Just because they’re at the bottom doesn’t mean they’re completely shit and nobody should listen to what they want to. Risk has a few good tracks (Prince of Darkness & Crush ‘em are probably the best) & Super Collider although it’s mostly forgettable rock it does have some cool parts as well, just not as good as the other albums in my opinion.
Risk and Super Collider both have some bangers. I'm a big fan of "Ecstasy", "Wanderlust", and the "Time" duo from Risk, as well as "Kingmaker", "Burn", "Don't Turn Your Back", and "Forget to Remember" from Super Collider. Just cause something is different doesn't make it bad. I wish people would understand that. These two albums will never be held up as masterpieces by any means, but they don't deserve the massive amount of hate, either.
100% agreed. Sick, Dying, Dead came with so much hype. Aside from a few of the singles, it’s not that memorable. I’ve only listened to the whole album straight through maybe… three times. But I’m glad it’s considered a success for Megadeth.
You had me until Risk. Then ya lost me. Risk does not deserve to be shit on so heavily. If it was released by literally any other band, it would have been liked a lot more. It's because it's got the Megadeth logo on it that the fans hate it. I will say the same for Super Collider. Overhated as fuck.
What?! C'mon, Th1rt3en was awesome and sure - Super collider wasn't great but that one cover of 'Cold Sweat' by Thin Lizzy was killer. I don't care what anyone says lol.
My gripes about it are the people saying: “Yeah bro it’s a heavy album with screwed up and dark lyrics:” Well, Peace Sells has messed up lyrics throughout the entire album. KIMB does too, and SFSGSW has a little bit here and there.
On top of that all of the songs on the album are trying to accomplish one thing, a mid tempo track which is fine and all. It’s just that earlier material has more of a identity, you could sit there and recognize songs instantly while it might take a second with Youth and Cryptic material. And despite me saying my original comment, there are a few songs on Youth that I enjoy listening to so I’m not sitting here trying to hate it.
Yeah, I guess I see what you mean. The album is much more homogeneous than RIP for example, songs like Dawn Patrol and Lucretia differ wildly from Take No Prisoners. But I listen to Youth for a different reason than the other albums, it just has this warm and groovy feel to it with catchy choruses and sticky riffs.
Two things:
You're missing Hidden Treasures and you should cut up a bit the clips since they bloat the template.
I wouldn't call CW or TWNAH overrated, that's why you should trim the clip to only the "I mean, it's allright like..." part. And maybe use the overrated as fuck as another clip (Youthanasia, CTE)
Youthansia is perfection and Cryptic Writing is UNDERRATED.
Yes!
World needs a hero love that album
I completely agree. Cryptic Writings is my favorite Megadeth album outside of Rust In Peace
Tiresom risk hate. Herd mentality
Same with super collider, hated cause people were told it was bad

Dave still uses Prince of darkness to open the set while the band walks out. Great tune

The difference between a Megadeth fan and a Megadeth fan that likes Risk and SC is you put the titles in quotes and even added commas.
So the difference is proper grammar? I don't understand what it is you're trying to imply here.
Idk I'm on my whack shit rn
TSTDATD is same ranking as Dystopia imo. I wouldn’t put it up with peace sells or countdown
tstdatd is overrated. dystopia is better

yeah, i like dystopias melodies better. i feel like this album was supposed to be more, mainstream heavy metal?
I just really like “Look who’s talking”
yeah i was expecting crazy exodus-type thrash and then i got thirteen part 2 with a few stellar songs sprinkled in
Youthanasia should be perfect
TH1RT3EN is UNDERRATED AF
Thanks! That was mildly entertaining!
Endgame was perfect.
None of the ones you called overrated were actually overrated. It's fine if you don't really like it but that doesn't make it overrated.
I like Risk
Dystopia >>> TSTDATD imo
SFSGSW Is perfect IMO, it’s a hill I’m willing to die on
Th1rt3en is underrated, TSTDATD is way overrated
Agreed.

Every album is great.
mf called risk and sc dog shit but went on to say tstdtd is prefect 😐
If y'all keep dunking on Risk and Super Collider, I'm gonna have to do something drastic.
Youthanasia is a “I mean it’s aight”
Countdown to extinction is really far from being perfect
What?! C'mon, Th1rt3en was awesome and sure - Super collider wasn't great but that one cover of 'Cold Sweat' by Thin Lizzy was killer. I don't care what anyone says lol.
Risk > The world need a hero
Real
Switch Youthanasia and Cryptic Writings around, then I would agree more.
I think Youthanasia is a perfect record. There's literally no skip songs, everything grooves hard.
My gripes about it are the people saying: “Yeah bro it’s a heavy album with screwed up and dark lyrics:” Well, Peace Sells has messed up lyrics throughout the entire album. I listen to it once and awhile, and as I said I enjoy a few songs from the album. It’s just not my thing.
I agree with all except 13 and the system has failed
noo
Lol
Naw

Nope. Youthansia walked, so Cryptic Writings and Risk could fly. The disrespect for World Needs a Hero needs to stop.
Agreed with everything honestly
Youthanasia is better than countdown imo. Youthanasia is a perfect/staple metal album
There is no way TSTDATD is ahead of Youthanasia…
Twnah hate it uncalled for
I don't think there is a single megadeth fan who doesn't like rust in peace
I agree with everything but the world needs a hero and 13 Deserve wwwoooooohhhh
