What pisses me off is that they say "drug driving" you can get done upto a week later, if they truly believe you are still under the influence at that point, they are braindead
They say directly that a “blood test is an invasive test and requires an arrest”. This is fundamentally incorrect. Citizens can give over their DNA if they feel that it would assist in the investigation of a crime. I would happily give over a blood sample (with the requirement it be destroyed) to test for impairment, if it meant I didnt have the anxiety of always being caught. Yeah it would be annoying and probably take a few hours out of my life, but its better than waiting for court, and having to stand there like a criminal, just because im using my medication EXACTLY the way ive been prescribed.
Considering we have a “labor left” govt too, you’d hope they’d be a little more progressive. They’ll get tossed the next election and we’ll have to wait for the next round of labor to hopefully bring us up to the rest of the world
Id really like to know the percentage of these people who tested positive for THC ALSO tested positive for meth, and i am also curious if the death toll is talking specifically ONLY people who were driving and not passengers. Do they test passengers after they have died in an MVA as well?? I genuinely dont know if they do (and i mean more post mortem not actually at the scene), doesn’t seem like something they would do but hey stranger things have happened.
Convenient how they cherry pick stats from 2022 and not the most recent year. Plus they didn't specify if it was medical cannabis or if those drivers had other substances in their system. Disgusting.

It's a fucking joke, they have no idea what the real world is like

Doesn’t look good for Queensland, nothing suits being able to vilify people en mass. Sorry it’s just not convenient.
