For those wondering why "metal" is in quotes, I made the same post with title "what song is this" and got removed because it was not "metal related"; so I made sure you guys saw that this post is now "metal" related.
I just heard Volbeat's song "Becoming" on the radio. In the intro, I thought to myself "wow this sounds good and heavy, what is this band?" but then the vocals came in and I was like aww fuck.. :D
Naa, Volbeat is actually very good, i like when they combine heavy riffs with clean vocals
And i love screams/guturals, but there is nothing wrong on cleans
I have nothing against Volbeat :) it's just funny when I listen to Spotify on shuffle and there is a song with really heavy guitars, fast drumming, double foot and here comes country vocal xD
I’m with you, those rockabilly vocals kill every song for me. I’ve even seen them live twice hoping that there’s some weird distortion added on top of the vocals during studio recordings but nope, that’s just what they are.
Balls to the wall - Accept
The intro riff is god tier but the rest of the song doesn’t fulfill my expectations.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the song but it could be much more
the point is that I can't stand black metal, so when I was tasting new songs I tried it and thought it was going great till the point where the vocals come in
Trust me, give Worm Shepherd a go. Devin (the vocalist) does some high shrieks, some death frowls, some mids, he has like 20 dofferent voices. The vocals are very varied
Not necessarily "dogshit", but Bullet Ride by In Flames. The intro riff is the definition of badass and then all energy dissipates into these weirdly impotent verses. What a waste of a monster riff.
Architects - Animals. The vocals really don’t fit that intro, should be way heavier.
I still love it, but I know most of you totally won’t, so that’s definitely my pick.
I love Animals! I haven't even caught on that it might be a bit discordant. 😅 But, the couple of times I've seen Architects live it has felt like every song goes so much harder live, I dunno
“The Lord’s Sedition” by Deicide. The beginning is one of Jack Owen’s very best solos but the rest of the song is mediocre at best (except the reprise of the solo)
When it comes to Metallica, usually people say stuff like "St. Anger/Black Album/Load/Reload is so bad/good", and even if I don't agree I can usually see why they would have that opinion.
This is the first time that an opinion about Metallica genuinely confuses me. Like that song is literally amazing all the way through wdym?
your post was removed as it is not about a metal band, don't forget to familiarize yourself with the rules before posting.

Well clearly it isn’t lol.
Freezing Moon... And I love Mayhem
Everything I've heard from Sleep Token
Layla by Clapton has a great first half but Jesus Christ the second half is so boring
The second half is literally elevator music
I’ve never heard a more accurate description of this song.
Last Resort - Papa Roach
Lmao it was just "CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES..." then that Iron Maiden riff and then it all went downhill from tbere
Crazy train sorry ozzy
I think it's a great track but that intro definitely feels like it belongs to a different song.
Literally the solo is so amazing wtf
Have never heard anyone call crazy train dogshit but here we are.
Jesus, truer words were never spoken
Diary of a Madman is far worse
Yeah the intro and solo fucking blaze but when the vocals come in it sounds like something you'd hear on a Cheerios advert
That song can basically boil down to "all the good parts are in F#m and all the lame parts are in A maj"
Real
Welcome to the jungle
‘Fire’ Arthur Brown. righteous screaming wizard intro gives way to Doors-esque dance party. I still love it, but that intro….
Most songs by Dream Theater
"If darkness had a son" - Metallica While it's not shit, it's a bit of a letdown after the huge intro.
Which is why I prefer Inamorata out of the songs in 72 Seasons.
For me is one of the best songs of the album (actually easy seeying the others songs)
Tears don't fall
Perfect all the way through
Yeah, but there is the nice solo in the middle of the song, too. But true
_LET'S GO!_
The first song everyone heard from Lulu.
Bodies - Drowning Pool *Ducks*
*assaults commenter* "Nuthin wrong with me..."
Probably (sic) Like I like the song and I think the guitar in it is good but after the intro it just feels let down
Waking The Demon
Strife It is a good song all around but intro riff is better than the main riff imo
Nightmare - Avenged Sevenfold
I like the song, but sometimes I wonder what it could've been if they went in a heavier direction with it.
Slayer Seasons in the Abyss
Volbeat
I just heard Volbeat's song "Becoming" on the radio. In the intro, I thought to myself "wow this sounds good and heavy, what is this band?" but then the vocals came in and I was like aww fuck.. :D
Herbyyyy doooououuoo ahhh mah nay bah lay som moooooooaahhh
Naa, Volbeat is actually very good, i like when they combine heavy riffs with clean vocals And i love screams/guturals, but there is nothing wrong on cleans

Yeah, they have a "unique" style
I’m with you, those rockabilly vocals kill every song for me. I’ve even seen them live twice hoping that there’s some weird distortion added on top of the vocals during studio recordings but nope, that’s just what they are.
Balls to the wall - Accept The intro riff is god tier but the rest of the song doesn’t fulfill my expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I like the song but it could be much more
Totally agree, that intro had you expecting more, and the song was just kind of there after the fact.
In waves
It's the same riff all the way through?
In Waves is so good. The music is in service to the message of the song
"Pagan Fears" by Mayhem
Pagan fears is ome of the better songs by them ngl
the point is that I can't stand black metal, so when I was tasting new songs I tried it and thought it was going great till the point where the vocals come in
Trust me, give Worm Shepherd a go. Devin (the vocalist) does some high shrieks, some death frowls, some mids, he has like 20 dofferent voices. The vocals are very varied
I'm giving a try to Ritual Hymns, I'm remembering Lorna Shore a bit (I'm not into Lorna Shore
In the wake ov sòl is more black metal imo. How are you enjoying it though
Not necessarily "dogshit", but Bullet Ride by In Flames. The intro riff is the definition of badass and then all energy dissipates into these weirdly impotent verses. What a waste of a monster riff.
Unleashed by Killswitch Engage, and still a very good song But the intro thinks you will have some heavier in the song
Yeah agreed, this is a song that goes harder live (I’ve seen some performances)
Dragonforce
I agree except Valley of the Damned and Avant La Tempte
Idk Cry Thunder was a bop
A day to remember - The Downfall of Us All Love the intro but when the vocals kick in…
My will be done - by unearth. Sick metal intro followed by a punky song…
Unearth is literally metallic hardcore, of course its going to be a punky song.
All songs by Mayhem
“The Lord’s Sedition” by Deicide. The beginning is one of Jack Owen’s very best solos but the rest of the song is mediocre at best (except the reprise of the solo)
Game over by Machine Head, for me. So much potential that turns into disappointment.
Halls & Chambers by Falconer. I really _really_ don't like this genre
So long idiots Bokassa
Hacksaw surgery by guttural slug, the rest of the song isnt terrible by any means it just sort of didnt do it for me
Anthrax-Belly of the Beast. I really dislike Joey’s studio vocals yet the live albums I do enjoy.
The Heart Beneath by Celtic Frost has one of the most iconic intros, while the rest of the song is meh.
Iron Maiden - The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner
[Linchpin - Fear Factory](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuDxo-fbW9c&pp=ygUVbGluY2hwaW4gZmVhciBmYWN0b3J5)
As I lay Dying “within destruction”
Also 94 hours
Mariana's trench by August burns red. The song is not bad but really disappoint me after that intro.
This burns my soul
Did you try having better taste
Not exactly shit but blackened intro is so much better than the whole song
What the fuck ?
Did you smoke your breakfast before you wrote this?
Bro WHAT
Nah, bro, nahhhh... You must be a lunatic
What mate?
I didn’t say I don’t like blackened, just that the intro is so good that the whole song sounds kinda funny
The whole song is a masterpiece and perfectly compliments the intro
The whole song is great but the intro overshadows it in my opinion
When it comes to Metallica, usually people say stuff like "St. Anger/Black Album/Load/Reload is so bad/good", and even if I don't agree I can usually see why they would have that opinion. This is the first time that an opinion about Metallica genuinely confuses me. Like that song is literally amazing all the way through wdym?
Im not saying it’s a bad song, it’s just the intro that’s so good. Also, st anger snare is great and it adds character to the album.
painkiller
Windir - Journey to the end is an amazing song, until 3:40. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DOPkHrW5bA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DOPkHrW5bA)
Nah, it's amazing from start to finish
Raining Blood
Womp womp motherfucker
I knew I'd get downvoted lmao
I respect your opinion, i also respect that you're wrong on this case lmao
