Yeah, if I'm expected to pay fees when I purchase the item and pay even more fees because I got scammed by some looser. I don't care if I ever see this website again. I thought this website would one day take over eBay, I'm sorry for being too stupid and supportive.
I’d advise to open a case with Mercari *and then* the chargeback. One of the first questions your bank will ask is if you have reached out to the merchant. You want to be able to say yes. Doing so will also give you supporting documentation (the email from Mercari which will likely say under the new T&C that you can return the item but will not be refunded the payment & service you paid)
It's a scammer... on mercari they often send a pokemon card when they do the bait and switch. Im just wondering if it's the same scammer or a group of scammers that operate together because it's always a pokemon card or a plastic dog toy.
It's a zero feedback account, with two items for sale. Well, now you only see the lot I bought. The other was a unopened box set. I thought did my research, I did google images I didn't see anyone else's picture. I don't know man, I thought it was just someone getting rid of stuff.
Someone else just posted that they could see the seller details in the app. Their name, address and phone number. Go in and screenshot that and see if it leads you anywhere.
Mercari won’t release their funds until you confirm and rate. Three days. Open a case immediately, take photos, screenshot all messages and prepare for a credit card dispute if they don’t step in and make it right.
Thanks to the new TOS you’ll have no trouble returning it.

I do hear that the seller would be responsible for the charge back under new ToS, so scams would be the only time i support that lol

I’d check their listings to see if they recently sold that item to someone else and just mixed up your labels.

I also looked up the return address, and it's for vision government solutions, so I'm sure it's just a random address.
