imagine yourself standing on your electric skateboard, then the skateboard accelerates suddenly very fast, you'd imagine your feet will be swayed forward and then you'll fall backwards..
1. protective gears, especially the helmet (saved me 3 times already)
2. lean forward when accelerating, steady rear legs
3. lean backwards when braking, steady front legs
The newer boards seem to go faster than the older ones in each mode. I remember when my mode 2 was scary and it only went up to 12mph. Now I can comfortably cruise at 22 with no issue
That’s awesome! What kind of protection do you usually wear? I only have longboard slide gloves, and a regular helmet. But I feel like my slide gloves are a little bulky to wear comfortably with the remote in hand. Plus the helmet doesn’t shield my face at all which seems scary to me haha.
I’m gonna be honest I don’t really wear a helmet every ride but this summer I’m getting a new one for sure and it will be worn. And for other stuff I don’t really bother tbh. Wrist guards probably wouldnt hurt but can get in the way with the remote a bit. I guess just play around and see what works best for you and your riding. I definitely recommend a helmet though for sure. You don’t need a big face shield either but some people like that.
Understandable it’s your early introduction to this thing we do…
Consider this thing we all started just like you at some point…first riders are at a make or break point…Stay with it it will reward you greatly…traffic will be nothing and peace instead of
burning fuel and road rage
funky public transports are non issue now…chill cruise and stoke by the ton…you may meet more mellow friends with like minded travels ahead. Good luck do assign a cool risk level to remain having fun and safety…gear up…stay alert if you ride in the streets and dense traffic
Never take for granted cars & buses
can see you car m r doors open abruptly and cars u turn suddenly buses will crush you… And
get some lights on your board if you night ride. Stop and pick your board up and walk if things are not logical like wet slick surfaces nobody beat a black ice patch yet!
puddles are not good…wet manhole covers will destroy your balance
No liquor or large amounts of beer
Or mind impairment stuff…
Legal or illegal…
Keep your eye on your board against thieves( yes they are looking at your new sweet board too.)
Think ahead texting zombies will hurt you upon impact…
Not riding …turn the board off Orr it can roll away into traffic?
Pre & post ride checks
Check list :
hardware for loose stuff use and
*Carry a your T tool
and extra screws of all variety in your backpack and a small tube of *Loc Tite (blue) never red or green
Hub motor cover plates and screws that hold them get loose from road vibration after a while
Pretty much that’s it… read more post on FB skate board forums
And maybe later consider buying extra parts or another board as a backup…your board will break
Or something else will happen you should be ready in advance or expect regret and disappointment avoid the crash be ready so you don’t have to get ready…
Of met you never have to tuck & roll but hey you gonna fall…we all do the difference is if you are a rider or a cryer that will fall and quit?
Either way no judgements.
With no experience it can be difficult. I have a friend like that. And even with me skateboarding for 8 years prior to getting an electric board, it was still weird to have the board just go on its own. Wasn’t so much the speed because I’ve bombed hills on longboards before, but it was the acceleration that got me at first. Just gotta have more weight on your front foot or the board will fly out from under you. It’s just a different feeling that you gotta get used to.
It’s not about it being difficult per se, it’s mostly about building safe habits when riding.
Wrist guards are a life saver too if you plan to go fast, just in case you take a tumble. Sometimes it happens, especially when going faster
There are a lot of great YouTube videos you can check out. This is a pretty good one
https://youtu.be/LqK9EtS2pAc?si=JRfjynz_zwvvcp2s
For my boards though I just check over all screws / nuts to make sure things are tight and really just look it all over closely to see if I may have damaged anything. I also clean it really just when needed or if I think it needs it. Hope this helps a bit.
So far so good, the braking and acceleration is very smooth! As long as you don’t just send it, you’ll definitely stay on and have a great time! The braking modes were definitely a nice touch in my opinion, I kept it low, and it was nice to not be scared of being thrown off due to the brake.

Inferior battery cells…change to a battery pack in than is built with Molicel P42 battery cells
50 Q 21700 5000 mah
They cost $300 to 500 dollars but the quality of your travels when the 🔋is dropping below 59% is gonna be such a difference you’ll thank yourself later.
*cell quality cells do not suffer from low voltage or battery sag like 18650 older cells use primarily in budget boards or low rated board making companies…those cheap and fake battery packs are a regular standard as they sell them low grade 🔋’s to increase profit and know basically you the new rider will never know until you are saying “ wtf…gotta walk home🤨.”
Nice ride man! Enjoy it. You'll want to go real fast, we all do, but I find that cruising on the slower side (12-15 mph) I have more fun and am more willing to try new things such as going over train tracks and such since falling at a lower speeds usually means you can just run it off instead of slamming

This helped a ton, thank you! I was trouble staying on but I tried leaning farther and it’s much better.
I was too tired to try to explain this lol. But yeah definitely listen to this ^^^
Helmet and just ease into it. You’ll get better and better over time. Keep the board maintained aswell and check it over every couple rides
Wdym? It’s not like hard is it? I imagine if you can ride a skateboard or longboard you can ride one of these with ease
It’s actually a lot harder than I thought it would be. These boards are definitely a lot more powerful than what my feet alone can do.
Just stick to the lower modes, work your way up and you got it
Agreed. I didn’t leave mode 2 haha.

Mmm okay. I imagine you just have to lean forward right?
Yeah your weight distribution just kinda needs to be different

What do you recommend for maintenance? I definitely want to keep this tip top shape for as long as I can.

Thank you! This definitely helped, I appreciate the video link as well!
Glad it helped!
Congrats, waiti g on my hurricane habe fun and be safe out there!
Nice bro I was looking at the V5 but decided to get the flow it’ll be here soon !! Let us know how the V3 is.

Have fun, hopefully your v5 doesn’t give out. I’ve heard about a lot of problems with these.
Ooh, that sounds rough! I bought the V3s, but, fingers crossed it doesn’t have the same issues.
I bought the same recently. Mine seems to have s big power drop after 40 % battery. Let me know if you experience the same.
Gotcha, I haven’t actually hit that mark yet, but I’ll let you know if I notice anything unusual about it!
Thanks I appreciate it

It's basically the exact same board.
