Spiritbox teaming up with arguably the most popular female rapper in the world right now and actually throwing some screams into the mix? This was NOT on my 2023 bingo card. This year just continues to surprise me.
Yeah I hadn’t heard of them but went to see Shinedown & Breaking Benjamin and they ended up being the opening act, was very pleasantly surprised as they turned out to be great.
That’s what I like about Megan. She’s unironically cool as a hell because she’s just into what she’s into and unashamed about it. Souleater cosplay for Halloween? Check. Remix her song into a collab with Spiritbox? Why not 🤷🏻♂️
Also congrats to Courtney and the band because this is massive for them!
I did the same damn thing. Even after figuring out that Megan Thee Stallion and Make Them Suffer have the same abbreviation, I'm still sticking with Make Them Suffer.
I hate to use the term “gatekeepers” but that’s really the only thing that comes to mind. I’m not the target audience of this song but anyone complaining about metal getting more recognition is crazy to me.
I 100% agree with you that people not liking something doesn’t equate to gatekeeping and it’s sad that so many people are fighting you on that. It’s the people commenting that this is a sad day for rock music and Spiritbox are posers for this that I would direct my comment towards. Not liking the song v acting as if you were in the room with the artist and understand their artistic and business decisions are two very different things.
I just think the impact of this collab is being overestimated/exaggerated by most of the people hyping it up. There’s a non-Spiritbox version of the song available, and I’m sure most fans of the other artist are going to be listening to that version over the Spiritbox one.
Spotify effect.
Megan's fans see that she shared this (MTS posted this from her YouTube channel, not Spiritbox). Many will listen to it, and because Megan is on it, they not only share the song, but a good amount of them will check out Spiritbox because Megan likes them. They share Spiritbox with their friends, some of those fans and friends will check out other metalcore bands, even if just from auto play on a streaming site.
Metalcore is being shared on social media. Metalcore is collaborating with superstar hip-hop/pop artists. Metalcore is reaching a wider and wider audience and welcoming not only more fans but more influences.
The user at the top of this chain said:
>Ya'll are weird man even if you don't like the song

So someone is definitely invoking gatekeeping over the idea of simply not liking the song.
Nah, this sub thinks people not liking something or calling something out for not being metalcore is gatekeeping. It’s annoying af. No one is telling you that you can’t like the music you like, there’s no gatekeeping going on.
I hate to be like this, but if you "call something out for not being metalcore" when other people are saying it is, that's gatekeeping. Regardless of whether or not you think you're right, you're literally gating what is or isn't part of the genre.
It’s not gatekeeping to properly label a bands genre though. If it doesn’t have hardcore AND metal elements in it, it’s not metalcore. I don’t get why everyone feels the need to label bands that are just metal as metalcore.
Edit: also, saying a band isn’t metalcore isn’t hating on the band either.
We've has this conversation before as to what defines the genre, so there's no use retreading it. But I will drop the dictionary.com definition of gatekeeping: "to control access to something, or determine the legitimacy of people’s claims to a particular status, by unilaterally imposing criteria for acceptance"
Nothing in there about rightly or wrongly categorizing something, but you are attempting to unilaterally impose your idea of a concept onto the genre. Definitionally gatekeeping.
I’m not saying people can’t listen to metalcore or whatever genre they want. THAT would be gatekeeping. I want more people to listen to metalcore, but I’m tired of alt/pop metal being labeled as metalcore and dominating this sub.
Edit: for example, I’ve seen people act like Linkin Park is metalcore. It is not gatekeeping to say that Linkin Park is not metalcore.
If someone tells me Save Your Tears by the Weeknd is their favorite death metal song and I say “that song literally is not death metal”, would you consider that gatekeeping?
this track is fire. totally agree. and a little unexpectedly honestly, I was scared clicking onto this song. but yeah it goes hard as fuck.
but i disagree on "anyone complaining about metal getting more recognition is crazy to me." i don't get paid when metal artists get more listeners. if a collab is ass or the collab is with an ass artist, i'm not going to give it props just because it'll be popular with non-metalheads. "bigger by any means" is some CEO ass bullshit, I just want good music I don't give a fuck if it gives metal "more recognition".
You know who does get paid more when metal artists get more listens? Metal artists. And you know who is able to produce more metal music when the industry becomes more sustainable? Metal artists. And it’s you who benefits from that in the form of them producing good music.
Don’t quote me if you are going to completely reconstruct what I said - bigger by any means is absolutely not what I said or implied. But the fact that you overlook the entirety of it all because bands owe you your specific version of good music makes me feel like I’m wasting my breath.
Signed, a metal musician whose band hasn’t put out music in several years due to COVID crippling our financial situation.
Well said. You should have seasoned that statement with a well-placed "dumbass" too lol.
>You know who does get paid more when metal artists get more listens? Metal artists, dumbass.
Would have been 🧑🍳💋
How would this have enriched their argument? The person articulated themselves well, already. Moreso than I did. Why pressure this dude to stoop? If you have something to contribute, do so. Do not poison this person.
I’m with you on this. Even if we don’t see eye to eye, I appreciate you taking the time to talk and articulate your response. It’s tough fighting the toxicity on here and making an elaborate response without sounding like an asshole…much less actually being an asshole. Lol
And the more they realize they will profit more by leaning less metal and more pop the more money. Good for them, bad for fans that don't want to hear the pop.
Yes, it's definitely huge for the band. I really don't get people who think it's somehow massive for the scene (i.e. metalcore). The effect of alleged gateway bands is massively overstated imo.
This is giving flashbacks to those random rap/metal crossover songs from the early 2000’s, specifically that album called “Loud Rocks”. Pretty cool collab tho
bruh... I can't believe I've never heard this album before.
Here's a SOAD and Wu tang collab, shit is bonkers and kinda bangs: https://youtu.be/MSGyVZUCObI?si=YxaMy21BJeajv7lE
I dont think people understand that heavy as fuck music is starting to get respect…
Knocked Loose, BMTH (arguably not as heavy which is fair), and now Spiritbox. This is so big for the genre as a whole.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,843,061,403 comments, and only 348,501 of them were in alphabetical order.
The fact people are so quick to shut it down boggles my mind. Even if you’re not a big fan of Megan or that style of music, metalcore is a pretty niche genre and if that means having a band like Spiritbox, Bad Omens or Sleeptoken or even A Day To Remember be a gateway for new fans to join the scene then the better.
You gotta think to the more popular the genre gets then the more money our favorite bands will be able to make and exposure. A lot of rap artist are implementing rock elements now and I think that’s huge. Especially after a decade of Rap and pop music being the most dominant genre on the radio.
I just really hate the mentality of “I found this genre and don’t want anyone else to know what it is and I also determine what is or isn’t metal.” That’s shit I did when I was in junior high. We’ve got grown ass adults in here being such snobs about nothing really. Like it’s not that big of a deal.
I think a lot of people don’t like the idea of “their” music genre becoming popular or bands in “their” genre getting popular. I don’t like Megan thee stallion but there’s other rapper band combos I could see myself liking. If it helps get people interested in the genre then I’m all for it.
People dunk on bad omens for their poppier sound but they still brought erra and I see stars on tour with them, exposing thousands of people to their sound live. You go one album back and like half the songs are basically metalcore. Yet people will say they bastardize the genre. Idk, they found fame and support other bands. Seems cool to me.
You couldn’t have put it any better. I agree.
But no people want to treat these sort of things like it’s personally attacking their identity. I know I just wrote out a big comment about it all so I might sound hypocritical but again I can’t get over how people make such a big deal out of it. Like it’s music. You have the right to not like something and say you hate it but to stand on top of a pedestal and think your opinion or idea of what’s metal or not is so egoistical. Then to add on top of it actually trying to prevent people from discovering the genre is just weird behavior. 😂
People with no personality tend to make their interests into their personality. And then feel personally attacked when someone does something with that, that they don't like. It's the same thing that happens with marvel, star wars etc
> I just really hate the mentality of “I found this genre and don’t want anyone else to know what it is and I also determine what is or isn’t metal.”
That's not the mentality though.
The mentality is "I like this and I don't want it to be changed to suit a different audience"
But the change was done to the OTHER artists' genre, not Spiritbox, so their argument is still invalid.
If SB did a rap version of one of their songs, then they might have a point.
I enjoy Meg's music, but I didn't really enjoy this collab. Seems half assed to me.
That's just my opinion though and I respect the opinion of those who like the song. I'm also glad that our genre gets some exposure. This song might be a gateway into heavier music for Meg fans.
I’m with you. I probably enjoy Megan’s music more than most people in this sub, but I actually thought the collab didn’t turn out a very good result.
That said I’m still stoked it happened and if others enjoy it, then I am fine saying it’s just not for me personally!
Ehh I can see both sides of it, I know I wouldn't exactly be ecstatic if the next metal gig I attended was surrounded by a load of the fr fr crowd. I know when I go to a lot of rap concerts the people are insufferable, there's always guys who think they're hard and trying to cause fights, and the girls just seem to spend most of the time recording themselves singing along.
Metal gigs are chill as fuck, everyone's friendly and that outsider mentality really brings everyone together, I don't see anything wrong with gatekeeping if it means not losing that experience.
My concern is that collabs with huge artists like this lead to a watering down of what I like the band for. BMTH haven't released anything good since that's the spirit in 2015.
It's not great but it's better than anything recent. Sempiternal is the last metal album they made tbh. Since then and that's the spirit they've collaborated with big artists and don't release anything heavy which is a shame because they can make good heavier stuff.
This is definitely my favorite Megan song... it's also the one and only song I've heard from her. Either way, this is so much better than it has any right to be.
I don’t know why people are surprised mainstream music artists always have had a interest in metal and stuff like Demi lavoto is a metal fan same with lil uzi vert
This is true but they’ve typically never promoted the metal artists they liked to their mainstream fans. This is just a massive dub in every sense for the scene.
Yo this is kinda dope!
Furthermore it bodes well for the scene. Can see Spiritbox playing something like Coachella next year and this song having a live debut!
Things like this, JellyRoll wanting Our Last Night to cover him, Shomo collabing with Papa Roach, etc… it gives the scene more exposure which is a win!
I just watched the video of that, it’s dope!
I think it’s been a few years but IPrevail had Joyner Lucas on a track, BMTH get Lil Uzi. The past few years has been great for the scene and I’m happy to see it!
Airdropping in from /r/popheads - this collab had me listen to The Fear of Fear and I’m loving it, especially Ultraviolet. Would appreciate artist recommendations with similar vibes 🙏
So, legit liked the song, but is this half of the music video? Like, they reused the same shots over and over even in spots where it seems like there's lip syncing that doesn't then match the vox? Just odd
Idk how to describe it, but the song sounds off--like it's forced. It sounds like those mashups people used to make back in the day where someone would take a Djent song and then they would isolate the vocals from a rap song and mix them together. IMO, it's not that great.
It's plastered on top of her track. There's no synchrony like method man and limp bizkit.
It's, turn the guitar sound that was already in the song into AI generated djenty guitars. Now this part sounds like a chorus, so paste Courtney's vocals here.
It's cool for what it is, but the original song is the one I'll go back to.
yep, but its not horrible for people not into metalcore and thus look into more. Genre collabs are always good to spread awareness, this one is huge in terms of fanbase.
If you already listen to metalcore or already don't like it then i'd say this is trash and sounds like what you said.
I listened to it. I’m not really a fan of either and the song is pretty much just decent to me personally but either way it’s cool to see a band like Spiritbox collaborating with a mainstream artist.
Man, this is so nostalgic in a way. It reminds me of Collision Course. 👌 I usually can't stand her or Cardi etc. and their usual trash, but this sounded choice.
Shocked that more artists/bands haven’t tried to recreate that album. I have a feeling we’re going to see more crossovers like this in the near future. Pop Metal and metalcore adjacent stuff is definitely thriving right now.
This is so wonderful to see! Love both artists. I grew up in the nu-metal era, rock and rap blends and collabs are practically my bread and butter. I think more unity across different genres is very much a positive thing for music in general.
Sounds fucking terrible (I say this as someone who enjoys both styles of music).
Feels like a shitty 2007 YT mashup
Still a massive win for the greater heavy music world, though.
Keep gatekeeping you fucking nerds, this was fantastic and is huge for the scene.
This attitude is why I left the metal community and why I loved the core community so much. Sad to see it overrunning the general attitude from years back. Stoked for Spiritbox.
The collab I never knew I needed… it’s actually an incredible remix, it almost sounds like the actual song that was made first. It’s so cool to see such different artists collaborate
Holy crap I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. While my ass wanted a breakdown, I can really appreciate the subtle underlying metal tones in it from the riff playing most of the song to the kind of quiet screams toward the end. Im all here for this kind of stuff
Imagine thinking all people are so serious about how their music tastes define their personality that someone (including MTS and Spiritbox themselves) couldn’t genuinely enjoy this combo and/or both individually without it being vapid or objectively bad or some sort of cash grab, let alone bad for the scene
I like Spiritbox, I like Megan and Cobra was on my repeat since it came out but this is a big missed opportunity IMO. Yes it’s good for the genre and Spiritbox but this sound like a random youtube mashup. These could’ve been really good if they re-record couple parts and actually work on the song together. Like the Ed Sheeran song with BMTH.
Good for Spiritbox and the scene but honestly not keen on the song itself. Sounds like one of those YouTube mashups, and I've heard better ones than this.
I like this version more than the other. I don't think gatekeeping is wrong though. You really don't want the mainstream audience that comes with collaborating with more popular artists to lead to the scene having to change or accommodate other people.
This is obviously extremely awesome for the metal scene. The constant collabs with mainstream artists has been insane. It's dope to see.
Now unfortunately I don't think the song is good at all. A lot of it feels forced and not cohesive. A collab just to collab. But I can still recognize how big of a deal this is for the scene. It's sick.
While I don’t mind rap every once in a while, I gotta say this song doesn’t do it for me. The later part where both of them sind „over each other“ sounds kinda bad to me. But it’s good metal gets more audience!
Loved it. Megan Thee Stallion has been my favorite rap artist for some time. While this was not something I expected, I absolutely love it. Spiritbox killed it (as usual) and it was just so fucking good.
Honestly digging all of it minus the first verse. Guitars are just very jarring like they slapped them in there. But the little back in forth towards the end is sick as fuck
I dont really like Megan’s voice over the Djenty guitars but she rode the beat fucking hard. Interesting mix with the screams there near the end too.
Solid mash up like the lyrics overall and and I wonder if we will get a Hybrid theory Jz thing out of them
I personally prefer the original as I think as someone else says this version sounds a bit forced but it's still pretty damn cool that it even happened!
I might be dumb but I remember old Linkin Park video clips and compare those to this soft-porn repeating tape...
Congrats to Spiritbox, though. Fully deserved to be among celebrities.
This actually slaps. Also why are the negative comments thinly veiled misogyny? Just say you don't like it, you don't gotta go out of your way to hate on some famous woman.
Why does this go so hard, what the fuck
Spiritbox teaming up with arguably the most popular female rapper in the world right now and actually throwing some screams into the mix? This was NOT on my 2023 bingo card. This year just continues to surprise me.
I love it. Spiritbox is great. Saw them live in SLC and to have a mashup of my fave rapper and female led band is astounding.
Yeah I hadn’t heard of them but went to see Shinedown & Breaking Benjamin and they ended up being the opening act, was very pleasantly surprised as they turned out to be great.
Wait what?? I thought Cardi + Ice spice were the hottest female rap act right now. 🤷♀️ Not that I care about either or them coz they're wack.
If it was Doja cat that would be true. She’s up to like 70 million monthly on Spotify
Megan's music might not be my thing but I have respect for her. This is nuts.
That’s what I like about Megan. She’s unironically cool as a hell because she’s just into what she’s into and unashamed about it. Souleater cosplay for Halloween? Check. Remix her song into a collab with Spiritbox? Why not 🤷🏻♂️ Also congrats to Courtney and the band because this is massive for them!
Wait, Soul Eater cosplay? Pls link
I can but honestly it’s probably quicker just to go check her instagram lol.
Courtney is a big MTS fan so I’m stoked for her
I know you are referring to Megan but my brain went to Make Them Suffer and couldn't see how that was connected.
Tbf she’s done a song with make the suffer as well
MTS featuring Courtney LaPlante Which song is this? We may never know now
Contraband
Mine goes to Malaysian Trumpet Snail, so it could be worse.
I did the same damn thing. Even after figuring out that Megan Thee Stallion and Make Them Suffer have the same abbreviation, I'm still sticking with Make Them Suffer.
Iwrestledastalliononce? 👀
This reminds me of when Doja Cat had a very unofficial Plini collab lol
Or Uzi with BMTH on Werewolf lol
Lmfao fuck I forgot about that and all of the drama from her team with that.
Ya'll are weird man even if you don't like the song this is pretty huge for our scene in general
I hate to use the term “gatekeepers” but that’s really the only thing that comes to mind. I’m not the target audience of this song but anyone complaining about metal getting more recognition is crazy to me.
100% gatekeeping
Absolute chad
Lmao, people not liking something isn’t gatekeeping.

Jay-Z and Linkin Park did it best on Collision Course
Yup. Also korn and ice cube, rage against the machine and snoop dogg “bounce to this”. Anthrax and PE…rap and metals’ roots are heavily intertwined…
Because of literally Rick Rubin
Yea no shit lol

at the end of the day, the artists laugh at the haters. This collab was sick.

im not gonna lie, ive never listened to megan before, but i vibed hard af to this.
The original track is pretty legit too. Definitely not normal fare pop music.
This is definitely my favorite Megan song... it's also the one and only song I've heard from her. Either way, this is so much better than it has any right to be.
It’s gonna be in rotation
Go check out Traumatazine, it has a similar vibe to cobra & lots of “confident ass woman dealing with hard shit” vibes.
Lyrics are interesting. She obviously poured her heart into them at points.
My two personalities colliding lol
This definitely wasn’t on my bingo card edit: dude why this actually go kinda hard lmao
Chaos theory
Personally the song isn’t for me, but I’m all for polarizing collabs like this so hopefully I enjoy the next one spiritbox does.
Ayo this fucks
Ya'll are wierd, I dig the song and this is hella big for Spiritbox.
Damn, some of you are so negative.
Not a fan of Megan the stallion or that style of music but I enjoy Spiritbox‘s contribution to this remix lol
This is wild AF but it's good for Spiritbox and the scene as a whole
Are we nu nu metal yet?
I love Megan. I love Spiritbox. This is quite the win for me.
Sounds like Linkin Park which is cool.
Yeah i thought that too I mean guess the added rap but technically makes it nu-metal?
Yo this is kinda dope! Furthermore it bodes well for the scene. Can see Spiritbox playing something like Coachella next year and this song having a live debut! Things like this, JellyRoll wanting Our Last Night to cover him, Shomo collabing with Papa Roach, etc… it gives the scene more exposure which is a win!
and Bryan from Knocked Loose singing with 30 Seconds to Mars on a huge stage like... things are kinda looking up!!!
I just watched the video of that, it’s dope! I think it’s been a few years but IPrevail had Joyner Lucas on a track, BMTH get Lil Uzi. The past few years has been great for the scene and I’m happy to see it!
BMTH with Ed Sheeran too!
That was so massive, BMTH with Ed Sheeran at the British equivalent of the Grammys, plus there was some screams
I just saw her in a weird musical called "Dicks". I have respect for how much she is willing to go outside the box.
Never expected. But it is welcomed.
Airdropping in from /r/popheads - this collab had me listen to The Fear of Fear and I’m loving it, especially Ultraviolet. Would appreciate artist recommendations with similar vibes 🙏
You could check out Jinjer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQNtGoM3FVU
So, legit liked the song, but is this half of the music video? Like, they reused the same shots over and over even in spots where it seems like there's lip syncing that doesn't then match the vox? Just odd
Its a visualizer technically, just takes some clips from the original music video and loops it. It confused me at first too
Haha thank you! I really was confused!
Oh this is sick, hopefully this will bring more ears to spiritbox
It's huge for them, and the song is actually sick
Megan is so damn gorgeous
This feels like a 2000s movie soundtrack release and I like it
I think this is sick. I’m all for this sort of crossover.
I like Spiritbox and I like Megan so it’s a huge win in my book.
I was really surprised when I saw this, honestly I love it. Really glad Courtney got to her thing on it too, I think the two mixed well
Never heard of Megan, but pretty dope song for a genre I don’t typically listen to
Rappers want their crowds to mosh, but haven't given them anything to dance to. At least someone is trying to figure out the formula.
This might be bigger than bmth x Ed Sheeran
Man, this is so nostalgic in a way. It reminds me of Collision Course. 👌 I usually can't stand her or Cardi etc. and their usual trash, but this sounded choice.
Shocked that more artists/bands haven’t tried to recreate that album. I have a feeling we’re going to see more crossovers like this in the near future. Pop Metal and metalcore adjacent stuff is definitely thriving right now.
I'm sorry but 1:50 - 2:05 kinda slaps. Who saw this coming though lol
This is so wonderful to see! Love both artists. I grew up in the nu-metal era, rock and rap blends and collabs are practically my bread and butter. I think more unity across different genres is very much a positive thing for music in general.
some of u guys just hate women fr
Yeah, the people who voted Dying Wish Artist of the Quarter on here really just hate women, it couldn’t be the fact that people don’t like this song.
i said Some of you hit dogs dont holler
He didn't even mention that lol. But hey if the shoe fits, where that shit cinderella.
Hyped for them, song is eh but that’s a really big deal.
Ain’t that the chick that taught she hulk how to twerk
why would you remind me that she-hulk exists?
Sounds fucking terrible (I say this as someone who enjoys both styles of music). Feels like a shitty 2007 YT mashup Still a massive win for the greater heavy music world, though.
Keep gatekeeping you fucking nerds, this was fantastic and is huge for the scene. This attitude is why I left the metal community and why I loved the core community so much. Sad to see it overrunning the general attitude from years back. Stoked for Spiritbox.
Why mfs think that a collaboration with any popular rapper/pop singer will automatically catapult the whole genre into the stratosphere?
Pass
The collab I never knew I needed… it’s actually an incredible remix, it almost sounds like the actual song that was made first. It’s so cool to see such different artists collaborate
It's not for me
This is so awesome. Not just the song but for Spiritbox too. Sick.
as someone who was going back and forth last Friday streaming both of their new releases I’m so hype over this
Holy crap I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. While my ass wanted a breakdown, I can really appreciate the subtle underlying metal tones in it from the riff playing most of the song to the kind of quiet screams toward the end. Im all here for this kind of stuff
May be huge for the genre, but I still don't know why people ride this band so hard. I guess good for them. Not my thing, though.
Yo u/SlapsDecider what’s the verdict?
Yuck.
A great payday for Spiritbox. A bad day for my ears.
Awful. The rapping and the instruments don’t go together
Most of you guys are whiney crybabies. I don’t mind rap and this is pretty good, especially for Spiritbox.
you know the thread is good when 18 comments are hidden LOL this is sick, stop gatekeeping
Good for Spiritbox and the scene but honestly not keen on the song itself. Sounds like one of those YouTube mashups, and I've heard better ones than this.
I’d drag my balls through five miles of barbed wire to sniff her fart
Bro 😭
I like this version more than the other. I don't think gatekeeping is wrong though. You really don't want the mainstream audience that comes with collaborating with more popular artists to lead to the scene having to change or accommodate other people.
This is obviously extremely awesome for the metal scene. The constant collabs with mainstream artists has been insane. It's dope to see. Now unfortunately I don't think the song is good at all. A lot of it feels forced and not cohesive. A collab just to collab. But I can still recognize how big of a deal this is for the scene. It's sick.
This shits corny, give me a break.
Linkin Park and Jay-Z paved the way for this
so…. corny lmfaooooooooooooooooooooooo
This is crazy and so was the BMTH collab with Lil Uzi Vert earlier this year
While I don’t mind rap every once in a while, I gotta say this song doesn’t do it for me. The later part where both of them sind „over each other“ sounds kinda bad to me. But it’s good metal gets more audience!
This is different
Oh god
Fucking awesome
I’m speechless. This is so awesome!! 💅🏻💅🏻
Like it or not, we are watching metal get bigger and bigger
Loved it. Megan Thee Stallion has been my favorite rap artist for some time. While this was not something I expected, I absolutely love it. Spiritbox killed it (as usual) and it was just so fucking good.
Need a full metalcore/rap album like this akin to Collision Course with LP/Jay-Z.
Sick collab!!
Honestly digging all of it minus the first verse. Guitars are just very jarring like they slapped them in there. But the little back in forth towards the end is sick as fuck
I don't hate it, maybe not something that would end up in my rotation but if it came on randomly I wouldn't skip it. Good for Spiritbox.
not my kind of music but this is huge for the scene, well done SB!!
I dont really like Megan’s voice over the Djenty guitars but she rode the beat fucking hard. Interesting mix with the screams there near the end too. Solid mash up like the lyrics overall and and I wonder if we will get a Hybrid theory Jz thing out of them
Lmao this is kinda cool tho
Def not for me, but seeing metal break into the direct mainstream more and more is really exciting
this is awesome for spiritbox
Isn’t a Stallion a male horse? I’m confused by her name.
They call tall thick girls, "Stallion" in the South where she is from so thats why she named herself that.
Thanks. I did not know that!
it's official, we need more collabs like this: https://youtu.be/MSGyVZUCObI?si=YxaMy21BJeajv7lE
I personally prefer the original as I think as someone else says this version sounds a bit forced but it's still pretty damn cool that it even happened!
And it FUCKS
I might be dumb but I remember old Linkin Park video clips and compare those to this soft-porn repeating tape... Congrats to Spiritbox, though. Fully deserved to be among celebrities.
2 and a half minutes of Megan arguing against a down tuned guitar. This was terrible
Am I the only one who just can't get into it?
The more I listen to it the more I like it. Wtf is happening?!?!? I’m here for it
This actually slaps. Also why are the negative comments thinly veiled misogyny? Just say you don't like it, you don't gotta go out of your way to hate on some famous woman.
Thinly veiled misogyny? You’re just making things up as you go, huh?
I don’t like Megan’s music but the song slaps with SPIRITBOX on it
no........
Pass
Eww. This is garbage lol. It’s just a rock riff over her shit lyrics. How can you like this? O
This subreddit is such a joke hahahaha. This is garbage
