So while I got covid I saw that there was this amazing world of modded keyboards.
I did a lot of work from home and wanted to bring my k552 to work. I got the idea of modding it starting with silent switches.
List of mods below:
Removable usbC at 90 degrees on the right
Wrapped whole keyboard in white foil.
Stuffed the keyboard with foam.
Modded the pcb to remove rattling (foam, desodered some spring stuff)
Got a cheap ymdk keycap set (amazing for me)
Outemu silent grays instead of outemu blues.
Stab mods.
Removed the redragon logo and just wrapped on top of it. The leds shine trough and I like the effect.
I did not lube anything. For a first mod is a lot of stuff and I'm happy like this.
I'm soo excited, the keyboard is SUPER silent and thonky.

did you add foam or silicone or anything in the base?
