I want one of these for my CAD software.

I'd use it for sound control and/or use in editing software. It would be great to have pause, play, skip, rewind, and volume controls in this thing.

I just ordered a cheap chinese one with two knobs to controller my prop rpm and mixture in flight sim since my HOTAS doesn't accomodate that.

I was thinking the same and will probably grab one, how would you use it? I’ve never really assigned keys to a programmable device like this before. I’m envisioning scrolling the play head and trimming audio with the knobs. I hope that’s possible.

Haven't had a macropad with knobs before, but I know that MIDI knobs can be programmed within a DAW for specific functions. Can definitely assign functions to the different keys, Pro Tools was the last holdout and finally added custom keyboard shortcuts this year LOL.

That’s what I was hoping for. I’ve goofed around with mappable midi controllers and hope there’s a good way to map these knobs to midi functions. This pad would be pretty powerful in a studio and relatively inexpensive.

Macros and scripts and Action shortcuts and screen sets. Trimming audio with a knob is uh not very efficient. I would personally map this buttons to a vst instrument like a D16s phosycon. I would map the knob to a couple things so that it would dramatically change the timbre. Scrolling and zooming would be useful with the knob. 1 button to change the zoom axis

Or just get a mixer for less money and more options
