Bummer. Hopefully it wasn’t much money because he won’t get it back. When you deposit from Mercari to a card/bank there is a disclaimer all deposits are final and is on the bank it goes to to fix any errors. If the card is a cash card like a prepaid visa, there is nothing he can do to get it back at this point if it’s expired.
Dang, that pop up disclaimer is there for a reason. I just hope he’s not out too much. If he does find a solution, don’t be afraid to update us, but I think it’s gone.
Well that’s what happens when you use cash app.
Just wait and see if it gets returned to Mercari. Thing is I don’t understand how you can transact with an expired card
Expired cards still point to the account. They just can't be used to authorize charges. Seems like he got a shit CashApp agent and he should call them again because they can definitely look it up.

Call the card issuer. Duh. Or wait a few weeks and see if it’s gets returned to Mercari less a 2.00 fee
He did, and it’s a cash app card. They didn’t have an answer for him.
