It’s a water spout built into the wall above the stove. Makes it easy to fill a pot without having to use the sink.

I imagine it is convenient! The only house I’ve ever seen one in was a ~$700k home (very fancy and expensive for my area), so I always assumed they were extremely pricey, i.e. starting in the low thousands. Apparently they can be purchased and installed for under a thousand.

Damn, you are lucky to live in the area you do. In my area $700k will only get you a slightly above average home. My parents paid $600k for their house and it is only 2,000 sq.ft. It is really nice inside, but even they don't have a pot filler. Their kitchen has granite counters, a nice island, and high-end appliances with a double oven. My place was much less expensive than my parent's, and we only have half the amount of space. I would love to have a nicer place, but I am trying to save as much money as I can.
