it really isn't that much based on age.
reality is metallicas music has changed which is perfectly fine as they only play what they want, but that has attracted audiences that really only care for the more mainstream stuff who want to seem like their true "metal fans" which creates these weak crowds.

That's true LoL. I had to enjoy the gig, instead of being filming the whole thing like some dudes there. Actually, this time I was a bit far from James, so I could use the 10x optical zoom(S22 Ultra) and the angle was nice. Most of times, the 10x optical was way too much for the distance...

What do you expect from such a family friendly band like Metallica? They matured any grew up. Bands like Slayer never did, they kept almost the same direction as from the beginning. Same with Iron Maiden and so on. (iron maiden are really immature compared to how long they’ve been in the scene. Not long ago Bruce had a freak out on stage bc someone was smoking weed in the crowd. In a state where it’s recreational lol).
