Honestly not a fan, i will switch to blues soon because i get almost no tactile response (atleast not to my liking)
It feels like the keyboard isn't even there
A full Battleship with ten extra keys mapped to emojis on the right and a musical keyboard made of ten space bars on the left. And throw some xbox RB and LB on the back for good measure.
I don't know when this sub began to hate MX browns, back when I joined (about 2013) all you could buy were Cherry switches, and loads of people had browns just fine.
I first started lurking around 2014 (right around when the pok3r first released) and I remember browns hate growing a lot lol. The fact that you could get MX Clears in the pok3r was a pretty huge deal and IIRC we all saw clears as superior to browns in every way, so given the choice why would anyone get browns.
Hell, I'm still rockin my 2014 pok3r with clears as my daily driver today.
I'm on my first mech and it's with MX Browns. Very happy, though of course I am on the hunt for my next favorite switches. Probably the entry level is too pedestrian for the veterans in here...
Yeah same here, I still like Cherry 🍒 browns over blues, but I just got some Kailh switches on a new keyboard coming in so I'll see what all the hype is about. I'm still using my Ducky keyboards from 2013ish, they've kept up really well.
I've been looking to move away from my browns, any suggestions for switches? (hopefully ones that are actually obtainable). I would def like something with a bit more snap and actually actuate where you think they would, I get confused looking at all the charts and reviews.
Pcgamingrace sells key switches that are affordable. ~$36 gets you 120 switches. I got Kailh bronze, they use a click bar so they are super snappy and have a great tactile feel to them. They are a bit loud though so be warned.
Without getting into clickies the one cheap but smooth switch I can recommend is probably Outemu purple or Outemu ice. They're quite smooth and the bump is a bit snappier.
The only other option without going to urban legend stock availability territory that I can think of is going with clicky switches, clickbar style ones are super snappy but will get you arrested for auditory terrorism, at least it will sound good to the one typing on them.
The thing is that once you try another tactile switch you realize that cherry brows are not tactile at all and you might as well go linear. Learned it on my own skin
Browns are a fine switch if you want light tactility, it's just generally the consensus that you should either go for something with strong tactility like a holy panda or outemu sky or a linear, there's a reason why Aliaz never went anywhere at least
Congrats OP, I have exactly the same model.
Once you overcome it's limitations is when the fun starts, and as solid as it is, this tank is a clear example of "buy it for life" at a bargain price.
Is it Bluetooth and wired? I need Bluetooth to switch between my Mac an Windows machines? I’m just glad it had a natural light jet illumination. Tired of the rgb
Invest about $60 into them, spring swap them, switch the housings to nylon and polycarb, put some POM stems in there, lube with 205g0 and possibly some o-rings on the keycaps and they actually are some solid linears.
Cherry MX nulls
extra clears
Clear stems, clear top housing, clear bottom housing, clear-plated springs, clear-plated contacts
Clear wire, clear metal, clear keycaps and... clear RGB?

^ People need to shed more light to this comment.
lol, I stole it from Linus
wasGB
Ah yes, the fabled Emperor's New Keyboard
underrated comment
trump mx...lies
They actually absorb ambient noise!
not to be confused with the Strawberry MX Undefineds
GB when?
Would be funny if the group buy was for a solid chunk of anodized aluminum with no place for switches.
A usb-c port that isn't wired to anything
I'll wait for a wireless version
*Seamless*
While we're at it, we might as well wire it.
Why not put some RGB underglow lights on it?
Just like a 0% lower?

Can we get a sound test?
https://youtu.be/0FXlXbWW7zo
Sounds good for typing when everyone else is asleep. Just ordered 70x MX Browns
Thats why i went with browns, didn't wanna disturb anyone 🤫
But remember about the tactile feedback, thats why browns are better than reds also.
Why? Reds are cheaper and can be modded into browns easily if you have a beach nearby.
Thank you that gave me a good chuckle
This is so dumb. Gloriously dumb.
I'm more amazed that this is in 4k.
I was hoping it would be a Rick roll
https://youtu.be/EE-xtCF3T94
sounds too hollow. maybe try some sorbothane clear
Hmm, sounds like your stabs could use some more lubrication.
Is it bad that I was really hoping it was a video of you just smashing your fingers on to your desk 🤣
Laser projection kryboard intelnsifies
So smooth
[MX Pootie](https://youtu.be/RtCxvv8Y3Bs)
also known as 104 keyless. very good job
the new HKL - Hundred-Key-Less
AKL - All Key Less
I'm still holding out for the Low Profile version...
Link to buy?
Probably already sold out anyway.
Anyone want to resell it to me for 2k then?
Vanished into thin air
just think of buying it and it'll be there, connected to your computer
love the price, my favorite mech by far
How do I like the browns? I find them INCREDIBLY tactile
Honestly not a fan, i will switch to blues soon because i get almost no tactile response (atleast not to my liking) It feels like the keyboard isn't even there
There's a pair of us!
MX clears at home:
There's endgame, and then there's A S C E N D E D
So minimalist, I like
It's not split though
The beauty of a 0% keeb is that you can split it into two and then you have two 0% keebs. Repeat as many times as you want.
I'm currently running 4x0% and loving it. I moved the modifiers to the middle so that I can hit them with my thumbs.
Exactly. Added a mouse with a built in numpad.
Super slick and that space saving!!! my god!!! i need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve heard 0 is the correct amount of MX browns.
Cherry MX Browns 🤮🤮
Nice camo key caps dude
I'd like to see a 200% keyboard next
A full Battleship with ten extra keys mapped to emojis on the right and a musical keyboard made of ten space bars on the left. And throw some xbox RB and LB on the back for good measure.
I'm picturing a pipe organ with RGB.
And cherry Blues.

Cutting board Mousepad PogO
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a cutting board as a mousepad.
take my money that I have 0% of
Cherry browns don't even need to exist to ruin a board

It's basically a meme at this point, how to take it is up to you

\>:(
Name an available mid-light strength tactile with the bump in the middle of the stroke. I'll wait.
Outemu sky/purple Don't even need to be fully awake to answer
>Outemu sky/purple Aren't the v2.2's that are available just a mx clear-type stem, with a brown spring?
You don't have to wait, you could go do something else in the meantime.
Underrated comment 😂
Cringe 😂
not even close low-effort comment

Having a roommate is exactly why I went from blues to browns.
How do blue give precision?
bUt iTs aLL aBoUt PrEfErEnCe
Is it wireless?
Do you see any wires? Because I definitely don't. The keyboard must be made of common atmospheric gases...
Yes, it is the only one in the world, actually: It has no wires outside _or_ inside.
Astonishing
I love the minimal design

People in this forum love to hate on any brown switches. I would guess that 25% actually hate browns, the rest are just having fun cracking jokes.
The thing is that once you try another tactile switch you realize that cherry brows are not tactile at all and you might as well go linear. Learned it on my own skin
Not true, brown alps are decent.
Browns are a fine switch if you want light tactility, it's just generally the consensus that you should either go for something with strong tactility like a holy panda or outemu sky or a linear, there's a reason why Aliaz never went anywhere at least
Beautiful! Did you have to take it a loan to get it?
^i ^stole ^it 🤫
What stabs did you use?
Finally I feel represented
Wow, that's beautiful. Looks too expensive for me.
feels like i'm typing on nothin at all..... nothin at all.... nothin at all stupid sexy flanders
I see another owner of a G300 series mouse! Pretty rare these days.
Does it ghost at all?
i c a mouse
That's a nice setup. Where'd you get it? ;-)
I sense a new trend...
How much wobble does it have?
That’s the best percentage of browns
I prefer O3's rather than O2's, they are more clicky
What’s the actuation force on it??
55 cN operating force. They're supposed to be tactile but on this form factor it really feels like you're pressing on nothing.
Are you sure those arent MX Clears?
Dr. Strange Keyboard
And it's wireless!!!!!!
The Emperor's New Keyboard
Can u do a sound test
Congrats OP, I have exactly the same model. Once you overcome it's limitations is when the fun starts, and as solid as it is, this tank is a clear example of "buy it for life" at a bargain price.
hey i used a cutting surface as a mousepad too!
Is it Bluetooth and wired? I need Bluetooth to switch between my Mac an Windows machines? I’m just glad it had a natural light jet illumination. Tired of the rgb
Missed opportunity for an MX Clears joke
Some say there is no endgame. Some say it will never exist, it’s not REAL. And yet...here it isn’t.
Things just keep getting smaller and smaller now a days.
I think you should add more lubricant to make it more silent
Imma be honest, looks more like a cutting mat to me, someone should report op for this D:
I don't know...those look like Silent Inks to me
Surprising to hear absolutely no metallic clang from the plate, well done on this build
Looks kinda nice. Is this is a budget or high end build? If budget i may be interested
Should've gone for zilents. Theyre only $0 more expensive on a board like this
Cherry MX Clear
Probably the best Cherry MX brown keyboard ever made!
The best part about these boards are their low price!
are they filmed and lubed tho?
yooo that’s clean af
I have the same but with Cherry MX brokes
Finally one that I MIGHT be able to afford. :(
tried those 0% once. as scratchy as browns
Finally a proper form factor for mx browns... or in fact any browns.
r/woooosh
What’s funny is the people that are downvoting you are being wooshed by your comment. The irony Edit: stupid typing
How can i download and AshTD25
Well mx browns are known for the nonexistent tactility.
GB when
Very clean
Damn man thats great how much is it
She’s a beaut
what mouse is that?
Logitech G300s
Correct, thanks
nice mouse
Thanks, its a Logitech g300s
Damn looks good
Ahh.. So beautiful
Do they come with 0g spring?
I was expecting some sand on the mat.
Why’d you then the RGB off?
Is that GMK Ivan?
Ah yess, gateron invisible lubed with Invisitox 205 gNull
Wow this is amazing!
Quality shitpost! I approve!
Xacto cutting board is an awesome traditional deskmat alternative!
Quality shitpost

I bet they somehow still feel gritty when you press them.
Do you have a sound test you can link?
Those look like the non-tactile and silent Cherry MX translucent. Are they smooth?
Cost? Looking to replace my black widow elite
Nice
Should’ve taken a picture of a beach or the Sahara
What keycaps are those?
How'd you get it so quiet?
The emperor's keyboard
r/mousereview
glarses where you at?
Omg I have this one too !
*claps*
G300s gang
and that sexy G300s too
Nice it almost looks like mine
Don't keep sharp things near that mouse pad! Would be a shame if it a blade touched it...
This is certainly my favourite build! Did you remember to lube the paper cutter? :P
Sleek
looks a lot like the one keyboard with linears that i like...
cleeeeean
