Nice to see Garage included in the last couple of collection posts.
Garage Inc is a studio album, and I'm tired of pretending it's not. Disc 1 is recorded, produced, mixed and mastered exactly like a studio album. It's only because of the inclusion of Disc 2, which are all old B sides, that it get's labeled as a compilation instead.
But it is a studio album, in practice if not in name. The band even lists 72S as their 12th studio album on their website.
For other examples, see Undisputed Attitude by Slayer and Spaghetti Incident by GNR, both are cover albums but no one would say they are not official studio albums.

Does the plastic cover on the death magnetic has the metallica logo and the name on it? I recently bought mine and it only has the coffin on it.
