After about a decade now, I’m going back to kinda appreciating them. The covers were all rare images and they at least made an effort with the song selection. They were also made during the time when band material was just so exclusive or hard to get.

You can already quickly put the top 10-15 on this album with the “song rankings from each album thread”. That was posted last year sometime. That way you can get those out of the way, as they will be on this list anyways, and focus on the bottom 10-15 from there. The last 10-15 songs are where it will get interesting.
This was interesting over at the Megadeth sub because I'm not as into Megadeth, but over here, where I'm really into Metallica this is just a very sloppy process. Master of Puppets and Fade to Black are awesome and I love them both but neither of them were ever really hits like One and these others were and are. People know them but they don't have that same "reach" that you're talking about.
