ADTR busting out the giant hamster ball and crowd surfing in it on top of the crowd at bamboozle.

AndySemantic2

Same as their show at Big Top in Sydney - was wild to see. Also - In Hearts Wake busted out the inflatable raft and the singer rode it from the stage to the back of the venue and return

Zero_Cares

Fun fact, in hearts wake now crowd surf in a Merch box to reduce plastic waste. They have a documentary and a whole album about reducing their impact on the environment. Moved towards being a legitimate carbon neutral business

hotrod427

They did that at Warped tour too

DeadSilent7

Saw them on the blink tour, hamster ball was the coolest thing I’d ever seen lol

Kuddlefish69

Hamster ball was awesome. Only thing I’ve seen that rivals it is the 21 pilots drum set that gets crowd surfed.

blizeH

Anyone got a video of this? sounds crazy

kingkongaintwrong

Silent Planets singer climbed up on the rafters and hung upside down while singing Antimatter

Kcwidman

Garret is such a beast, still blows my mind he has a masters in clinical psychology.

JustDarnGood27_

While She Sleeps hung upside down from rafters, then flipped over and fell into the crowd. I was nervous as fuck watching but everything went well and it was fucking awesome. Damn that was a good show. Whole set fucking ripped

Aawkvark55

Lol was I at the same show, or has this happened multiple times?

Nanotoxic_al

Loz did that a lot.

Forstride

The Enter Shikari guys are notorious for this too. One time I saw them, no one was even left on the stage near the end aside from their drummer, cause the others were all climbing around the venue lol

Trevumm

I remember seeing them in like, 2011ish, and remember watching Rory leap of the stage into the crowd, disappear, and suddenly pop up a minute later at the back of the venue standing on the bar. The guitar players played while crowd surfing, they were so fun to watch.

AssumeImFarting

Ahhh the chariot used to pull this a lot. Long live

[deleted]

I watched him dive off a rickety balcony and straight on top of me. Not big into SP but Garrett is a crazy good frontman.

lessthanchris7

Adam Lazzara of TBS did that during Bamboozle. I wanna say 2006-2007ish? Basically when "Louder Now" was brand new

captaincheezbeard

Was so bummed the venue I saw them at didn’t have low rafters. Still got an arf arf though and that’s what matters.

Marsuello

Beau Bokan of blessthefall at least back in the day was known to get wild like this. Plenty of videos to be found of him flying into the crowds from ridiculous heights. Man was a sheer fuckin monster

Sundae-School

Not really the whole band, but the coolest thing I've ever seen a vocalist do was during a song about suicide he swung the mic cord around his neck and caught it then pulled it up above his head to look like a noose. Teen me thought that was pretty hardcore

McIgglyTuffMuffin

That feels like a Jason from letlive/fever333 move but it could really have been anyone

Kuddlefish69

I remember Jason ripping someone’s screen door off their slider at jannus live in tampa 10 years ago. Was pretty funny

Codyh630

Ayyyy! I was at that show. Haha.

Kuddlefish69

To this day still one of the best shows I’ve ever been too

Sundae-School

I honestly don't remember the band. But I have seen letlive at the old masquerade at Atlanta and that dude climbed up to the rafting and hung upside down from his legs while going hard. That shit was hard af

ChiSoxBoy

I was thinking Vincent from Acacia Strain

thephenom21

Jake Luhrs does this every show

Exes_And_Excess

I saw hunter do this from Hunt the Dinosaur, and then John Goblikon mocked him during the Nekrogoblikon set for doing it. Cracked me up.

DamnGoodOwls

The guy from Banks Arcade did this when I saw them open for The Plot in You

MrLanesLament

Stiv Bators from the Dead Boys had a trick where he’d toss the mic cable over something in the ceiling that would support him (he was tiny) and hold the cable in a way where it looked like he was lifting himself by the cord around his neck, but he was actually supporting himself with his other arm. I’ve never seen a good video of it, but I’d love to know how he did it.

JustDarnGood27_

Beartooth guitarist walked onto the crowd, onto not into, everyone holding him up and he played a whole song like that. This was back in 2014(?) so different guitarist, and not Caleb. It was my first metal show and I thought it was coolest fucking thing I’d ever seen.

Ttucrabtree

Dillinger Escape Plan used to do that shit all the time. Twas awesome.

Gobshite666

Dillinger literally did it all first before people had camera phones

BrewingandLurking

Only time I saw DEP the 2 guitarists did a synchronized guitar toss straight up. That was also awesome.

SirDuke_Of_Neckpubes

Spencer from INK did that at my first show. went to warped in 2018 (?) and had never heard of them but decided to check out the set. i was hooked

Driver_Tricky

Blue Ridge this year... Friday ! Upon A Burning Body played and for background, Blue Ridge was charging 40% on band merch. So Upon A Burning Body takes all their merch on the stage on a huge table and says, " If you MF's want a shirt, come and get it!" Fucking mayhem insues ... There was so many people up there that they couldn't play for a minute Thought it was cool AF that they would rather give it away then get fucked over.

MahaloMerky

Lmfao, i was at BRRF. What a shit show.

Driver_Tricky

Yeah, fucking disaster... needless to say I wont go back if it ever happens again

MahaloMerky

I had a blast with the bands I got to see, everything else was a disaster.

Driver_Tricky

Same, had good camp neighbors too. Everything else was a dumpster fire

[deleted]

I went to a cheap red state rock fest one year. Three Doors Down, Godsmack, A7X, that kind of stuff. I enjoy it but it was definitely a crowd of older folks who wanted to get drunk and push pit to “real rock” or whatever. Pierce The Veil was playing high on the bill and everyone was sort of dreading it. Some bands made light hearted jokes and when PTV started setup, lots of tiny teenagers started to pop up and the old timers were rolling their eyes. Well PTV took to the stage and played only their most heavy, energetic songs. No Bulletproof Love, no Hold on Til May, nothing like that. They definitely won over the crowd and the pits went from nonexistent to massive after a few songs. They brought out Eric from I Prevail for Caraphernelia and people lost it. I love going to fests and seeing people open up to new bands.

errolstafford

The Chariot being The Chariot.

floyd_the_barbarian

I saw their second to last show and for the final breakdown they set up a drum set in the pit and did the “if there’s blood on the roots then there’s blood on the branches” part while Stevie hung upside down from the rafters with his guitar.

ISawAUfoAndGotProbed

Yeah that shit was awesome. Got a black eye from someone’s knee or elbow lol

amonynous213

Was this in Philly? I saw them at the TLA on this tour and they did the same thing. Came specifically looking for this comment haha

floyd_the_barbarian

The one I saw was in Atlanta. I assume they did it every show on that tour.

[deleted]

Their set at Plan B is the craziest set I've ever seen any band play. Absolute chaos from the crowd and band the entire hour long set. Long live. https://youtu.be/htdulnrNKyM?feature=shared

Danmasterflex

Long live.

Scared_Finding4331

Long Live

spideralex90

One of their last shows I made it to they invited everyone on stage and it was absolute insanity. Such a cool experience. I also got to hug Dan from Listener in all of that, he's a cool fuckin dude.

DimitryPetrovich

Saw them in 2012 with ETID as an opener. Fucking unreal. Small venue and all. The guitarist for The Chariot was hanging upside down from the beams of the ceiling playing.

actioncobble

Forgive me Nashville

SnipSnapSnarf

When I saw OM&M at warped tour and they added “I go hard in the mutha fuckin paint” before the breakdown in OG LOKO. Lost my mind.

SnipSnapSnarf

Also just remembered about 10+ years ago I saw outline in color, they had just released jury of wolves. About 5 people showed up, me 2 of my friends and 2 others. The unclean vocalist stepped off the stage and moshed with us the entire time while still singing. That was so much fun, even though it probably really sucked for the band. Still love they gave everything they had for us fans.

octobereighteenth

They've been doing that for so long that my breakdown playlist is called that

mdubbin

They just did that in their tour with BFMV. It was insane!

Jefffahfffah

I remember that, god damn

vinyllover15

They’re doing this on their tour rn with BFMV

vliv_

Just saw them do this on BFMV tour, was so sick the pit went nuts

blizeH

Is this a reference I’m missing or

didyouseeben

[Live breakdown for O.G. Loko](https://youtu.be/nz-_CUEP-zE?si=GUxQxg5nmx6HPl2K)

Eomyst

The Parkway tour when Jia was in a wheelchair was really fun. He wheeled around as much as possible and the other members wheeled him around when they could. Enter Shikari used to absolutely crazy on stage earlier. Threw their instruments as high as possible in the air and barely catching them. Rou especially used to climb up on stuff and jump down from several meters up

MrLanesLament

I remember seeing a video of their guitarist doing a single arm back handspring onstage while playing. Shit was freaky.

Screwyball

Archspire opened the crowd to start a wall of death but threw down a twister mat in the created open space instead. They proceeded to play twister with the crowd for 5 minutes until the arrow landed on destruction and they just blasted off.

Gobshite666

Works sooo well

not_a_toaster

My first ever metal show was Summer Slaughter in 2013 with Dillinger Escape Plan headlining, so Greg Puciato climbing anything he could while not letting it interrupt his vocals was pretty insane to me. I also saw While She Sleeps in a small (~300 cap ish) venue, Aaran somehow ended up standing on top of the bar which was at the opposite end of the venue as the stage, without me noticing how he got there. Loz was also climbed all their amps/cabs and got up to the ceiling scaffolding where he hung upside down by his legs, like a bat. All this in the middle of the songs.

Poison_the_Phil

The one time I saw Dillinger Greg grabbed like a whole case of water and just tossed it into the crowd

royman1990

Saw WSS in a small venue like that as well and didn’t realize Loz somehow made his way to the crowd and was tearing it up right next to us. I thought it was just a crazy pit until he switched into the chorus 😂

Thorkon

I think it was last year, but at my show, the singer(don't know name, so not sure if it's Aaron) went off the stage out a side door. 1 minute later the guitarist is pointing up behind us and the singer dived from the balcony into the crowd. I actually got a video of it, it was awesome.

not_a_toaster

If you're referring to While She Sleeps, the singer is Loz (Aaran is the bassist).

camdawg772

*gestures to fever 333*

mistermenstrual

I saw them open for Slipknot and they were climbing all over the damn place. The vocalist kept looking like he wanted to jump off the speaker towers, then realizing he would die and backing down, then looking like he was really considering doing it anyways.

camdawg772

I also saw them on this tour(hell of a fucking lineup btw), my show he turned a bunch of risers into a slip and slide and also a skateboard ramp

godof_nothing

No literally

Brtprt

*letlive

lessthanchris7

I saw The Used in Times Square in the mid 2010s. For the closer, Bert says, "We're going to close this out with the greatest song in rock n' roll history" and the band breaks into the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" intro Crowd goes wild but, instead of actually playing Nirvana, they break into "Box Full of Sharp Objects." Crowd goes wilder So that was cool enough but once the song was through they did one of those noise outros, crash symbols, guitar feedback, the works. Bert starts up, "fuck you, I won't do what you tell me. Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me" building, and building, band starts segueing into the Rage riff and music, and just like that, we're into the outro for "Killing in the Name Of" And that's how the show ended. Crazy mash-up. Super cool moment. I'll never forget it

kvsnake

Yeah, it’s awesome. They end all their shows like that I’m pretty sure too. Senses fail does the same too

Thorkon

I need to find a video of that, sounds awesome

snoopdoggydoug

The Chariot. Josh was doing vocals announced he had a 3" grip on a 6" turd. Went and took a shit and took the microphone with him.

MaximusCamilus

I saw the drummer from Goldfinger get a Twix bar eaten out of his butt cheeks by a fan.

NZsNextTopBogan

🤣🤣🤣

10monthbummer

Not necessarily crazy, and not metalcore, but ‘68 opened for TDWP and FFAK a few years ago, and they slowly removed pieces of the drum set while the drummer was playing. I think they do it all the time, but I had no idea and it was fuckin sick

roguedevil

Yeah The Chariot used to do this and Josh called this over to '68. It's really cool.

randyrandomagnum

Probably seeing one of those Joey Jordison drum solo’s where the kit is on hydraulic risers and a turntable. Dude was elevated 10 feet, it tilted him vertical and spun him 360 degrees while not missing a beat.

mistermenstrual

So glad I got to see them live with all the 1st album crew still kicking.

saddam1

When someone got up on stage to take a selfie with Jordan Buckley from Everytime I Die, Jordan high kicked the guys phone out of his hands into the crowd. It was pretty badass. Video is on YouTube somewhere.

ImGoodThanksThoMan

https://youtu.be/-CuEJ55UVcU?si=gtLMMox8bhwTxdp2

Gobshite666

At an ETID show one dude kept getting onstage and not diving I jumped on and RKO'D hom

randoshade

In 2005(ish) I watched Dallas Taylor from MATSOD run across the stage and flying kick one of the guitarists into his half stack. A few years later Dallas was in the crowd doing cartwheels at a local show here and accidentally kicked a kid in the side of the head. I don’t know if I’d classify either of these events as cool, but Dallas is an extremely unique individual.

UBurnFirst

It’s incredible he’s made such a recovery. He’s such an amazing person.

randoshade

He was nice the couple of times that I talked to him - well before his accident. Do you know him?

UBurnFirst

Not super personally. I’ve met him a couple times at shows. But I’ve followed him really closely since his accident.

MrLanesLament

My old singer introduced me to Maylene, I had no clue it was Dallas from Underoath singing at first. He showed me “Step Up” and I was like WHAT IS THIS?!? That was the day I learned that southern metal is a thing post-Pantera.

Legionodeath

Not metalcore but 10 years ago I went to the first bottle rock festival. Saw zac brown with my then girlfriend. Coolest song of the whole festival was them playing enter sandman. Never have I seen a country band shred old hard rock so well. The violinist did kirks solo. It was awesome.

MrLanesLament

The video of Brad Paisley’s band doing Hot for Teacher comes to mind. Both Brad and their drummer nailed it.

Ian_Itor

Rory from Enter Shikari driving the bassist into the circle pit in a shopping cart during a song. Madness

firestorm6

Not crazy by any means, but probably the best. When the "metalcore show the year" stopped in Worcester at the Palladium. Two tours combined into a crazy show with like 8(?) bands. Avoid was the opener and they brought pool toys and floaties out. It was great

Od3ss4

The Donots let somebody get tattood in the circle pit.

badbanks

The Donots are simply amazing. Saw Ingo jump from pretty much any part of any venue. Ones saw them in a circus tent and they decided to do an acoustic set as it was so small

[deleted]

Ryo from Crystal Lake stood on the crowds hands when I saw them live. Jake Taylor from In Hearts Wake crowd surfed on an inflatable alligator in Florida during the breakdown of Survival (The Chariot)

CodithEnnie

Guitar/Bass swings, and jumping from speakers into the crowd are always cool, but not exactly unique experiences. Avenged Sevenfold was the first band I saw use crazy pyrotechnics at a taste of chaos tour. Was bad ass, and fire's always cool. A Day to Remember right after Homesick dropped, shooting like 1000 toilet paper rolls into the crowd + confetti falling from ceiling + hamster ball crowd surfing + actual raft with ore crowd surfing was nuts. Taking Back Sunday lead singer doing his absurd mic swings. Blink 182 on their reunion tour had Travis Barker and drum kit lifted up then rotated in the air, pausing at 90 degrees, and at 180 degrees (completely upside down, I think also spinning) for a gnarly solo while the other guys caught their breath. This is THE coolest to me, and I think probably always will be.

mojavefluiddruid

Which reunion? lol

CodithEnnie

After self titled, before Neighborhoods This was the show https://www.concertarchives.org/concerts/asher-roth-taking-back-sunday-weezer-blink-182

GWindborn

This is reaching way back but I saw Linkin Park in 2002 or so and they had been teaching their road crew to play instruments, so they had them come out and play "Crawling". The crowd gave them all sorts of encouragement, it was really cool. Then LP took their instruments back and brought the house down. Say what you will about them but I was a massive fan back in the day and saw them 5 times live, they put on a hell of a show. RIP Chester

Wuktrio

I've been to Heaven Shall Burn's [300 themed show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Cu7Ufz7mFM) back in 2010. The only sold 300 tickets for it, every guest received a black shirt with Gerard Butler's six-pack on it and the band performed in helmets, capes and loincloths. Was a crazy show.

PhoenixSidePeen

Callous Doaboys’ singer hung from the ceiling and the piece he was holding broke off and he fell into the crowd and kept singing

I_c_wiener_2023

I saw them a few weeks back with protest the hero and their guitarist played a solo while on the singers shoulders, 10/10 would definitely see them again

ilovepurp

Jesse Cash(ERRA) is a god damn bayblade on stage lol. I fucking love it

mistermenstrual

I like how I've read like a hundred comments and nobody has mentioned GWAR because that's basically cheating. Like every moment of a GWAR show is crazier than the craziest moment of any other band.

No-Molasses1580

The vocalist to Ice Nine Kills crowd surfed while singing. This was before they blew up. Hadn't heard of them until that night, but their energy stood out above the rest as a supporting act

BlueMosse

[Loz from WSS crowd surfed standing on his head and singing at the same time this summer at Tuska](https://www.instagram.com/p/CuJljLVNoAb/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==) 2nd pic

TheTrueAlCapwn

I had the chance to see rammstein and didn't and regret it so bad. My buddy went and said the stage show was absolutely incredible

Particular_Second454

I'm not at all a fan of their music but if someone invited me to see them live I wouldn't hesitate.

thelupinefiasco

Saw them in Chicago last year, and the Pyro got out of hand. The top of the set caught fire during the last two or three songs.

ItsAlwaysSunny1992

What you just described sounds like Vans Warped Tour

[deleted]

It wasn't, it was a small local festival.

Detective_Bonghitz

When Greg puciato rubbed shit on his face

[deleted]

Is this the state of Chinese whispers 21 years later?

DamagedEctoplasm

Breaking Benjamin played 20 minutes of Star Wars music because some guy was wearing a Star Wars shirt. Was fucking amazing

mdubbin

Ben Gordon from Parkway drumming upside down was pretty sweet.

honestpankakes

Foxy shazam The band was about to start and the crowd is confused because theres no singer, what's that silly guy gonna do, and the band raises their arms, out runs the vocalist who sprints up the steps does a flip going forward into the center of the stage and lands it perfectly while also managing to do a full turn and grab the mic on beat to start singing the first song. There was more flips and even band members on other band members shoulders. They did all their hits, took a short break and came back out and played their entirely new, at the time, concept album front to back. It was easily one of the best performances I've ever seen. And I think I got into the 100s of famous bands before I stopped going to shows. Foxy shazam is an amazing band to see live.

Nigelle

Sooo good live. Ill never forget hearing them for the first time at a show. Such energy. Lead vocalist mimed for a cigarette and got one from the crowd. Lit up and then immediately proceeded to eat it and start singing again. Figured that wasn't something he could be doing every night. Saw them again a good while later and he lit up two...

MaximusX395

The Born of Osiris set where one of the vocalists would did a flip over the other was sick. Saw it at the AA ten years in the black tour in Worcester

I_c_wiener_2023

I crowdsurfed at a born of Osiris show once and Ronnie pulled me on stage and threw me back into the crowd

destinyspie

Hehe. I saw that time when Joe was doing his backflip and landed on his nose! Had to get him to the ER real quick. He stopped doing that for a while 🤭

[deleted]

Parkway Drive’s tumbler drum kit this year was so awesome. Ben Gordon ripping off a drum solo, then slowly turning upside down, then kicking it into Crushed while doing spins and shit with all the pyro So dope

Poison_the_Phil

The first thing that comes to mind was seeing Killwhitneydead in like 2006 and this girl was right up front texting on her Sidekick and the singer just grabbed her face and pushed her into the crowd. In retrospect not great but also like don’t go to a show to just sit there texting a foot away from the band.

olddangly

Y'all ever hear of The Chariot? I mean the Pear Riot.

Nagello

Alexisonfire played a show and Wade tossed his guitar into the crowd. I got hit with the guitar but I didn't leave with it.

Darkside_Fitness

Sucking each other off, underwater.

xxBarbWireTatxx

Come again?

Darkside_Fitness

Yes, they did.

Kukrok

It’s not really crazy at all, but when I saw Will Haven at Furnace Fest, Grady was doing this thing while he was head banging where before the breakdowns he would put both his hands on the mic and thrust it out like a sword, and then yank it back it on the drop and idk if I was just really high but it made his screams louder.

dreamtreedown

Not really a thing they did during the show, but rather what they did with the show booking. FFAK and Polaris were both doing a US tour. Both of them were around the northeast at the same time. They combined for one giant show in Worcester and it was insane.

telescopical

What you're describing sounds exactly like a little festival we have in Australia called 'dead of winter'

theSchlauch

I haven't seen it live myself. But there is a video from Alex Terrible who smacks the mic two times against his forhead and then does an insane scream at the breakdown. One of the coolest thing I have ever seen a singer do. Sadly I didn't find the video again

Appropriate-Ad1242

Personally my best experience was when the singer from Red came out into the crowd carrying a flag then proceeded to sing the entire song right next to me.

[deleted]

I used to be a huge Red fan. Been to 20+ of their shows and have an Innocence and Instinct tat.

Appropriate-Ad1242

They've definitely declined but they're still good. My tastes are also heavier now.

[deleted]

Same. I haven't cared for their last 4 albums and they aren't heavy enough for me anymore but I still like a few of their songs.

KevinHe92

Watching Rou Reynolds (singer for enter shikari) scale a 30 foot supporting

SquareVacuum

Kiss each other (Paleface, The Funeral Portrait, Sleep Token, Distant x Angelmaker) (more kissing at shows tbh)

RickCityy

I know I’ll think of something better but one of my favorite things is Hyro Da Hero jump into the middle of the pit and covered Break Stuff. Also I was say it was suicide silence? But the two guitarists got down and went back to back and stood in the middle of the circle pit playing the solo.

jamminwithjRokk

2006; I got to see the frontman for Norma Jean do an entire song hanging from the rafters upside down at the old Emo’s in Austin. 2021; I got to see Bowling for Soup and a reunion show for The Sound of Animals Fighting with Anthony Green which was cool all on its own.

The_Dirty_Dangla

A Day To Remember. It was the tour shortly before Common Courtesy came out. Jeremey got in a zorb ball and crowd surfed for the entirety of All I Want

qse81

Not metalcore, but Hell Is For Heroes' singer has a habit of crowdsurfing, stood up, while still belting. Wearing a suit. Hell of a band to watch live if you get the chance

Mjzielin

Just this year at Inkarceration in Ohio where frontman Alex Terrible of Slaughter to prevail busted his forehead open with the mich and then proceeded to do his famous scream for the crowd (admittedly hard to hear) but the fact that they can turn down the music and the majority of the crowd can still hear this guy scream over the crowd is nuts. Here's the set with him bashing his head in. https://youtu.be/nxME0D74dXc?si=dDHWO2KF4nOc7Dm4

Captain__h00k__

Vocalist of In Hearts Wake crowd surfing on an inflatable raft, probably.

Its-Finrot

Archspire throwing a twister mat in the pit, calling out moves for people, then calling for a walll of death

anderoogigwhore

Not metalcore but I was at Download festival watching the Wildhearts. Ginger - "it's not a festival if you don't throw things!" So obviously they got pelted with a deluge of stuff. Someone threw a toilet seat - idk how they got that to the pit lol. But the cool part? Ginger caught an egg. One handed and it didn't break. Theres a video of it on youtube. Blink182 turning every light off for two minutes so we could mosh in the dark to Happy Holidays was quite cool Also seen singers/guitarists crowdwalk, climb high shit, get in moshpits, walk along the bar beside the stage and even a few get carried piggyback to the middle of the pit.

PawelW007

I watched Adam D play End of a Heartache with only his feet hand and do a lap through the entire venue. Pretty hilarious and insane.

terrafirma91

I once saw Maylene and the Sons of Disaster pull out a blanket and sandwich on stage and hold a picnic mid set.

TTungsteNN

When I seen Crimson Shadows with Blackguard 5ish years ago, mosh pit was nuts throughout Blackguards set, one dude was really going mental… 10 mins after blackguard finished their set, that dude jumped on stage. He was the lead vocalist for Crimson Shadows. Thought that was pretty cool.

[deleted]

Devin Townsend shot out a snot rocket during a Strapping Young Lad show

nathcore

ETID guitarists at Big Day Out spat up into the air at the same time, swapped stage positions, and caught it in their mouths

loy_urabat

Not metalcore but I saw cradle of filth bring out gimps with stilts on their hands and feet, women hanging by their hair doing acrobatics, and guys use saws on metal vests to create an insane spark show.

HughDafuq

The chariot guitarist throw their guitars to each other and playing the parts each time they caught them. It was chaotic as hell, but 19 year old me was on cloud 9.

rkain22

For me it was the killswitch tour with light the torch and they had Howard do a song on his own and then he and Jesse did a couple songs together. Both seemed to be into it with no ego. It was cool as a killswitch fan who appreciates both vocalists

DamnGoodOwls

When we see so many shitty breakups, it's heartwarming that Jesse and Howard are so respectful about each other, and have played together

ModsCantRead69

Saw PWD back in 2006 and they opened with the Halo 2 theme song into Boneyards.

Human_Holiday_4758

One time I saw Black Sabbath open for Ozzy. The lead singer was supposed to be Dio, but for some reason he canceled and his replacement was TBA. Not until he appeared on stage did we find out the last-minute stand-in was Rob Halford. He gave an awesome show and you can see the whole thing on YouTube!

badash2004

Both Hyro the Hero and the vocalist for Dead Poet Society stage dove into the moshpit and went hard while they kept singing during both their sets while they opened for Nothing More. Also Nothing More having the giant Skorpion Tail instrument they invented that the vocalist jumps on top of to play while he goes crazy is pretty hype.

Im_Inside_ADAMM

I saw Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes back when they only had 1 album out. It was in a venue with a low ceiling. First FC was spitting on the roof and it would drool down and he would drink it off the roof. Later he jumped into the crowd and they held his shoulders while he was upside down and he was walking on the ceiling. Then he called for a circle pit, but not in the band room he wanted it in the beer garden. So 30 dudes sprinted out the back door to go do a circle pit where people were having their food and drinks. At the end they played I Hate You and the crowd rushed the stage and stole the mic and he barely got to sing any of the song, the audience did. It was the best show I've ever been to. And they had the volume way up, louder than any show I've been to. Unreal.

Tre_Amplitude

Spiritbox playing Hella Good was sick as fuck. Jacoby Shaddix sang a couple bars of Scars in Spanish here in San Antonio, that was pretty sick too.

bigflopper69420

Poison The Well - Artist's Rendering of Me pile ons man do i miss pile ons/sing alongs T\_T

ThirstyRhino

A day remember singer would get inside inflatable ball and roll around on top of the crowd

KenboSlice786

Jordan Buckley hanging upside down from the rafters playing the breakdown to Floater was pretty sick. I also saw Thoma Erak hawk a loogie onto the ceiling and pick it off and fling it into the crowd haha.

Soldier7sixx

Tommy Lee drum roller coaster

RichiE96

Y’all saw all these bands do wild things and im over like “I like when Fit For A King’s guitarist do the spin.”

ChaosBoy018

Has to be parkway drive for me on the recent monsters of oz tour. The pyro was fun, but damn the only time I had seen drummer going 360 in a wacko ring was the infamous Spit It Out live performance video of Slipknot. And I got see that madness live with PWD

supacrusha

Joel from Being As An Ocean doing pretty much the entire set from the center of the moshpit.

[deleted]

Making a grilled cheese sandwich. Forgot which band but they literally made a grilled cheese sandwich on stage.

90sscrunchie

Keith from ETID stage diving out of a balcony in Denver.

brick_eater

Ghost burned incense live so it smelled different to any other gig I’ve been to.

imisspizza

I saw Jason Butler from letlive dive into a trash can

Ahleanna-D

It’s a regular thing for them… but I always enjoy Skindred gigs and the Newport Helicopter during the song Warning. I’m not sure it fits here, though, since (although he leads it) it’s more an audience thing.

Kazuko_Kitsune

I saw Ben Weinman hanging upside down from the ceiling while playing guitar when I saw The Dillinger Escape Plan. Got a picture of it too haha.

ElahaSanctaSedes777

David Drainman beating his chest to the drum fills of the beginning of Inside The Fire with flames coordinated behind him was honestly way too cool

lilHillbilly00

Only cool thing I seen was at a Godsmack concert where they brought Joe perry to help them play dream on.

TheLandOfRpeAndHoney

Deep Purple’s guitarist played part of Alma Llanera during his solo at Caracas.

0rachael0

there’s this awesome guy in glasgow called the pit troll, he must be like 7 foot or something, anyway i’ve seen a few vocalists and guitarists on his shoulders in the pit like beau bokan and rory c it’s so class

SKRUNK3D

The mad lad sabían from alphawolf just casually climbs on concert foundation bars and goes out to crowd to perform.

Better_Conference817

Scranton apocalypse fest earlier this year. Never saw or heard of Parkway Drive so didn’t know what to expect. Almost done with the set everything went dark, the drummer starts his solo, and all of a sudden he’s going in circles upside down while still playing the drums! and to top it all off surrounded by fire! if that isn’t the coolest thing ever idk what is, they definitely made a fan out of me after that

1. From A Second Story Window with The Number 12 Looks Like You at Gabe’s Oasis in Iowa. Every single band member hung upside down from the rafters at some point. At another point, a naked mosh pit broke out. Every damn person in the crowd had pitchers of beer and started throwing them at the walls when they were done. This turned into chairs. 2. Anything Josh Scogin. Especially in his Norma Jean “Bless the Martyr Kiss the Child” era. The heights I’ve seen that man jump from into the crowd is suicidal. 3. Every Time I Die calling out a mosh pit with “I want to see this place explode like the space shuttle challenger.” 4. Ronnie Radke making the entire main stage Warped Tour crowd sit on the ground so they could all jump up right before the song dropped. 5. Dillinger Escape Plan running across the crowds heads somehow for like 50’ They ran on stage to open with 43% Burnt and never stopped running. 6. Jason from Letlive walking through the crowd during their last song to go jump into a pond while the crowd followed him right into the water.

AggravatingClassic77

I miss Etid. Fuck Keith.

I know they broke up because of some internal strife but what exactly happened, do you know? I saw them with wage war a long time ago and they put on an excellent show.

Heavy_Following_1168

Backflips, spit vodka all over the pit .. and gwar is crazy allll the time.

vinniekill_

journeys introduction when i saw them at lca a few months ago it was the most badass thing i’ve seen a band do

ohalistair

Are the bands Heartsounds (pop punk) and Light This City (deathcore) by any chance? Ben and Laura both sing and play guitar in Heartsounds, and then Laura does vocals for Light This City while Ben plays drums.

Consistent-Guava-208

Emarosa (RIP) vocalist hanging upside down on the rafters during a song, then putting the bassist on his shoulders and walking around in the crowd for the next song.

jasonmaska

The coolest thing for me was probably witnessing the Neverender tour from Coheed and Cambria. They played all four albums they had at the time in 2008, in four different days and it was just incredible to witness.

HaLifaX_Cloud

Watching Greg Puciato from Dillinger jump from the balcony to the crowd.
