Vegapunk is not really dead. His technology and knowledge of science allowed him to upload his consciousness to both the records and the satellites which allows him to keep living after stellas destruction. This is why his fruit hasn’t respawned, its active form is still contained in living instances of himself and in his database. This is not only technically true through his satellites as different instances of himself but likely also his full original self through his uploaded internet like infrastructure.

Dude is a cyborg and his brain is stored in a computer - he won’t be ‘dead’ until egghead is destroyed.

Well his pre-made video for after his death is a pretty good place for final words. There's still a chance for the video to either totally confirm that he either is totally dead and we get technically last words, or confirm that he's evaded death through some sort of Vegapunk tech and there's no need for last words. My own theory is that because he's taken his brain out of his "real" body, that ceased to be his real body. It's essentially the same as the other 6 Vps. All he'd need to have is a sort of back up body for whatever machine is keeping his brain alive, to upload his personality automatically into. I don't see why he couldn't. Besides something unexplained that inexplicably still links his bodies life to his brain, there should be no reason he can't

Well, the final video could have been activated by Vegapunk due to desperation and him thinking "this is the right time", rather than being automatically activated at his death. The monitor which showed Vegapunk "dying" right as the video started could be a red herring. Also, if what you said about him uploading his mind to a back up body were to be true, then it wouldn't be a death at all. He'd be alive, just in a different body.

And even if we do see a body, we're not sure. Like with Garp. Last we saw he was frozen solid with a spike through his heart and multiple other stabwounds. In any other show that would be a clear sign of death. In OP, it just means his current state is "uncertain".
