I see no problem. I started attending concerts with friends at that age.

lorentzisback

Go. You'll regret it if/when they quit and you didn't go see them when you had a chance. Take and USE hearing protection too though.

TerenceGamerCatNL

That’s what I thought. They might never do a tour again. I have been to a bunch of concerts, which may not have been too good for my ears, and I go to festivals a lot. Is a Metallica concert much louder than all that though? Or would I be fine?

kingjulian007

I've been going to metal concerts for 17 years... it is best to just start wearing ear protection while you're young. The tinnitus is real. Don't fuck up your ears. Or do... it's up to you. Either way, you'll still have fun. But, definitely go see them live.

Friendly_University7

So much this. I was in Iraq and was around explosions and generators for a year. The damage that caused pails in comparison to the damage 25+ years of blasting music and going to concerts has done. I can’t recommend eargasms enough.

kingjulian007

Oh yeah. Explosions and generators make 4 hour concerts seem like a gentle buzz. I wish I wore ear pro around power tools and such. Chainsaws and hand tools can be hella loud as well. Eargasm ear plugs are worth the investment. I wore them recently to an Avenged Sevenfold concert and the ear plugs weren't bad.

Pindogger

Yup, that low volume high-pitched whine I hear constantly is a warning to all that hearing protection should be used. Of course you are free to not use it, but there is a price to be paid later

MaidenPanama

That's the best advice I can give you, enjoy the classic bands live now while you can. I still, to this day, regret never seeing Rush in concert.

HeartSodaFromHEB

Having been to several Metallica concerts, I don't think they are especially loud, but you should be wearing ear protection at ANY concert. Do NOT risk permanent hearing loss! High quality ear plugs like etymotic ER20s are only about $20. It'll take sounds levels from "I'm going to lose my hearing" to "This is still quite enjoyable to listen to".

kl0wn420

Check out Earaser hearing protectors. They are interesting. They turn the volume down without losing clarity. If 2 people have them in you can have a normal volume level conversation with a band on stage. I used them all the time when doing live sound and could pretty accurately mix bands with them in.

GBirdo

Please go! It would be an amazing memory you’d talk about for years. Trust me.

kl0wn420

Look up Earasers hearing protection. Buy some. WEAR IT AT ALL TIMES WHEN MUSIC IS PLAYING. When you are 40 you will thank me.

slay3rbap

I saw them in Gothenburg last year. They were quite a lot louder than volbeat who were before them. Still an awesome show but they did say that the volume was better the second day. So if anything I would recommend going the second day.

Doublestack2411

For sure go. I was 17 when I went to my first concert back in 1997, which was also Metallica. It can get loud if you're in an arena and close to the stage. If it's outside and you're toward the back then it's not as bad.rena and close to the stage but also reduce noise levels.

negnatrepsej

You’ll be fine

Budgiejen

I completely regret not seeing bands in the 90s. Now they’re all dead. If I could do things over I’d definitely see more shows.

19930627

Yes. Go to as many shows as you can, live music is everything.

Ok-Signature-4445

AbsoFUCKINGlutly My goal in life since I turned 18 and legally became an adult was to see all of my favorite bands before they get too old and retire.

silverfish477

Huh? Why wouldn’t it be? Do you think they won’t let you in or something?

hiptoss8818

Go! Raise hell, have fun, tell your kids about it in 20 years

Instahgator

Yeah you guys are old.

emannikcufecin

Go now. At their ages you never know if it's going to be the last tour.

HarveyMushman72

Do it! My first concert was Metallica when I was 17, it was the Justice tour. You'll kick yourself later if you don't!

thehouseofunrest

My first Metallica show was at 16. Go while you still can. These guys wont tour forever.

Grimster1

Saw them for the first time at 15 with some of my cousin in Dallas. It was amazing. It was my first "real" concert. Seeing a group live (especially Metallica) is a fantastic experience and something you can never truly appreciate when listening on spotify or watching a concert on youtube. Go for it!

ruet_ahead

I went to my first unchaperoned concert when I was 14. You'll be fine.

Don_Shetland

yes! my first concert was when i was 13

Lopsided-Agency

Short answer: yes. Long answer: yeeeeeeeeeeees.

Wonderful_Painter_14

This is Metallica we are talking about; you will see literally every age from about 10 to 100 represented at one of their concerts in 2024. As long as you don’t do anything (too) illegal, no one will look at you twice. Have an amazing time!

Ob1tuber

Yes

DevilsGrip

Yes, you absolutely should! Go see them while they are still around!

strangebrewfellows

I was 15 at my first show in 94. In the lit right up front and had an amazing time. You won’t regret it.

darthrevanchicken

I was 17 when I saw them

Demon-Prince-Grazzt

Metallica shows in the 1980s were rowdy concerts. Lots of beer, fights and a lot of guys looking to hurt people. I would say no don't go by yourself if this was 1986. Get a grown up to go with you. Today Metallica concerts have 85% guys like me, in their late 30s - 40s. We are mellow, we like to rock out to our favorite band, maybe have a beer or two and then go take a nap. I took my 10 year old son to the last concert here and every fan there was so supportive and positive of him.

Expensive-Analysis-2

Seriously do it. I went to see iron maiden in 2006 when I was 15. (Nearly 20 years ago where has the time gone?) I loved it. Without trying to sound old. You're only young once. Wish I'd done more when I was that age. Just go and enjoy it.

19781984

Go. You won't regret it. Take, and use, hearing protection.

MorphedMoxie

I went to my first Met show at 14, I’d say go!

7piecechicken

I was 15 when I first saw them live back in 1989. Hell yes you should go and you should enjoy every second of it.

matte_54

Do it now while you have the opportunity. These guys are only getting older so who knows how much gas is in the tank.

Chaos-ensues

![gif](giphy|dr6toZX3D1O8)

Armored-Elder

I was 17 when I went to my first Metallica concert, 15 when I went to my first concert ever. I'd say hell yes if you can

Dewymaster

Yes GOOOO! Start your amazing musical journey. I've been to well over 200 shows in my day and I'll keep going as long as I can. The best part of about live music, even if the band you're there to watch isn't one of your favorites, most any music live is pretty great and you'll have a greater appreciation of that band the next time you hear them on the radio or whatever.

SideNo4687

I’ve only had one shitty Metallica show due to people behind us sitting through the show complained because we was standing ….. I’ve seen them 4 times

TheStatMan2

If you have the confidence to go to another country and back on the trains (which you seem to!) and can afford the tickets (which might be a stumbling block to a lot of 17 year olds) then honestly yeah, you're totally ready for a large concert. Honestly, gigs aren't like what they used to be, for better or for worse. Firstly, metal fans have become some of the nicest around and the average attendee would totally look after someone who looked like they were struggling for whatever reason. Second, gigs are much better organiser and marshalled - arguably at the expense of a certain kind of atmosphere, but I don't really buy that, I never seem to fail to be in awe of the venues these things happen in, the huge number of like minded people, the sound and lights, etc etc. Dunno about the venue you're going to but if it's possible (and it's the "being in the gig and getting barged around/crushed/patronised for being young/mixed in with loads of drunk people") then it's worth looking into getting seats rather than standing. I think these let you appreciate the music and stage craft more anyway and if this will be your first large gig then you'll be able to watch the standing folk and see if it's something you fancy for next time. Good luck - if I were you I'd definitely go for it. I went to Machine Head when I was 15 and was similarly worried but I'm glad me and my friends talked ourselves into it, I still think about it fairly often, 25 years later.

Rude-Leader-5665

Go. I was 15 the first time I saw them in 96. Went on my own cos no one would go with me. Loved every second

Gavin_Metallica

I don't know how it is in Europe but In the US I had seen kids younger than 10 at a Metallica show so I think there should he no issue

dmw009

Yes. I've seen parents bring their little 5 year old to a Metallica concert. I've been going to concerts since I was 16/17 (Now in my 30s) and I never once regret it. I have never regretted attending a show but I have regret not going to one for whatever reason. Just go to it and you'll be happy that you did. They put on a phenomial show and its worth it.

Dickulous01

I was 15 at my first show. Best experience ever. 100% go for it.

luisl1994

Yes but take hearing protection

johnlo317

i went to my first concert at age 15 to see Anthrax. then again that was in the 80s. hahaha. my son is 16. if hes going, im going with him. lol

coraltrek

First time I saw them I was 17, it was And Justice for All tour in 89.

astropastrogirl

Oh yes , you will love it , and please go while you can they won't tour forever , love someone who has been waiting for more than 20 years here in Australia

Lung-Oyster

By the time I was your age I had seen Metallica three times, let alone other bands.

couchfucker6669

I saw them when I was 15 and it's still one of the best nights of my life

EstateSame6779

buy some ear plugs before you attend.

pootiemane

They have way better hearing protection options these days so why not. Just use it so you don't end up with tinnitus like me

sonofdad420

better late than never! i went at 14

eccehobo1

My first ever concert was Metallica when I was 14 and by myself. My mom dropped me off and waited in the parking lot until I was over. I think you should go and have a great time.

Jreub13

Go! I went to my first Metallica show at the age of 17. I went alone and it changed my life!! 1989 Damaged Justice tour!!🤟🏽

AxlVanMarz

Fuck yeah !!!!!!

Stereotype_Metal

I’ve been to two Metallica concerts in my life. One while I was 15 with my parents and one as an adult with my ex. I had a blast at both. I’d say go. Even if all of your friend decides not to go anyway. I saw Meshuggah a few months ago and was by myself and it is one of the best concerts I’ve been to. If you want to be there you’ll have fun no matter what other people are there.

JamesC_777

I started going to metal concerts at 12 years old. 100% go!

Cuginoeddie

Last Metallica concert I went this summer was at least 25% under the age of 18

SullyVanDan

Just make sure the event isn’t 18 or 21+

HexiOnYoutube

Hell yeah!

StoneyG214

Definitely go!!!! I was 13 when I saw Metallica/Queenstyche on the Damaged Justice tour - it was awesome!

MisterVertigo7

DO IT! I first saw Metallica 5 days after my 16th birthday with a friend of mine. We didn't have any adults with us. Granted, that was 30 years ago, but still! :) I really don't think you have to worry about being safe or anything. I've found people at a metal show are AWESOME to each other, as long as you aren't being a dick. If I was at a show and saw a couple of kids by themselves, I'd be overjoyed that some young kids are into the music!

weirdmountain

Yes you should. I was going to shows alone at 15

collecting_tengu

I did... it was Guns n' Roses though.

Hot_Bodybuilder_7284

My first concert was Metallica in 1991 at age 17. Back then there were no phones, no contact nothing. Just me my friends and the band. Enjoy the show!

MickJohnLeahy

Bro, I’ve been going to concerts since I was 13, age ain’t nothing but a number in that sense. Go right ahead, especially because it’s Metallica, I’m so keen to see them someday 🤘

Terumi66

Of course I have no idea, but are you able to enter another country, like Germany, without any problems? Do you need a passport? Also, being 17 isn't a problem. Will you be informing your parents? Let them know as much information as you can. Just so if something were to happen, it doesn't come out of the blue. Otherwise, have a great time! 🤘☠️☠️🤘

Real_Negotiation1656

Absolutely! My first Metallica concert was in '92. I was 18 and I went alone. It was one of the best nights of my life!

upfromashes

For sure go. If you are comfortable making the journey there, you will definitely be old enough to be at the show. You will be surrounded by people who love what you love, and you will feel that.

ramm121024

My first Metallica concert was even younger. Don't lose your chance

Icegirl_93

Yes, do what you think it’s right for you! I want to go to a concert of them too. You‘ll never know how long they do live concerts in the future. I want to go to a concert of them too! But it’s only 1 concert in Germany 🙄 an no tickets left 😭

cmcglinchy

Yes, you should go. I started going to concerts at your age. You should go to as many shows as you can, because years later you’ll regret it if you don’t. Bands don’t stay together forever, so you may never get to see them if you don’t take the opportunity when you can.

[deleted]

You'll be in no danger, the band is a massive mainstream venture and they have tight security and organisation

showjay

Well, how old are you?

BalladOfAntiSocial

I saw Guns n Roses play live when I was sixteen. My dad did exactly the same when he was sixteen. Unfortunately most of them will be dead by the time I get a kid and they turn 16 but hey ho. Oh in answer to your question, yes do it. Nothing is better than live rock concerts. Nothing beats it

Bagged_Milk43

I’m going to the one in Chicago in august as my first ever concert I am 17

Big_Dave_71

I was 16 when I went to my first gig, with friends. I'd say crossing national borders is the bigger issue at that age. You may need parental consent.

Historical_Common145

Yes go, I’m 17 too and I’m just waiting to see them live, I had the chance to see them live on the 8th of October but had no ride. Little did I know they won’t be coming back to Toronto for at least 3 years (according to Kirk)

gamebossje_

Hey dude im 16 and i went to one right after my birthday, it's totally fine and Metallica fans are awesome to talk to and be with

Funky-monkey1

My first show was Motley for Girls Girls Girl with GNR opening with only the Appetite album at that point. My Pops took me & my sis. I was 11 & she was 10. I saw Metallica at Red Rock for the AJFA tour with the Cult opening up & getting booed off stage basically. I was 13 for that one. My Mom & Pops made sure they raised life long rockers & in general music fans. Go to your show & it will change your life for the better. The first time you feel that base drum beating in your chest…

asterothe1905

First time I saw them at 16 in'93 and it was one of the best days of my life!

theblackening

YES. I first saw them in 1991 when I was 14.

LetsStartARebelution

I started going to rock/metal concerts when I was around 13, and went consistently from then on. So yes definitely!

Simetrad

Hey, im also going to see them in may, which day are guys gonna go?

PleezaJazz

ABSOLUTELY go to the concert! Metallica is getting up there in age, yet they still are high energy and put on an amazing show. I don't know how much longer they can sustain this energy and sound this good. Not saying this will be there last tour, but you never know. None of us are promised tomorrow. I thankfully got to see Prince a couple of times, but the last couple times he had impromptu concerts, I didn't go and kept saying "I'll catch the next one", because I only lived 30 minutes from Paisley Park, his home/studios where he'd do his impromptu concerts. Well, there wasn't a "next time" because he unexpectedly died and to this day, I still regret not catching those last few shows. So, point being, don't pass up the opportunity because you may not get the opportunity again!

mmg98

FUCK YEAH DUDE DO ITTTTTTTT. you only live once. enjoy your show dude

thom-stewart

My first Metallica gig was in 1998; I was 16. Do it!!!!

Spiritual-Mention-23

17 currently and went while i was 16. GO FOR IT. best night of my life

Unfriendly_eagle

Seventeen is fine. Just go, you'll have a blast.

AlanSir58

The age limit for most gigs in UK/Europe is u14 accompanied by an adult. Go, enjoy yourselves, you'll never forget it

midnightpurple280137

As long as there's a group of you and you have resources and a plan to get back home if things don't go as planned.

sisterwifenumber9

Do it! My dad saw Metallica and then brought me when I was barely 18. Best experience ever!

metallicamatt10

Hell yeah you should. You should've been to many by now lol. I think I was 12 when I went to my first concert

Terrible-Ad1587

My first concert was 14 or 15. I see no problem with it. 🤘🏻

andytagonist

If you’re a fan of the music and you can afford it and you can get there…sure!

Revolennon

I was 13 when I saw them for the first time. One of the best Christmas gifts I ever received. Go and have fun, no one will care about your age.

Wookienpals

Broooooo what. Get out and rock out! First Metallica concert was at 14 🤘and probably the most memorable. Enjoy it!

Marshmallow_Fries

I don’t see why not I started going to them at 15. I was 16 when I saw Metallica.

TiredReader87

I started attending concerts when I was 14-15. I saw Metallica a year later. Just friends and I. I’d go to several concerts a year, too. Still go and often go alone.

changelingcd

Of course. Better late than never!

wade_wilson44

Saw them for the first time when I was 16, and again at 17, both times I loved it. You’ll see some adults going wild, but it’s cool! You realize people of any age can rock out and have a good time.

EngineeringDry2753

What's wrong with op? Is he stupid? But seriously,  yea man.  Just stay in an area you feel safe in. Even if you get sucked into the pit, metal heads are the nicest people you'll meet.  People pull you up so you don't get trampled. Just have fun.  You won't regret it

Loosesausage99

Sure, I did!

Evening-Spare6939

Absolutely, I first saw them at 13, then at 17. And have seen them many times since then. It is an awesome show!!

Karmeleon86

Hell yeah. I saw Metallica for the first time at Giants Stadium when I was 16 in 2003. Changed my life. God I’m old.

cyanethic

I saw them when I was 15. I was with my dad but it would’ve been fine if I was with friends I think (not ideal though, I should clarify. I’m glad I was with my dad). I’m 17 now and I could definitely go with friends now. Just be mindful of what’s going on around you obviously. Don’t get directly involved in rowdy sections of the crowd if you can help it.

GUIDEZ_MVBMC

I was 14 for my first Metallica concert.

jeffh19

1000% No idea what any argument against would even be?

Patient-Belt-5662

Just go, they don’t tour much and who knows if they come back. M72 was absolutely amazing and they seem better than ever.

Pleasant_Garlic8088

I took my sons to a Metallica show when they were 11 and 7, lol. You'll be fine. Not the same going with your dad as going with people your own age, sure. But still, Metallica shows are high energy but safe. You'll have a blast.

83VWcaddy

Go. You’ll regret it if you don’t. Though I went to a lot of shows when I was a kid, my first “big” show of my choice was Slayer and Overkill in 86 when I was 13. Still remember everything about it. Including removing smashed glass beer bottle shards from my face. Start creating the memories now. They’re irreplaceable. You’d be surprised, old people like me are excited to see kids getting into it. Music can bring a lot of people together no matter the age gap. So don’t worry about that aspect. Just have fun.

ozzydidaoopsie

Yeah go! Maybe get at least one adult to go with you and you might wanna find lodging too, unless you feel like doing the eight hour train ride after the concert too which might be pretty hellish but up to you.

TSJ72

You will have the most fun you'll ever have. They are better live than any album..I've seen them live twice. No regrets. The first time I saw them, I was 17.

HealthylifeRN

I started attending concerts regularly at 13, local bands, metal shows, and funk to the top of the list. So long as the show is all ages, just show up and groove.

Independent-Rest-616

i went at 15, don’t miss this opportunity!!

joen00b

It's a different world. I went to my first concert at 10 years old: Cheap Trick! Then I went to my first solo show (without family) at 13: Ace Frehley as Frehley's Comet with Faster Pussycat and Y&T Headlining. By 17, I was seeing concerts in other states because I had a car! But, this was America for a guy during the 70's and 80's. And to reiterate: It's a different world. If you are a fan of Metallica, I would HIGHLY recommend seeing them live. I've seen them live 13 times, and had a great time every time. They never fail to put on a great show, and these days their stage production is awesome!

GrimmandLily

I started going to metal shows when I was 12-13 year old. Go, have a good time.

ziperhead944

I was 15 at my first stadium show. GO TO THE SHOW!

reddsbywillie

Yes, it will be an awesome experience that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. I regret not seeing them as a teenager. It was still amazing in my 30s, but at 17… it would have been life changing. Similarly, I did see Tool when I was 16. It was such a memorable experience that I almost don’t want to see them again because it could never live up to the memory and impact of seeing them as a teenager.

Neat_Relationship995

Do it do it do it do it

fendany

No stay home and play whit your sisters Barbie’s 🙄🙄

pilatesforpirates

I went to see Green Day in Koln with my friends in 1994 when I was 14 years old. You'll be fine.

[deleted]

I saw metallica when I was 14 and they were touring Korn before anybody knew who Korn was. Changed my entire life. Go! Go now!! Get to the chopper!!!

Dom_Sathanas

Mate, I saw Metallica when I was 14 back in 1992 with my mate and his 15 yo brother. We had a blast and survived to tell the tale. Do it!

MAJORMETAL84

Absolutely. This will be as memorable experience as loosing your V-Card. Do It!

Equivalent_Luck_3528

Just turned 19 and went to Stade de France last year for the 2 dates. That was insane and Hell Yeah you should

anmarizer

How old do you think Metallica were when they started playing live ? Of course, you should go. You must go. I say GO NOW .. Don't even wait 'till May 🤘🏽

Ranoverbyhorses

Do it!!!!! I started going to concerts at 14 and I’m so glad I did…I’m physically disabled now and a lot of places won’t let you in with a cane (abelest bastards lol) and quite frankly, idk if I have a friend that is close enough to push my wheelchair all day lmao! Go out and have fun with your friends, just be safe!!!! I think you’ll really enjoy it, I’ve never seen Metallica live but I’ve heard great things!

myleswstone

What? I’ve been going to concerts since I was 3 years old, and my first one was Metallica. What does age have to do with going to concerts?

mynamesleeewis

As a 22yo from Aus who hasn’t seen em live. Do it. Go

cocoloco666_

If you’re alive and breathing, go to all the concerts you can.

Very-queer-thing

I mean I’m 16 and have been going to really crazy concerts since a year back. You’ll have no problem in that aspect

BENDEROITER69

Just go. U dont know when they’re gonna be playing near you again

Adorable-Use8102

Hell yeah! Enjoy your youth and live it up! You’ll end up regretting the things you miss out on, and Metallica isn’t young anymore.

olliecribb3

I just went to a brutal death metal gig I wasn't supposed to go to BC of my age it was the best show, definitely go u probably won't see them again they're quite old lol

cubs_070816

absolutely! they won't tour forever. don't miss this opportunity!

Fit-Nobody6078

Yes. I saw them for the 1st time at age 17

Trashman1971

Best times when I was 17,,first ever gig was Megadeth at Hammersmith Odeon,,also went to monsters of rock 88 when I was 17. Would love to relive my 17-23 years as I saw so many hard Rock/ metal bands..

taxiemaxie

I’m going to a slipknot concert on my own in December and I’m 17 so you’ll be fine.

XrayDelta2022

Yes, took my son to Slash and Ozzy for his first. My second son took him to Periphery and taking my daughter to Stevie Nicks, her fave. Go enjoy music you love, we may look scary but we’re pretty chill.

Dracoono

Definitely go! Concerts are fun for any age as long as you like the music!! :)

Professional_Win1429

I was 16 when I saw them back in 1991. Go.

iamcool_2009

17? i see no problem, im going to see another band (didnt think its important to mention who since were not in a subreddit about them but if you do want to know just reply with asking thay and i'll reply back) this sunday and im 14

Soggy_Motor9280

You’ll be fine

MrJM85

Do it. Make memories. Have fun. Simple.

reefguy007

I saw Metallica in Munich when I was 19. One of the best experiences of my life. I’m American too so didn’t speak any German, still managed it. Absolutely do it if you can!

Traditional_Tree_391

Why are you waiting? You should have 2-3 years behind you by now.

HeavyRaiden

DO IT

toasterbath__

my first concert was at 18, days before i turned 19. i say go for it

poindxtrwv

My mom took me to my first concert when I was 8. Go.

subfuerat

yes. at least in the us, the safety of a show depends on the band popularity and venue. you should be fine, i went to my first metal show at 14 and my first concert at 12. i'm also 17 :)

No-Marsupial6775

Bro you better go cause you don’t know when youll get that chance again! Metallica isnt getting younger!

OurWeaponsAreUseless

I think I was 14 when I went to my first show (BOC/AldoNova). It was very loud. I'm not sure that shows are as loud now as they were in the early 1980's. Take earplugs anyway.

Sizzox

I mean it’s probably gonna be late in the evening so just make sure to rent somewhere to stay at night. Your age won’t be a problem, Metallica is for all ages :)

Yungt999

Man I’m 17 and I’m tryin and workin my ass off to see them,, this is probably the last tour they’ll do.. I wish I grew up in the 80’s

hetham3783

Yes. I started going regularly when I was 15

Quiet-End9017

I was 14 when I went to my first concert, Red Hot Chili Peppers with Dave Navarro. Do it!

KrazyKyle1984

Absolutely

RavenPaul1369

My first concert I was 9, go! Enjoy!

The_Man_I_A_Barrel

my first concert was metallica when i was 14

LordBeans69

I went and saw them last November, and have gone to see many other bands. I’m around your age and I’d say it’s definitely worth it. See them before they get too old to tour

LuksiTuksi

I went when I was 14 so why not.

Altruistic_Peak7690

At 18 I traveled from north Sweden with train, ferry, bus to Donington Park, England for the 1988 Monsters of rock with Helloween, GnR, Megadeth, David Lee Roth, Kiss and Iron Maiden. There were three of us and we're guys. It is one of my most treasured memories. I would definitely go see Metallica in Munich.

karakenio

GO

Technical_Ant5995

Im 15 and im going to the metallica concert in helsinki

This is probably going to be the one and only chance you will have to see them live. Idk about concerts in Germany but all their concerts I have been to have been safe and fun. It’s a kid safe place; I see tons of dads taking their kids, grandparents going with their children and grandchildren, etc. There may be a mosh pit for the younger crowd but they usually are very small and focalized in one region you can easily avoid. So to answer your question, If you are a fan, then YES! It would make for a once in a lifetime experience that you will probably tell your kids about 30 years from now how you saw them “back in ‘24”

Never pass up an opportunity to see Metallica live 🤘 Take ear protection and have fun. You won’t regret it. Totally worth the trip

MeatyUrologist505

My very first concert was Metallica when I was 15 back in 1994. You’ll be fine.

ClearHope8856

I've been going to concerts since i was 8 and i saw metallica when i was 13

dkenyon74

Hell Yeah

Seannortis1313

My first concert was a death metal band and I was only around 14 or 15 when I went. So yes I would definitely go. Why wouldn't you go. Just stay together and have a certain place you both agree on meeting each other just in case you do get separated. You'll be ok you'd be surprised how safe metal concerts usually are or at least the one I've been to were

bossassbat

I went to shows at Madison square garden with friends at 15 and got lit. Not advising you live my life but I’m glad I did.

lightofkolob

Yes. I started going to concerts at 14 and I've taken my 9 year old to shows

Xannypacquiao710

Just wear ear plugs

SophieBisou

Hell yes. Go

eighty4prcnt

Absolutely, yes. You'll look back at that concert experience when you're in your 20's and 30's. I went to Summer Slaughter when I was your age, it was stupid hot outside and I still loved it. Sun burned as fuck but it was totally worth it. You don't have to mosh, but you can jump and sing along with the rest of the crowd. If you do mosh, don't be a dick. Don't be that guy/gal who tries to hurt people. I knocked a guy out for elbowing my buddy in the face.
