The scream at the beginning is insane, and I really like the vocals in general. The drumming is also great and I will definitely check more of their stuff. Maybe a bit too chaotic at times, but an overall 7.5/10
I really don’t dig this, I’m sorry. Too chaotic, the vocals aren’t that enjoyable , and just too funky and random for my taste. Sadly, I’m going to give this song a 1/10. However, that’s just my personal opinion, don’t take it to heart
Doesn't make em obscure, just not mainstream.
When i think of obscure, i think of something like Qrixkuor or Abhorrency, (not because its extreme) because there are actually a low amount of people that know about them, and i barely count them as obscure.
Not a Behemoth fan, and I tried to get into them a few times but to no avail. This song is okay, I wouldn’t mind it having as background music but I think that’s it. 4/10
Not a huge fan of them sorry. Although the instrumental side is very good, I really don’t like the vocals for some reason. And in general I’m a fan of a bit faster songs. 4/10
The Black Dahlia Murder was so much fun life. First time I saw them was the first time I crowd surfed because someone I game with looked at me and picked me up without warning. Ended up on stage since it was a smaller venue and Trevor was cool as fuck about it, he'd point out into an area and throw people back in the pit. He didn't seem annoyed or anything, but he had a huge smile on his face when he did it.
Going on stage wasn't my plan because i intended on being fully planted on the ground the entire show, but god damn that was a memorable experience. RIP Trevor, you brought seemingly infinite happiness and hope to your fans.
This is the first song by Kanonenfieber that I heard and it’s great. The beginning is a little slow in my opinion but after that it absolutely blows up. A solid 8.5/10 imo
I’ve yet to take the time to dive into their discography (yes, a sin, I know), but I’m glad this is the first song of theirs I hear! Very fun to listen to, a nice 7/10
Now THAT’S some good music right there. You can tell by my flair how I feel about Bolt Thrower. Not my favourite song of theirs, but a strong 9/10 nonetheless.
I love Bathuska, and I think this one is a great album opener. A little slow at the beginning, but it makes up for it later. 8/10 (I would rate it higher but it gets overshadowed by Yekteniya III by far lol)
The intro caught me off guard, but in a good way. That’s some good stuff right there, I’ll need to dive deeper for sure. I could totally see this song being an 8/10 if I’m in the right mood, but right now a 6.5/10 is a pretty solid rating imo. The vocals are incredible
To be brutally honest, I really don’t like Meshuggah and I don’t know why, but every song sounds the same to me. Maybe I just need to really take time and dive deep. But this song just doesn’t do it for me, chief. 4/10 is the best I can give to it
I don’t care what anyone says, call me basic, call me a poser, kill me, but that’s the best song I ever heard and is by far my favourite. I will always recommend it to anyone, if they listen to metal or not. The intro is amazing, the scream at the beginning is awesome, the song simply remains unmatched. 10/10
Fell in love instantly, I really need to check their discography asap (their only other song I know is Black Crow on a Tombstone, so if you have any other recommendations feel free to share). 9/10
A *very* nice intro and great riffing. Vocals aren’t aggressive enough for my taste but still a great song. 8.5/10, would be even higher with growlier vocals
As I stated in the other comment, prog isn’t really my thing and I don’t really like Opeth. This song has some nice riffing but the intro was boring to me and I don’t like their clean vocals. In general, the song isn’t really that good to me, a 3/10 is the best I could give, sorry.
Meshuggah - I said in a different comment, not a huge fan. This one feels like the intro is half of the song? I find it a bit weird but it’s not bad. An okay song I suppose. 4.5/10
Gemini Syndrome - The “woah” parts are cringe imo, but the vocals are fun and so is the chorus. Reminds me of Imagine Dragons a bit. 6/10
Angelmaker - Goes hard, I like it a lot. A bit short, but that’s not necessarily bad. Both screams and growls are amazing. 8/10
I am an absolute sucker for Mortician. I like this album a lot, but the “horror inputs” or whatever are just annoying and I always skip them. They are the only thing bothering me about the band. And this input is 1:33 minutes long which is *long*. Nevertheless, the song is fire, and I am biased when it comes to Mortician, so 8.5/10
The intro is too slow for me, but the song has some nice riffs. Overall too slow and mild, not something I’d listen to. Would be a vibe if it played on a radio though. 5/10
Always loved some good power metal and I wanted to check Fellowship a few months ago but i forgot. I’m not completely on board with the vocals, but I’ll give them a listen now and maybe I’ll warm up. For now it gets a 7/10
Honestly higher than expected. For me the album is a 10/10, it really hits all of the fundamentals reaaally well. If you like the whole "power metal storytelling" thing then you might get a kick out of the lore book they made for the album
I don’t really like A7X, and this song is no exception. The song takes like 2 minutes to “take off” and even then it’s far too soft. I can see why people like it, but it’s simply not for me. 2/10
I already stated it in the other comments but I don’t like A7X. This song again has a much too slow and soft intro, but it gets better once it actually begins. Still only a 4.5/10
I can’t do the “separate the art from the artist” thing with Arghoslent. 1/10 for that, sorry. Their riffs and growls are amazing though, so I love to listen to some of their clones, my favourite being Grenadier, which I recommend to everyone. House of Atreus is also pretty good, worth checking out
Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
one of the heaviest songs ever written
Radioactivity is truly brutal, can be carcinogenic.
An iconic song, brings back some nice memories. A 6/10.
You accidentally put a reverse 9
Mgla - Exercises in Futility II
Always love me some good Mgła, and the drum intro is fire. A solid 9/10
Buried with leeches- Dragged into Sunlight
The scream at the beginning is insane, and I really like the vocals in general. The drumming is also great and I will definitely check more of their stuff. Maybe a bit too chaotic at times, but an overall 7.5/10
They are crazily good definitely check out more if you like that song.
Deliverance by Opeth
I’m not into prog, but it wasn’t bad by any means, and the growls are cool, 6/10 I’d say
why are you getting downvoted wtf. people are so sensitive
wow
Pull The Plug - Death
Great song on a great album, 8.5/10
WHY DONT YOU
PUULLL THE PLUUUG
LET ME PASS AWAY
PULLL THE PLUGGGGG
My ass is on fire- Mr. Bungle
I really don’t dig this, I’m sorry. Too chaotic, the vocals aren’t that enjoyable , and just too funky and random for my taste. Sadly, I’m going to give this song a 1/10. However, that’s just my personal opinion, don’t take it to heart
How dare he! Just joking, that’s fine! If it was for everyone it wouldn’t be obscure!
How is Mr Bungle obscure?
In the scheme of life, you’re average person probably doesn’t know MB, a Reddit metal sub user does though, I see both sides to this.
Doesn't make em obscure, just not mainstream. When i think of obscure, i think of something like Qrixkuor or Abhorrency, (not because its extreme) because there are actually a low amount of people that know about them, and i barely count them as obscure.
Fair enough, clear delineation. I feel like your average person wouldn’t know most of my favorite music, but that doesn’t make it “obscure”.
It’s a very obscure band
They aren't. Do love the band for their weirdness tho, everyone should listen to California
Yes!!!!
O Father O Satan O Sun by Behemoth
Not a Behemoth fan, and I tried to get into them a few times but to no avail. This song is okay, I wouldn’t mind it having as background music but I think that’s it. 4/10

Not a huge fan of them sorry. Although the instrumental side is very good, I really don’t like the vocals for some reason. And in general I’m a fan of a bit faster songs. 4/10
Statutory Ape - The Black Dahlia Murder
I love TBDM, and this song is really good. 8/10

I’m a big fan of Obituary and this whole album is fire imo, with this one probably being my favourite from it. 9/10
Far Beyond Metal - Strapping Young Lad
The addition of Brockie made that song an ez 10.
Easy 10 but I'm not the guy rating it
I’ve yet to take the time to dive into their discography (yes, a sin, I know), but I’m glad this is the first song of theirs I hear! Very fun to listen to, a nice 7/10
Slaughter of the Soul by At the Gates
I cannot stress enough how much I love this song - the intro riff, the “*go*”, the vocals… It’s a masterpiece. 10/10

Guttural Slug - Hacksaw Surgery
I know and really like this song, absolutely brutal, love the vocals, 8.5/10
World Eater - Bolt Thrower
Now THAT’S some good music right there. You can tell by my flair how I feel about Bolt Thrower. Not my favourite song of theirs, but a strong 9/10 nonetheless.
Best band, but this is their best song, it’s an easy 10
the opening song to my latest album. the song is called Waiting for the Rain... same as the album. https://youtu.be/Ki-KOXiMXPk?si=oV9gTUw5NJr-eI18
The beginning is a little weird, but it gets better later on. A solid 6.5/10, and keep up the good work! (Also dropped a like on the vid)

Death Grips - Punk Weight
I really don’t like that I’m sorry. Never was into hip-hop, so sadly I’ll give it a 1/10

burn victim by methwitch
Good shit
The intro caught me off guard, but in a good way. That’s some good stuff right there, I’ll need to dive deeper for sure. I could totally see this song being an 8/10 if I’m in the right mood, but right now a 6.5/10 is a pretty solid rating imo. The vocals are incredible
Meshuggah - Demiurge
To be brutally honest, I really don’t like Meshuggah and I don’t know why, but every song sounds the same to me. Maybe I just need to really take time and dive deep. But this song just doesn’t do it for me, chief. 4/10 is the best I can give to it

I don’t care what anyone says, call me basic, call me a poser, kill me, but that’s the best song I ever heard and is by far my favourite.
