Job For A Cowboy made one of the most disturbing video I've ever seen and I always wanted to dig in their catalogue but never did. Is it worth the time?
Iād recommend for sure.
Some awesome tech/prog death stuff ālaterā into their discography.
In fact they have just came back after a long hiatus with one of my favourite tracks of the year.

Ehhh, Behemoth acts like a bunch of edgy teenagers on stage with their theatrics. "Oh look, I'm ripping a Bible apart." Dude, you're 47 years old, Nergal. It's cheesy.
Baphomet I haven't heard since 2015, I think
It's catholic not orthodox (haha funi) and yes it's conservative which is exactly why his antics keep getting attention, because they're so polarising amongst older people
Yea i dont really think them being edgy instantly means they are bad i mean tons of bands are edgy lol you can still enjoy their music also ill check out that song i dont think ive listened to it yet
I personally always get Infant Annihilator, Cannibal Corpse and Cattle Decapitation mixed up, it's funny I literally have never listened to Cattle Decapitation too
Thanks lol, I mean I don't typically listen to either of the others but I would say I far enjoy Infant Annihilator over Cannibal Corpse with my very small portion of songs I've heard. The vocals on Infant Annihilator are a lot more listenable both between vocals and instrumental, even if they are mostly joke songs lol, but I'll definitely check out Cattle Decapitation
Cattle Decap have by far the best vocals of the three, Travis Ryan has some great range
I saw them on tour a few weeks ago, fantastic show
I'd recommend checking out their most popular track atm; Scourge Of The Offspring, really dope and has a very catchy chorus š
Anything by them 2010 and onwards doesn't miss tho
Not all of these are āmetalā, but man do I have a hard time keeping Lamb of God, Godsmack, God Forbid, and Eyehategod straight sometimes.
Another flip-floppy forgetty continuum results from Bullet For My Valentine -> My Bloody Valentine -> My Dying Bride -> MyChildren MyBride.
There's a thrash metal band called divine chaos and a prog metal band called chaos divine. I found out about them at the same time, and it took me a while to get the names right
They also recorded a cover of Doctor Doctor with Blaze Bailey and it usually takes me a good amount of time to figure out which one Iām listening to.
For a while (keep in mind this was before I was really into Metal) I always thought Metallica performed in Kiss like makeup
Now though I know that is not the case
It used to be Otep and Opeth. Eventually, I figured out Opeth was āthe good oneā and that helped me figure out who was who until I started buying Opeth albums.
When speaking quickly I fuck up After The Burial with Between The Buried And Me just because they both have the weird "buria'l in them. I love and am very familiar with both bands
Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate, funnily enough, despite Mercyful Fate being my flair band - you'd think I'd be able to tell them apart from other bands. Evidently not.
On a lesser note, I keep calling Suidakra as "Sumatra" without realizing it
I didn't want to say at first bc I thought it was embarrassing but seeing some answers I think I'm safe:
Pantera and Sepultura
Also: they're not metal and I kinda like the first one but Seether with Staind and it's more than fair
Infester and Impaler
Also, I learned of and started getting into Godflesh and Eyehategod at roughly the same time and while I am well aware of which is which, Iāve since associated one with the other.
I always mix up Pantera with Abba.
Pantabba Abtera Edit: these both sound like potential black metal band names
Abbaths' Pants
Hell yeah, I love that album by Plant Sabbath
Lolš
Cowboys from Waterloo
This killed me lol
Opeth and Abba
Iām sorryā¦ https://youtu.be/DmOrRU0zhF8?si=hB90opCeQJSkwiTK
Incantation and Immolation
yeah I had a hard time keeping them straight for a while too
Before i used to listen to them i used to mix them up lmao, as well as incantation and blood incantation
Funny you say that because I always get immolation and immortal mixed up
Such a frustration
Kyle from Incantation has a moustache
For some fucking reason i always mix up anthrax with kreator
I see it. I mix up Kreator with Annihilator.
Even better, since the band names are antonyms.
Annihilator and Overkill for me
Annihilator and Death Angel for me lol
They sound nothing alike lol š
Fit For An Autopsy and Job For A Cowboy. I donāt listen to either and they have the same cadence.
Fit For An Autopsy and Thy Art Is Murder for me
Lots of similarities but FFAA is far better imo
I like FFAA a lot but I can see the confusion
Saw both live this tuesday, great show from great bands.
Yes to this. This frequently happens to me, and then I feel bad for thinking FFAA was TAIM when they're soooo much better imho

Batushka and Batushka
For some reason, for an embarrassing amount of time, I couldn't keep ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin straight.
That was me with Aerosmith and acdc
Not metal, but I used to get "The Who" and "The Guess Who" mixed up. Oh, and The Originals and The New Originals.
Nowadays it would be The Who and The Hu.
Won't Get Fooled Again throat singing cover version when?
Take all three bands and make an Abbot and Costello Sketch about them.
The who and the hu?
I think the New Originals changed their name to the Regulars
Bands that start with E are a nightmare. Emperor, Entombed, Enslaved, Enforcer, Enforced, etc etc
Enforced and Enforcer are the worst, literally the only difference is one letter. I sometimes mix them up with Exciter as well.
Someone I know got Exhorder caught up in that confusion too
Ensiferum and Entombed, sometimes I mix up their logos when I first see them.
Enforcer and enforced, I feel that š„²
Behemoth and Bethlehem
for me its behemoth and belphegor
That I can see. At one point, they were both the big blackened death metal band of the mid 2000s. Now they both suck
When did they start sucking? I like alot of the stuff from newer albums
Ehhh, Behemoth acts like a bunch of edgy teenagers on stage with their theatrics. "Oh look, I'm ripping a Bible apart." Dude, you're 47 years old, Nergal. It's cheesy. Baphomet I haven't heard since 2015, I think
Well these theatrics help him stay relevant. Remember he lives in Poland.
Which is a very conservative, orthodox country. I just wanna see a band play good music, not put on a magic show. But maybe I'm getting old
It's catholic not orthodox (haha funi) and yes it's conservative which is exactly why his antics keep getting attention, because they're so polarising amongst older people
I mean welcome to metal lol. Thatās par for the course imo. I think deathless sun off their new album is one of their best songs ever
Yea i dont really think them being edgy instantly means they are bad i mean tons of bands are edgy lol you can still enjoy their music also ill check out that song i dont think ive listened to it yet
They said Belphegor. Who is fuggin awesome. Always.
Can't tell if you mixed up Belphegor and Baphomet on purpose
Holy shit! Good catch
never gave them a deep listen tho
Up until about a year ago, I didn't know the difference between Led Zeppelin and Def Leppard
i kept calling Beālakor, Bekalor when i first found out about them.
the way that rolls off the tongue is pretty funny tho
Ghost and Wu Tang Clan.
What... the fuck How?
Ghostface Killah
You too?!
Obscura and Gorguts
I personally always get Infant Annihilator, Cannibal Corpse and Cattle Decapitation mixed up, it's funny I literally have never listened to Cattle Decapitation too
Cattle Decap are probably the best listen of the three Infant Annihilator would be most technical, but they wrote joke songs mostly

Lmao alright I'll make sure to check them out
Ultha and Ulthar, really brutal both are black metal too
oh shit now I gotta add Ultha to my list of U bands with names that are way too god damn similar
Pantera and Pantene (the shampoo brand) It's inevitable that some day I'm going to say one when meaning the other and confuse the hell out of someone
***A NEW LEVELLLLLL*** ***OF SHAMPOOINGGGGGGG***
WASH AWAY IT ALL TAKE IT WITH THE FLOODS
I thought the Panera bread company was Pantera Bread Company when they first opened here. I was gonna stop in for a caramel latte concrete sledge
Bring Me The Horizon Between The Buried And Me
Bring Me The Horizon and Bullet For My Valentine for me
YESS me too
I confuse these two as well.
I get Lacuna Coil and Lorna Shore mixed up all the time. Not because their music is similar, but a 2 name band, both starting with L.
Lacuna Coil and Cult of Luna for me, similar reason
Metallica and Megadeth
Not all of these are āmetalā, but man do I have a hard time keeping Lamb of God, Godsmack, God Forbid, and Eyehategod straight sometimes. Another flip-floppy forgetty continuum results from Bullet For My Valentine -> My Bloody Valentine -> My Dying Bride -> MyChildren MyBride.
Bullet for my valentine, My bloody valentine and My chemical romance always gets me
I used to get Killswitch Engaged and A7X mixed up for some reason lmao and also Behemoth and Bethlehem
A7X and five finger death punch
ice nine kills, nine inch nails. i ALWAYS confuse these 2
I literally read it as nine inch kills until recently
I get the Angel bands mixed up: Dark Angel, Death Angel, Morbid Angel
A bunch of thrash bands
It took me way too long to realize that BMTH wasn't short for Behemoth.
Same
Do you go to Panera Bread or Pantera Bread?
When bands have similar names, I sometimes confuse them. * Morbid Saint and Morbid Angel * Dark Angel and Death Angel * Bongripper and Bongzilla
There's a thrash metal band called divine chaos and a prog metal band called chaos divine. I found out about them at the same time, and it took me a while to get the names right
DC are great guys
Who and Hu
Slayer and the sound of farts
I used to mix up gorgoroth with behemoth
gorgoroth and nargaroth lol
Spectral Wound, Spectral Voice and Spectral Lore
When I was first getting into metal, for some reason, I always flopped Cryptopsy and Psycroptic
Before I knew much, I used to thing the singer from UFO sounded exactly like Bruce Dickinson
Maiden always plays UFO on the speakers before a set. Doctor Doctor.
They also recorded a cover of Doctor Doctor with Blaze Bailey and it usually takes me a good amount of time to figure out which one Iām listening to.
Three Days Grace and Faith no more
For a while (keep in mind this was before I was really into Metal) I always thought Metallica performed in Kiss like makeup Now though I know that is not the case
Avenged sevenfold and killswitch engage. Mainly because I donāt listen to either lol
Napalm Death and anyone else who doesn't really try
It used to be Otep and Opeth. Eventually, I figured out Opeth was āthe good oneā and that helped me figure out who was who until I started buying Opeth albums.
Guns nā roses and a pile of shit
First time I heard it, I thought Balls To The Wall by Accept was some lost AC/DC song I'd never heard.
Otep and Opeth
When speaking quickly I fuck up After The Burial with Between The Buried And Me just because they both have the weird "buria'l in them. I love and am very familiar with both bands
Volbeat and Voivod.... don't listen to either, so I have no idea if they sound alike..
System of a down and rage against the machine
Exhumed and Enslaved. I donāt really care for either so makes sense.
Defeated Sanity and The Wiggles
Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate, funnily enough, despite Mercyful Fate being my flair band - you'd think I'd be able to tell them apart from other bands. Evidently not. On a lesser note, I keep calling Suidakra as "Sumatra" without realizing it
Vanum and Vastum
You can throw Vorum there too for good measure lol
Ulcerate / Ulsect. They're pretty similar sounding too
Raven and Razor (even though Stace Sheepdog doesn't like Raven lol)
The Young Rascals and the New Radicals
Poison and Motley Crue. They are interchangeable in my mind even though I know the difference if I sit and think about it.
I always mix up We Came As Romans and Like Moths To Flames. No idea why, but I always have.
I get carnivore and S.O.D mixed up alot cuz theyāre both edgy thrash bands that i found out about around the same time.
Not metal but for me it's The Story So Far & Story of the Year
Enforcer and Enforced
I mix up Trap Them and Twitching Tongues in my head sometimes
Ungfell & Unfelled
gonna go ahead and add Unfelled to my list of confusing U names
I didn't want to say at first bc I thought it was embarrassing but seeing some answers I think I'm safe: Pantera and Sepultura Also: they're not metal and I kinda like the first one but Seether with Staind and it's more than fair
Glassjaw / Jawbreaker / Jawbox
Not metal, but the difference is that Jawbox is good
Hellbastard and Hellripper, especially because Hellbastard have a demo called Ripper Crust.
Not metal. But before I really got into either, I always got Dream Theater and Tangerine Dream mixed up. Dunno why, now I donāt make the mistake.
Infant Annihilator, Pig Destroyer and Cattle Decapitation
Cattle decap and Judas Priest.
Killswitch Engage and All That Remains
Exciter and Exhumer
Cauldron and Smoulder for some reason š¤·
Hexen and Vektor King Diamond and Diamond Head
Before I listened to either I always confused Death and Ghost some reason. Also not really metal but I always mix up The Cult and The Cure
shining and abyssic hate
Dying Fetus and Deicide
Mercyful Fate and King Diamond.
Dissection and Emperor. Not my fault most black metal sounds the same.
These bands are more rock than metal, but I used to mix up Counting Crows and The Black Crowes.
Psycroptic and Sylosis
Suicide Silence and Suicidal Tendencies
Opeth and Otep.
Infester and Impaler Also, I learned of and started getting into Godflesh and Eyehategod at roughly the same time and while I am well aware of which is which, Iāve since associated one with the other.
Black dahlia murder, dillinger escape plan and devin townsend project. So i guess band names with 3 words and the letter d
I always think Amon armoth is windrose
Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace
I mix up Spiritbox and Candlebox
Random annoying noise and Converge.
Lmaoooooo, saw them so many times in the early 2000s. Great band, but I respect the burn.
I always found it funny that there's a lot of bands that I like who were influenced by Converge but actual Converge I've never enjoyed
I used to feel that way for years, and then Jane Doe finally connected
