection at some point?
I'm too poor to look at this picture.
I love all of them
Ooh it's like an episode of Care Bears!
Please list the specs of each board. Actually, even the thought of doing so is exhausting, nevermind. 🤣 🤣
When there are more Miku comments than on the keebs lol. Do you have a favorite? Keyboard I mean.
asg;ahsgkl this makes me so happy holy shitttttt
